i have developed a method for figuring out how familiar someone is with the Monster Hunter series

If you have no knowledge of the series whatsoever, you see a very strange looking fish

if you have played some of the more recent games (World, Rise, Stories 2, etc) you might recognise this as a monster from the earlier games but can't quite remember it's name

if you are decently familiar with the series, you would recognise this creature is the Plesioth, one of the most hated monsters in the series

if you have played Freedom Unite, odds are you are currently experiencing war flashbacks and regret clicking on this post
