Perks the devs buffed right but no one uses still as meta
A few prime examples Alert great buff still uncommon Open-Handed good buff still uncommon. Which is a bummer since they were right calls by the devs but they’re still not used more

Because your whole perk lay-out has to be build around Lucky Break. So you are giving up endurance perks, anti-tunneling perks and all matter of other useful perks to make one perk work.

Second Wind, Detective's Hunch, Make Your Choice, No Way Out.

Its sime the buff are good but the meta perk are too strong why would you bring alert when you BT,DH and all the other broken perk survivor have at their disposal

I thought Iron Maiden would become more popular whith double exposed time. But I never see it.

I absolutely love open handed and bond/kindred. Also I don't think every perk should be considered meta. A lot of perks can be good and not meta, like open handed.

Because this perks are good but they needs skills for use. You have to break LoS first and then you have to hide, somewhere killer can not find you. And so much survivors can not do this, so they will stay on boring second chance perks.

Lucky Break, easily.
No Way Out is pretty damn powerful now, I can see it being used more eventually. You don't need an endgame build for it, it's a great perk on its own because it allows you to slow the game down after the 5th gen is completed, giving you a chance to catch the survivors with a lot more time before they open the gate.

They change hangman trick the first change was really good the perk could have beat BBQ but they decide to nerf it after the PBE so the perk never saw play after the change

Sorry buddy as a solo survivor I need to have DS, BT, Kindred in my build to protect against Tunnelly killers. No room for any other perks lol.

I guess most people when playing survivors including myself actually dont like that playstyle and rather want get seen so they are a target for the killer. Chase is the main fun part of this game, so why cut it short? :)

Tunneling and Camping kind of forces Borrowed Time, Decisive Strike or Sprint Burst (The hidden anti-tunnel perk). When you have 1 or 2 perk slots dedicated to toxic killer behavior, then it's hard to decide on the last 2 or 3 open perk slots.

Because the only killers it actually works well on are Huntress for the reloads and Doctor for the people that want to hide from madness. Most Huntress' that I face use it but Doctors seem to not understand his kit and use Monitor and slowdowns to either only mess with skill chicks or try to play him as a pseudo stealthy killer. The most common Doc build I see is Monitor, Overcharge, BBQ, and Sloppy or Thana with Iridescent add-ons.

A very old buff, but the Deja Vu change from just seeing 1-2 gens nearby to a perk that shows you 3 gens that are closest together was a nice boost.

And trickster

I think the open handed buff was great. But at the same time I think it's a niche perk tho...

"has to" is a bit of an overstatement, since most people bring the bare minimum for supplementary perks in the build (iron will) almost every game giving up only 1 perk slot for its strong effect, the only time it takes up full builds and whole perk layouts is when you want to near guarantee 2~3 uses of the perk instead of just being satisfied with 1~2 and using the other 2 perk slots for your bt, dh, ds, or unbreakables

I thought it didn't affect his reload time?

The problem is, the meta perks are meta because they’re useful almost every match or because they counter the strongest playstyles for the other side. BT and DS are strong against killers who try to secure a fast kill. All exhaustion perks extend chases which will always be meta. Iron Will is a strong perk that will help in chase and to avoid snowballing in almost every match (except against Plague I guess). Just as examples.
Buffs to more niche perks are great and I hope the devs keep doing them but they’re not the kind of changes that will take a perk from niche to meta, usually.
That said, I think my favourite perk change in DBD history was Kindred’s buff way back when. That WAS a change that did actually take a formerly underused perk into the meta.

Lucky Break, Small Game for survivor.
No Way Out for killer.
