Carrying DS should put you at risk more than No Mither
Survivors with DS are broken for the entire game. Your cries are 100/75/50% louder and they do not stack with IW or NM. But every survivor that dies lowers the penalty by 20% so it would only be 80/55/30% louder.
DS only gives you one shot. You miss it, it’s gone.
DS can only activate if the killer has an obsession perk.
For how rewarding DS is, it should be risky.

I don't use DS so I don't really care if it gets a nerf, but this??? no, this is ridiculously harsh.3

I don’t get this, how is D.S. even so strong? If you’re the obsession you either get to get off the shoulders instantly or you just miss it. If you aren’t the obsession you have to wiggle first, which is much harder now because hooks are practically everywhere.
It can be strong in some cases, yes, but only a few and is very situational. The most popular being picked up at the exit gate and escaping, which is very situational. It’s like e blood warden of survivor, but no one complains about blood warden.

Missing the skillchecks is compeltely the survivors fault.
You said it yourself, you get off the shoulder instantly and yet you ask why the perk is so strong? And you can bodyblock for non-obsession DSes and they can escape easily

I just don't see DS as THAT big of an issue... almost everytime I'm hit with it I either give out a "oh wow, nice DS" or a " oh no, not DS what ever shall I do?!!" and then I put them back down...
yes, it adds more time to the chase, but unless I'm running into it multiple times in the same trial its really not that bad.
and I've only run into multiple DS maybe twice?1 -

please show me any killer nerf that would be equivalent to this, if you can I'll take back what I said.Save The Best For Last went from a very useful (and used) Killer perk to absolute garbage in a single patch.

that doesn't really give me much to go on, what was nerfed about it?Original: You become obsessed with one Survivor. As long as your Obsession is alive, the cooldown of missed attacks is decreased by 14/18/20 %. The cooldown of successful attacks is decreased by 25/29/33 %.
Gutted: You become obsessed with one Survivor. As long as your Obsession is alive, after being in a chase for 20 seconds the cool-down for your next successful attack is decreased by 30/35/40 %. Your successful attack cool-down remains active for 5 seconds after not being in a chase and is lost after those 5 seconds have past if no Chase is initiated.
Trust me, if Survivor perks were nerfed in a single patch as much as Killer perks, they might finally gain some perspective. Either that or stage an armed assault on BHVR's headquarters.

while part of that IS a nerf, there is something in it that I would consider a buff... the removal of the requirement to be in a chase for 20s for it to even activate.
and aside from that its more of a mechanic change than a nerf when it changes from the flat percentages to the token system.
I will absolutely agree that it seems weaker, but when compared to the OP here... at least it has an upside...0 -

Uh... Did you read what I wrote? The first version was how the perk was released. The second version was after it was gutted. What we have now is the third iteration of the perk, after it became the most worthless perk in existence.

if you only provided the first and the second without the "third" how was I supposed to compare it?
no need to act all condescending, yes I read what you wrote. good grief, is it not possible to have a polite conversation with you?0 -

Because the nerf was between the original and second versions. The third/current version is irrelevant when it comes to show you the massive nerf that perk suffered.

its not irrelevant if we're talking about the changes made to the perk overall AND especially not irrelevant if you're going to use the third version to claim it as what makes the perk the "most worthless".
I already gave my input on the information you provided, so I guess it's just a difference of opinion at this point.
I still see an upside listed in the changes you showed while I see no upside on the OP.
that being said, I could definitely support some changes to DS. Like the one I saw before about only the obsession being able to use it... but giving the killer the power to completely nullify the perk by not bringing in an obsession perk seems one-sided.0 -
Ya'll actually falling for this?

I didn't claim the third version is what makes the perk "most worthless". Nowhere did I say anything that could even remotely be interpreted in that manner... if you're paying attention, that is.
If you want a civil conversation, you'd do well to actually read what I'm writing.

Can't quote something like this without reading it, but I'm done... I almost avoided responding to you from the beginning of this because of the issues I've had with you before...
I've tried to be polite this whole time, but obviously that's a useless endeavor with someone who acts so childish and can't even back up what they write.
have fun, I've got more important things to do than argue over such a moronic post to begin with.

Yes, the third iteration is the iteration after the perk became useless. In other words, the iteration prior to the third iteration (i.e.: the second iteration) was the one when the perk became useless.

Devs will not make DS like that, stop crying and just equip enduring...

Weren't they already planning a change to DS? Making it a stun, rather than dropping the survivor?
I never have issues with survivors using DS. It's an extra chance, that's all. Most survivors using it immediately run a straight line from where they're dropped so its easy to chase them down. But you have to deal with it once in a match and that's it.
Methinks, someone got a 0k and last survivor used DS to escape XD

Just rework ds to increase pallet stun duration with a cooldown of 50 seconds. It will be a nice counter to spirits fury enduring combo and it will give killers less of a reason to tunnel a non obssesion player over chasing the ds player.
Seriously ds does more harm to your team when a killers is playing around it for example chasing an unhooked survivour over going for the ds player. I don't get why 90% of ds players will screw their team over just to cover there own ass. Are ds players just antimates in general?
Its is harmful to both killer and survivour games. Promoting tunneling and motivating killers to be toxic. But hey you got your escape you got out who cares if you mess over your team.0 -
