Hacking
I just got out of a game with a Bubba who was rapidly throwing infinite iridescent head hatchets…what the hell?? Two things, how do I report this if I’m on console and the killer is on Steam? And what do you guys think about this? Is this type of cheating going to be more egregious moving forward? What about the hackers who are discreet about their cheating? I swear to you some players have their killers moving as fast a cloaked Wraith without any speed perks, add-on’s, or bloodlust. This is definitely a big down side of cross play. If this continues I may have to stop away from this game for good.

I have only seen around 3 hackers in my 4.5k hours. Havent seen one in a long time.
You can just turn crossplay off

Bubba buff lookin good
In all seriousness, just send a report ticket with as much evidence as possible, its all you can do

You know que times will sky rocket. Not a viable option, unfortunately. I’d rather reluctantly walk away.

unfortunately
1) you have to record him
2) The anti cheat is pretty bad, its doubtful its going to get worse but its probably never going to get better

Lol where to?

Who ya gonna call?

Along with the in-game report, you can submit a Support ticket with video evidence for the ACMs to review: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000942011
For more information on the Game Rules and Report Process, you can see them here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules

Well that’s definitely unfortunate….
Ok, will do. Thanks.

I'm on PC and Q times are the same with it Off

Same. I only have 1k hours and I might have seen 2 people who were clearly hacking. Seen a lot of suspicious stuff but nothing concrete.

It’s not the same for console, bro. Que times are much longer. Someone even made a thread about it a month ago.

Where can someone go to extract the video am i able to go to a match history to get the video like leagur of legend or i should stream all my game in case i get a hacker
1 -
Consoles have the ability to record by default, from what I hear, and it's not difficult to set up your PC to record at the push of a button.

There are 2 Types of Hackers (in pretty much any Game):
1 The "I dont care if i get banned - Full Aimbot, 300 mph Speedhack or whatever" - Hacker
2 The "legit Hacker"
I guess you faced the first Type of Hacker. I saw that hatches spamming Hack before on YouTube and its ridicoulus. I dont know if i would play that Match tbh.
There are also a lot more "legit" Hacker in the Game than you might think. They give themselfes like 1 or 2% extra Movement Speed"-Hack". and other subtile Cheats like always fast vault or such Crap. You shoudl keep your eye way more on that kind of Hacker, as they can be very difficult to spot. I recommend watching one or 2 Videos about that so you can spot them better in the Future and report them to keep the Game clean.
Sadly you cannot do more than report Hackers, but dont Forget to also report them directly to Steam. For that go to their Steam Profile and click on report. So if they wont get banned in DBD, they will get banned on Steam and also cant play anymore!

I think the most popular hack is constant survivors aura reading "wallhack". I've met a ton of people who somehow see you from the other side of the map without BBQ or similar perks, who see you behind stones and threes while you never show yourself, etc. Recently I've seen a guy who used BBQ, but was able to see me while I was in a locker literally across the map. When I called him out, he started making up BS about "I just wanted to check a gen or something", even though I never touched that gen he was talking about. There are quite a few cheaters in the game if you count all those "legit" guys who actually try to hide.

There is currently no ability for the game to record the match itself for report submission; they will need to be recorded by the player. Consoles have the ability to record the play session with their Share/record options, and for PC, if you have a Nvidia Graphics card, they offer a recording software with GeForce Experience (there is also OBS that can record your match as well).
For more information on how to Record for Reports, you can find it here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/66835/recording-evidence-for-your-player-report

That’s unfortunate. Smh. That Bubba did have wall hacks, because after he downed all 3 of my teammates in quick succession, he started throwing hatchets at the wall I was behind from 50 yards out. I know he didn’t see me.
Off Topic: I tried to respond to someone earlier and I received a notification in the bottom left stating that my comment would be posted once it was approved?? What the hell? What’s that about? It was nothing negative or controversial. Just regular chat…

So if they "see" you behind Stones or walls, it could be a good headset or they could have a stretched resolution (4:3). So Survivors can see over Objects and Walls. This is nothing new to be honest and its very sad.
So if its only that it could also be a streched resolution.

I remember how I recorded demos for reports in Half-Life 2: Deathmatch back in 2010 or something. I'm sure source engine has this feature since release in 2004. It's done by a simple console command "record NAME" and "stop", which could easily be bound to keyboard. Imagine recording a fully-functional game demo literally by pressing a single button on your keyboard, without requiring any extra software! Too bad we can only imagine a game in 2021 having a feature from 2004 (and earlier, I'm sure).

I don’t think it allows them to see that far out over walls, though…across the map I mean.
Btw I tried to respond to your earlier post but I received a notification stating it needed an approval?? @EQWashu Do you know why that is? There was nothing negative or controversial in my response. Just regular chat…

Thanks for the info…yea he was definitely number 1. Just blatant with it. Yea number 2 is very scary. Can you still report someone on steam if you don’t have a Steam I.D and played against them via console? Steam doesn’t even give you access to comment on their forums if you’ve never purchased/played a game from them, I believe.

Awesome! Thank you!

I have encountered multiple blatant hackers and reported them over these time and most of them have they steam profile still clean so don't waste your time, it will get ignored unless the automatic anticheat detects them.

The approval Problem happened to me aswell a few times.
Btt: did the killer use whispers?

That’s unfortunate. I submitted one earlier to the BHVR team, though.
I didn’t stick around to find out. I clipped the shenanigans then DC’ed. Wasn’t about to be messed with in that manner, for someone’s amusement. In hindsight I should have stuck around to see how the game played out and what else hacks he could do. Via spectating of course.

Just last night, I came across a hacking Trickster. I knew something was immediately off as soon as I loaded into the game because his terror radius sounded map wide or as if he spawned literally right next to me. Then Jake went down almost immediately. Hooked then Steve moments later. I seen him fly across the map, hopping if you will. He was throwing hatchets; the most common hacker. Long story short, he let me escape, respecting the 4% but the exit to the game was behind the exit gate, it was weird. I didn't want to dc because I've heard of hackers being able to put a matchmaking ban on your account to basically never play again. It was so weird man. I recorded it from my PS4 to show my friends but I honestly doubt reporting is going to do much good so I didn't do it.

lovely having to do their job
first time you see a cheater they are likely to get away with it. they cheat blatantly and try to belittle you because they know nothing will happen

It will be rare to see a rage hacker like a bubba throwing hatchets and flying or a survivor ending the game instantly and hooking themselves over and over because they are easy to record and report. The biggest problem is the survivors hiding their cheats and just using esp (the god loopers that you just can't ever seem to catch) or survivors that give themselves a speed boost.
I had a killer that tried to hide their cheats and just hung around the locker i was in and just magically walked past when i was forced out before the birds appeared. This happened at the end of the game making it obvious since he didn't even bother looking for hatch.
Personally i have only encountered 7 rage hackers in 5k hours. Most of them have been this year for some reason.

They can direct you to other peoples profiles and hide their own.

About those "legit cheaters" someone mentioned earlier: just had a game against a survivor who used an "endless window" (!!!) cheat. Yeah, you heart that right: not speedhack, not godmode, not "self-resurrection". Just a cheat which never allows the entity to block the window the survivor is vaulting. He vaulted the same window 6 times in a row, all within the same chase, and the window stayed open. I was able to down him during the endgame and he didn't pick himself up. I guess he would have "unhooked" himself if I had been camping, but I just didn't care. Of course all 4 of them escaped. And of course I haven't recorded anything, since it's a game released in 2016, and not in 2004, to have quick in-game recording features, and I didn't bother alt-tabbing and launching obs either.
And he didn't try to show it off in any way: he was just looping a strong loop like a usual player, except a small detail that the window would never block.
Just wanted you to know that there are a great variety of cheaters out there. EAC is doing pretty good job so far.

That sucks man. I’m booting up the game while reading your post, smh lol. Sorry you had to deal with that.
