PC - Overnight framerate drop

I played last night fine. I logged on today and the game is lagging and stuttering like crazy.
I'm on PC so we're usually immune to this kinda stuff, but I've had several other PC players test it and they're getting similar results. IDK what the hell is going on -- DBD didn't update overnight. I tried rolling back my drivers, reinstalling DBD, nothing is fixing it.
NVIDIA 2070, but I've had others test and confirm it on their PCs as well.
It's awful as killer. As Survivor, it has patches of running smooth, then drops to hell randomly during the match. it's at the point where the game is unplayable for me.

Update -- checked again today, same thing. Framerate still terrible.
