range killers on controller

no matter how many they add to the game they will never work well on controller because of one main reason.

controller sensitivity.

and I don't mean that because its too slow quite the contrary, its too fast.

to do well on controller you have to have your sensitivity pretty high to allow you to track a survivor who is within lunge range if your sensitivity is too low and the survivor decides to attempt a 360 the killer will struggle to turn fast enough to get the hit, that was the reason they doubled the sensitivity on controller in the first place.

but if your sensitivity is that high when it comes to aiming with a ranged killer the slightest twitch will make you over aim and miss the survivor completely. on killers like Huntress and Deathslinger who only have to hit once its barely manageable as you can time your shot as you flick over the survivor but on a killer like trickster who has to hit the survivors multiple times it becomes a real problem.

I suggest that the devs add an extra sensitivity option for when killers use there powers and give us the option to toggle which killers this affects that way controller killers can decide which killers have a different sensitivity when using there powers and which are not effected.

for me I would toggle on killers like huntress, Deathslinger, trickster, Demogorgon, nemesis and twins so they will have a slower aim when I'm using there powers but all other killers that I did not toggle on will not be affected.

I think this will be a great quality of life change for everyone especially for our poor console brethren.

I’m on console. I actually prefer lower sensitivity on my ranged killers. Around 60%. On console the frames dip when they spin on PC. On my screen they start moving in a way that doesn’t make any sense. They become all “floaty” and “blippy”. Whenever I lunge I automatically miss. As if I swung where they were. Then they reach their vault/pallet. So I try not to rely on auto-assist. I lower the sensitivity to keep a close enough eye, and then get close enough to swipe. Even take a step back sometimes.

I wish we would have a slight AIM assist on console, just to get the right direction. Also i typically have frame rate drop whenever I aim especially with deathslinger, but it can happen with Huntress too.

Yes, it wouldn't hurt the ranged killers, I mean they have it in any serious fps on console so why not here?

I am not talking about snap on aim or something like that just some aim assist as in Call of Duty or Battlefield

Aim assist would be great if the weapons had no travel time, but because they do aim assist could actually make it worse rather than better.

Additionally, there would probably be loads of controversy over it, as does this happen with every game that allows aim assist on controller but not on mouse, which gives me another reason to simply not want it despite being a console player myself.

Ive always played mid sensitivity. I saw all the better COD players I faced all had super high sensitivity, but I can't play like that, I prefer to be steady. I have no problem playing killers on console, id wager id be fine with Nurse or Blight if I tried 😅

When I talk about Aim assist I talk about a slight help, basically with mouse you can aim quicker. I didn’t mean anything like spot on aim assist. For me it’s a bit stressful that I have to set sensitivity for each killer if I wanna to be competitive

Only killer I hate on controller is trickster, his sway is far too hard to control.

But this is what happens when they design it on pc without testing controller. Its not different to healing someone and dropping a pallet being the same button...

Most of the time a simple sensivity slowdown while near/over the target helps a lot
