Super annoying when that happens. Had that happen on Swamp, incidental three gen two on the dock and one in the corner. Someone found a key and two ditched the last person trying to do gens. I felt bad and my challenge to get a 4k was over so I escorted her to the exit.

Doors have to stay RNG. It would be unfair and unfun if every match either side could always expect a win simply based on doors being close or far. Not to mention how various killers have advantages or disadvantages with gates.

Even if you close it...guess what? Key insta click can re open it, so that whole idea doesn't work.

If keys are so viciously oppressive as your posts would like people the believe, then none of these should have been remotely close to 4ks. Keys, map offerings, meta perks, swfs, not to mention playing a few of the least powerful killers in the game and in 2 cases basically without perks.

You could have easily got bad players bro, talking about most times. It's obvious yeah you can beat keys but the insta escape is just un balanced.

Doors pretty much spawn on opposite ends of the map, just only on indoor maps. Otherwise, they usually spawn on adjacent walls or on the same wall.

Honestly this. I can understand people talking about ways to add better synergy to the game but a lot of this stuff tends to reek of "I had a bad match, devs change the game" and when a change comes along "devs had a bad match, why'd they change the game?".

Yeahhhhh.... That's why I said keys are a different story. My whole comment has to do with killers not being able to grab and why that mechanic wouldnt work with door rng and killers being able to close

Hatch can stay and all that's fine but the No opening sequence along with no interrupt needs to change. You can literally pull people off of everything other than hatch, even tho it was a function before.

What if the killer got big bloodpoint ( and emblem score)boost for it to make up for the escape.

Because hatch standoffs were not fun for anyone. So they gave the killer the ability to close it but have yet to do anything about keys. Which again is why I said keys are a different story. I made this comment before you edited yours which seemed targeted at hatch, not keys. That's why I said grabs, closing and bad door rng would not be a good mechanic for hatch

No it was always targeted at keys, i had to highlight it since nobody seemed to understand what i was saying. Hatch stand offs indeed are not fun but now it's in a place where if they were the stand off the survivors gonna win if they have a key

My point still stands about hatch (not keys) I'm not arguing that keys are fine. They clearly aren't, but we also know that something is in the works for them, so adding a grab on top of closing hatch would be a bad mechanic to add before we even know what's going to happen with keys. Now in the future if keys do an animation to open hatch then sure a grab mechanic would work.

why would it be a bad addition if you use space to close the hatch, and then you click just like ripping someone off a gen, out of the hatch mid jump. It should have stayed

It has been 8 months since they said they were working on a direct key change when the mori nerf went live, and it still isn't here. Hopefully, when they do nerf it, they will do like mori and not announce it, but I'm very skeptical that a direct key nerf will even happen.

Because killers would have literally all of the power in a 1v1 situation. There would be no reason for a survivor to try, there would be no hope. And this would easily make solo Q even more tedious.

I think a key should be available in every game, but only be accessible if certain requirements are met - kind of like flashbang, but more difficult. So, it's balanced around your performance in the game. I feel the same way about Mori's.

No because you could only be grabbed if you were injured. That's not "all the power"

Maybe under your way of wanting it, but from what I recall it didn't matter if you were healthy or injured when hatch grabbing was a thing.

i think hatch is fine as it is, i never slug for the 4k unless i dont have the bbq token or u were way too toxic for my taste, keys should get changed.

Hatch was the one exception where you can be grabbed fully healed. I have yoinked many teabagging survivors because they didn't know, and the ones who did challenged me to a hatch stand off.

That change wouldnt allow the 4-man hatch escape Achievement/Trophy to be possible, and changing achievements is for some reason very insanely difficult on the consoles. Microsoft and Sony both resist it mightily, and I'm not really sure why, but they do.

No at the time it was balanced, but when they nerf one side (killers) survivor's insta abilities still exist and can be exploited
