Will the devs ever change what people hate about NOED?

I understand they have changed NOED multiple times, BUT the main thing everyone wanted changed which was the exposed at the end of the game has remained the same for 5 years now. I understand "just do bones" I've been hearing it for 4 years, but off all the perks people have been complaining about why does the #1 most hated perk get a pass? This isn't a nerf NOED post, I'm genuinely curious.

This isn't a complain about survivors thread people

It is a perk only active at the end stage of a match with a tangible strong effect that can be countered before it is triggered, after it is triggered and the trigger is doing gens!

Therefore, either do the totems before the last gen, do the totem that lights up at the end before the save or give up one survivor and just escape. Like... why isn't it changed? Maybe because it really isn't all that bad to face?

My only real gripe is the ability to hide it. Noed should be revealed the instant the 5th gen pops imo.

As soneone who started as killer, I always prioritize totems.

I don't like using NoED, but i love NoED existing in the game because it's the only reason survivors need to do dull totems. It would be a big buff to survivors in general if they removed NoED.

Gonna need a source on that. The initial main complaint was that it lasted forever, which is why it was nerfed to only last 2 minutes. Then it was that the counter was to do nothing for 2 minutes, so it became a hex. It seems like the "main complaint", in truth, is just that it's a killer perk to punish survivors for never letting go of the gens.

    the #1 most hated perk

Again, need a source for that. Self-Care was definitely more hated, as was Decisive Strike before its balance change.

Personally, what I hate about NOED is that survivors still won't cleanse totems, despite its existence. So what I hate about NOED isn't even related to NOED.

I’m starting to think there there is a huge community that play this game who just want to win all the time at the cost of gameplay.

NOED is fine to play and play against. Heck with how often you can power through the gens with the killer on only 1-2 hooks NOED is a godsend for adding some tension back into the game.

NOED is fine as is. I don’t like being on the receiving end of it- especially with killers who played badly. I feel like it’s a crutch. But it’s actually a necessary evil the game needs. NOED gets less popular the higher you climb in rank, and thank goodness for that.

Just keep NOED the way it is. It's the only killer perk that gives survivors a reason to do dull totems, other than the old Undying.

Seriously. How many perks do the devs need to give survivor for them to cleanse the bones? I'm secretly thinking BHVR is trying to tell survivors something.

I think Survivors are hoping they can get the devs to remove totems if they continue to ignore them and then scream about how 'unfun' they are.

You can see this same tactic in use with every Killer launch: New Killer hits PTB *5 minutes later* '<Killer> is unfun!' 😁

    NOED has 3 counters

    1) Cleansing all 5 totems ahead of time

    2) Cleansing the NOED totem after gates are powered

    3) When it's blatantly obvious that NOED is now in effect, don't screw around with the killer and just get out

The fact that some people don't want to do any of the above is a failure on their part moreso than NOED's.

    It's the ever-present perk of he-who-shall-not-be-named.

It's not going to be changed.

to be honest i don't really have a problem with noed. Its a annoying perk but i find it fair. one tip that really helps against noed is that for every gen that is done the survivors should prioritize one totem. This has helped alot against noed
