Breakdown of the Legion.

With the new 2.4.0 update came the Legion, and so far, they haven't been received super well. In fact, pretty much the entire community agrees that the Legion is below Freddy. This discussion is basically just me wanting to see what people think about the Legion, and how they could rework them.
In my opinion, the Legion is pretty bad, with a pretty bad killing rate, lacking in both speed and downing potential. Throughout most of the games I've played against the Legion, at max 2 people died (if any,) and the Legion pretty much can't do anything about that. The Legion either can't catch up due to their %110 movement speed, or needs to use their power to catch up, which both end up with the survivor getting away, and the Legion stuck without downing anyone. This wouldn't be such a problem if it weren't for how long the chases with the Legion last, and how the power encourages attacking multiple people in one power, when most of the time all the survivors are separated, and aren't within close enough range to actually get a hit on them. This is even worsened by the Legion's perks. The three perks exclusive to them; Discordance, Mad Grit, and Iron Maiden all enforce separating survivors, literally going against their power. This case is essentially just Monitor and Abuse on the Doctor, except with all three of their perks. They don't fit the killer, and are more for helping other killers.
Despite how situational and irrelevant the Legion's power and perks are, however, under specific circumstances, this killer does extremely well against a certain types of players, namely SFW's and Dwights.
The rare occasions where the Legion did get a 4k, everyone was either working together, or in a SFW. The fact that the Legion can, on rare occasion, injure 4 survivors in the span of ONE use of his power, and keep them from healing themselves is insane. The Legion's ability to ignore sandbagging/body blocking is insane. The Legion's ability to see generators being worked on by multiple people without a catch, for at least 8 seconds, is insane. The Legion ability to go up against extremely well-coordinated survivors is potentially insane, granted the survivors keep sticking together anyway. Basically, if the survivors don't take the effort to counter the Legion, they're in for a frustrating match.
Something else to note is that, while Deep Wounds sounds godly on paper, once you actually get in game and start playing with/against it, you realize how truly underwhelming the it is. Whether the killer plays Legion like intended, or just tunnels one person with their power, Deep Wounds really isn't that much of a threat. Because of how the Deep Wounds meter stops while in a chase, and doesn't down if a survivor keeps mending while the meter runs out, the entire status effect is simply lackluster. The only place where Deep Wounds really does matter is in the changes to Borrowed Time, as it could potentially give more time to a survivor who gets hit straight off the hook, but only really makes a difference based on the survivor's skill, as the timer doesn't go down during a chase, and keeps the survivor from depending on Self-Care, or another survivor. Other than that, there really isn't much Deep Wounds does if the killer doesn't keep out of a chase while still following the survivor, which is super hard.
A way that could rework the Legion is to give them a normal %115 speed, and give Deep Wounds a MUCH longer timer that can't be taken away, and is simply something that gives survivors an important objective every now and then. Instead of mending oneself to get rid of the meter altogether, mending oneself should refill the meter. This is really only a concept, and would probably be a headache on the survivors part.
The Legion was essentially a Dwight nerf, and a No-Mither buff.

The worst part is that, even though I've gotten to Rank 3 on Killer, I'm sadly a Rank 1 survivor main complaining about how bad a killer is.

TL;DR:
The Legion is mega-good against SWF, but that's basically it. Though their perks are generally good, they don't mix well with the Legion's power. Most of the time, Deep Wounds doesn't even stall or down, and just annoys the survivor. The choice to make use of Deep Wounds when using Borrowed Time was good. The best bet is to rework the Legion, instead of nerfing or buffing them. RIP Dwight mains. Now is the perfect time to get Adept David. Sorry for such a long post lol.

Don't get me wrong, I have had a lot of fun with the Legion already and even pulled off a 4th survivor Morrie, but I have a major complaint.....HE IS SO F****** SLOW!!!!!! survivors can run in a straight line and I will almost never touch them. its soo annoying especially since the LEGION CAN RUN! WHY IS HE SLOW?! Wait ik, the ability draw back, and NOT BEING ABLE TO DOWN SOME ONE WHEN RUNNING IS #########!!!

Without addons for Legions ability, I have found that getting even 2 kills is a challenge unless you camp. I rage when survivors without Sprint Burst can seemingly walk away from me for the whole map on ability cooldown, but don't die when you hit them when they are injured.... When you run up to them and leave the Frenzy mode to drop them, the drawback [BAD WORD] you and they walk away.,...…..JUST #########

Legion either needs standard movement speed to finish a chase or his power needs a coup de grace to down a victim.

Ngl, there has been 3 games where I kill all survivors(im currently lv 20 with Legion), and in 2 of those games I pulled off a frenzy on all 4 survivors before they even repaired a generator which brings me to believe is the reason why I got all 4. I have learned that when someone is 1 shot, to NEVER FRENZY unless they are vault camping. Pretty much guarantees a down after about 5mins of chasing though lol

Base legion is bad definatly but he enters levels of broken once hes using the purple add ons that down in 3 hits with the power.
Also despite having played dozens of game with him im not sure if its fair to have a player just drop because you are moonwalking towards them. Most other add ons dont do enough to help a 4 hit legion mostly because mend can be done so fast.

Honestly focus on legion power as a tool for downing was a mistake its a solid opening attack but its utterly frustrtating for survivours as their is literally nothing you can do minus praying their stupid enough to get hit by a pallet stun. I would recomend making it so bleed out dosent drop a survivour below 33% if the survivour is in his terror radius. Unless striked by legions power

Give him the 4.6 movement speed. In dbd playing pallets is the core of this game and making it so a killer can completely circumvent pallets and strike players down without any counterplay is just frustrating. Whats worse is legion isnt that hard to play so irregardless of how good you as a survivour are it doesent matter legion will still down you.

    Tldr
mend needs to take longer at base as knife add ons are mandatory due to mend being so fast.
Increase base duration so tagging multiple targets is possible.
Make the deep wound deplete down to no further then 33% if legion is still in terror radius.
Franks mix tape  and stab wound study need to be change dowing in two hit with frenzy is absurdly strong.
He needs 4.6 ms to compensate for these changes so he can be more flexible on loops.
Legions goes from being ridiclously strong to patheticly weak with his current add on set up.

His Power needs a change too. Like the double stun is unnessecary. As my writer above mentioned his addons range goes from being ridicliously strong to pathethicly weak so basically he is a doctor 2.0 but more worse in ability. Just refund him honestly until devs change something so you can buy them again

Haven't played him yet, put about 200k BP into him to get a few things ready for some games tonight. A lot of stuff worrying me about his playability but I'll wait to play for myself, I tend to have a liking for the low end killers. Doc is one of my faves so who knows haha

As a rank 1 killer who's been playing Legion alot these past couple days, I honestly believe that this killer is actually pretty fun, and no where near Freddy tier.
This isn't to say that they are without their drawbacks, which there are quite a few, such as not being able to see scratch marks while frenzied, Mend action being entirely too short for what it does to someone realistically, and the fact that they only have 110% movement speed.
BUT! I have gotten more 4 kills than anything else. Of course I've also lost terribly in a few games where I killed no one, but who hasn't?
The strategy I've come up with is frenzy, stab, see if anyone else is around in the immediate area and stab them as well, pick one survivor who has been debuffed, catch up with them using frenzy, come out of it and then hit them.
What I've seen is people EXPECT you to hit them a second time while in frenzy mode, and if you don't, they try to juke you and stay really close by while you're coming out of the stun, which basically gives you a free normal hit which downs them.

That being said, I think the legion does need some work, but I don't believe they need as much as everyone is saying. We can't expect Nurse tier killers every time DLC gets released, not to assume anything anyone is thinking.

Side note: The add ons I use are typically Susie's mix tape and Stolen Sketchbook.

I remember the suggestion of adding some move speed for every deep wound you have on a survivor, up to the base 115%.  This would encourage use of frenzy on multiple targets as you would have the speed to finish the job IF you use it properly.

Although in complete honesty, Legion is not a terrifying killer. Some teenage girl twirling around a knife or ruler with some pokeys taped on is not as threatening as a towering monster or twisted and horrific being. You’d think David would be able to lay Legion out with a good right cross.

Honestly I think he's great, I've played and enjoyed him as a killer and played and enjoyed being against him as a survivor... I think he's right in the middle right now. I just like his idea. A killer that works like a survivor sounds like a great idea to me and the way they implemented mending was smart too.

I tried, the new legion in the PTB, it's terrible. The worst thing you could do with him is a pause after the miss. Have you ever tried to hit the spinning like a spinning vyzhevshemu, in the tall grass, a very short blow, and you have only one attempt? And he is now very slowly jumping palletki and windows
