the chat filter in DBD is legit f*cking awful, one of the worst i've ever seen but still not worse then RB6 siege's chat filter at launch because at least this one doesnt ban you when you trigger it.

I mean, I think I figured out how the filter works, as a lot of words arent filtered unless they are used in a certain context. Which basically means the AI that is filtering words isnt properly developed yet, and needs a lot more examples as it starts taking more and more words that are in the right context and just filters them.
I've seen "was" be filtered in one sentence, and 2 sentences later it was not filtered.

my favorite is that hawkins is banned in the end game chat, the name of the map...and you cant say kill in a game where killers shove chainsaws repeatedly into the survivors body in a mori.

"You" only gets censored if it's next to some other word that triggers the blacklist. I can't tell if people are willfully lying about these things, or if it literally didn't occur to them to just type the word by itself after seeing it get censored in a sentence.
