Why Trickster needs a Rework

Let's compare the Trickster to the Huntress. Both powers are so similar that if you have one killer, there's not really a point to having the other killer. Both throw something that puts survivors into a dying state and the amount of time to put a survivor into a dying state with the thrown objects is pretty much the exact same. The only thing that differentiates them is how many they throw and that just isn't even close to differentiating them. You even get both objects from lockers.

However what does differentiates them is their skins. If I was buying one of these two killers, I would always buy the Huntress because her skins are so much better than Trickster, that it's not even funny. In fact, the Huntress could possibly have the best skins in the game.

Trickster needs a total power rework. Completely remove the ability to throw objects and rework his power from the ground up. Make the power something completely unique from the other killers. Maybe something to do with his voice, since he's a singer.

It was a good idea: many quick knives to injure instead of one slow hatchet. But the good idea got BHVRd and implemented as usual: now it's unfair for the killer to miss because of RNG recoil and quick decay of "injury" and unfair to survivors, because they can't dodge those rare knives that actually hit. I guess they were just afraid of Deathgarden's fate and didn't want to add a killer with a proper "shooting" mechanic.

Well the skins is up to personal preference tbf but trickster is in a situation where he’ll either be a much better or much worse huntress.

His main event feels tacked on and just kinda rushed too

I don't think he should be reworked. As someone who attempted to play Huntress before Trickster came out they feel completely different to play despite their powers being similar.

It's like the difference between a rifle and a sniper in FPS games. Trickster relies more on tracking while Huntress relies more on instant precision. It depends on the person's playstyle and what they're better at or prefer.

But the difference is this isn’t an FPS game. We already had a full auto styled range killer in the plague who used a beam weapon. She’s Balanced by the fact she can’t down with her normal puke.

If trickster is able to down with a full auto attack he becomes very oppressive at low wall loops to a point where even a lower skilled trickster can get an easy down. He’ll always have little counterplay due to not being able to dodge the blades since by the time you’ve dodged you’ll be hit by another 2 anyway. This leads to him having to be weak so he doesn’t become just a better huntress

If you have a lot of effectiveness increase add ons with Plague in combination with good aim I would argue that Plague can actually down faster than Trickster since I don't believe survivors get a speed boost when they become fully sick and injured (been a while since I played her) so she can combine her power with an m1 very quickly. But even then a beam attack is different from Trickster's power and those are different from Huntress's power. They're all really similar concept wise being ranged attacks but they all feel different to play even if it's a small difference. My aim when I play with Plague or Huntress is a lot less consistent than when I play Trickster. I think it also depends on hitboxes.

Or, just rework his main throwing mechanics into a burst fire power that can actually have the DPS to punish locked animations, but it incurs a cooldown to add a consequence for missing. Solved.
