Killers, Don't complain about immersive game play when...
You bring in broken add-ons like Judith's Tombstone and Iridescent Head Hatchets. Had a Huntress earlier who tried to tunnel out the first person they could at 5 gens. The rest of the team decided to just stealth as much as possible. We some how managed to save the person who was tunneled and got two gens done and they DC'd due to finding it difficult to find anyone.
What are we supposed to do, just come out into the open so they can snipe us with an instant down? You wanted to make the game difficult for a bunch of solos, well, we have the power to do the same.
*Note, not saying all killers are like this, nor am I shaming anyone for using what the game provides, just pointing out that there are consequences to your choices and actions. Don't throw a tantrum when it doesn't play out the way you imagined.
Also, survivors, stealth is always an option. Please learn how to use LOS blockers and get into lockers when the killer downs someone in order to counter BBQ. Even against the Doctor, as long as they're not running Iron Maiden, it's not too difficult to stay off of his radar.

For us who main Claudette, or once mained her, stealth definitely is always an option.

I had something similar happen a few weeks ago. It's best to just hide and try to do gens. Don't really know what the killer thought would happen.

Entitled killers will always complain.
How dare you hide!
How dare you loop!
How dare you hold W and pre drop pallets!
As someone who plays both sides you just gotta deal with these things. For me, once I know survivors like to play sneaky and hide it actually makes them more predictable and all the more satisfying when I find them hiding in a bush or crouched into a corner with Iron Will. Or successfully mind game at a loop.
Like this is literally applicable for both sides, you have to adapt to people's playstyles always.

Oh, you're a fellow Claudette main?! I always felt like you were a good person, now I know you're a fantastic person!

Thank you so much, my friend. It warms my heart to read this.
Though I eventually started favouring Quentin, Claudette was my main for a very long time. Back when DBD provided me with a level of enjoyment that no other game could, she was always there for my Survivor trials.
I really love her.

My issue with immersive survivors is they can force the very behaviors most survivors despise. If somebody is unhooked, yet the savior goes stealth mode and leaves the rescue on their own, it doesn't give me any other option BUT to tunnel. If the team is being immersive, and I finally hook somebody, do I continue spending ten minutes looking for people that don't want to be found, or hang around the hook in the hopes of spotting somebody else?
Then there are the survivors that are so immersive, they hold the game hostage. That's another matter entirely.

I love her too! Of all of the video games I have played in my life, she is my favorite character. I've never liked anyone from any game as much as I like her. I tried to play others but something about her just pulls me back to her.
I'm sorry you're no longer enjoying the game. I'm kind of there with you, and it's not just burn out. I really hope the Devs do something to breathe new life into the game and take some risks, and not just the stale old killer release every three months with rehashed powers. At the very least, I hope they give players the option to play Old Freddy so you can stick around a little longer.

The only complaint I have is maps still being unbalanced that have strong loop and loop that connect to each other which they haven't remove during the graphical update on the three classic realms. They also made some maps worse like the game, gas haven, groaning storehouse and cold wind maps in general.
The only map that is the most balance map in the game is saloon being a small map with loops that can be mind game with a few safe pallets.
I hope they truly balance the maps and remove breakable wall since it not working.

Fully agree - but just a nitpick, Iridescent Head isn't OP anymore. Only has one hatchet now so the Huntress can't snowball and isn't allowed to miss, which you can play around. If they miss the hatchet you pretty much win the chase because they either continue chasing as a powerless 4.4m/s, or they have to go to a locker and reload and that gives you so much time to make distance the chase is essentially over.
I'd argue the new Iridescent Head + Infantry Belt combo is Trickster's piercing and explosive knife addon combo.

That's a different type of immersive and you're justified to tunnel and camp in that situation.

It's not OP against good survivors, but against a bunch of obvious solo potatoes(majority of players), it is. And when solo potatoes see that Iridescent Head is equipped and the Killer is tunneling from the start, the killer has no right to complain. But yes, I agree with you in that it's not as broken as it was before.

I never complain about immersive play.
Survivors should be hiding, cowering and sneaking around the map. Killers are meant to be scary.
When survivors get immersive, I take it to mean I've done my job and they are suitably scared.
I prefer thematic play nothing worse than an in your face survivor who knows how to exploit the tiniest mechanic to drag out chases and waste time. Usually these people follow you, taunt you and flash light click which only ruins the immersion further.
All you have to do as killer is ignore them and they'll typically apply free pressure to their own team by following you and taunting rather than doing their objective so it kinda sucks for everyone. It blows to be on their team because they aren't really contributing and it blows to play against them because they kinda break the immersion.

The only reason stridor spirit tunneling off unhooks was fun was to ######### up blendettes that went into a game with no intention of interacting with the killer. ######### that and ######### those players.

Oh, my friend, I know the feeling you speak about. What you feel for Claudette is what I feel for Freddy, what made me stick with him even after he lost his old power. We all have a character which we hold close to our hearts.
As for the game itself, I wish my problems came from "burn out", as that is easy to solve. You probably already know how much I hate the recent changes, map reworks, visual changes, and the list goes on. DBD probably will never return to be the game I once loved, and it disheartens me.
Though I thank you for wishing that I get my killer back. That would certainly help.

Oooof. Someone is angry.

Targetting something doesn't imply anger big boy 😄, this was just bullying people with some extent of their intention on bullying out of abusing how illumination in this game works, out of spite more than anything. I'm actually sad I can't get away with easily bullying p3 iron will urban evasion claudettes out of the game anymore, post game chat was often hilarious. Good times.

eh immersive survivors are pretty annoying to play against
1 -
I don't, i much prefer the idea of Survivors out-stealthing me than out-looping me.
Use stealth my dudes, it can help you out lots!
2 -
I completely agree with you but tbh both sides ######### about whatever. Survivors complain about camping, tunneling, and slugging, while killers complain about stealth, W meta, looping, all that razzle dazzle.
I personally hate going against tunnelers and immersive survivors but I don't really care much about it and if I die or get 0-1 kills then I just move onto the next game. Plus, tunneling and stealth is necessary in this game, so meh.
