Why are huntress's hatchets circles
It doesn't make sense i can vault a window and some how get hit threw the window all because her hatchets are circular it doesn't make sense.

yes it does. its swirling in a circular motion goes through the window and hits you
8 -
Because if they dare touch Huntress she won't hit anything, as it happened once.

I think Huntress watched that movie Wanted and learned to curve her hatchets.
1 -
Swirling in a circular direction on one axis isn't a reason for it to be a beachball.
Iirc they tried to make it an accurate hatchet box then but for some reason they've never tried a very squished cylinder. Not publicly anyway
2 -
they also hit through wall and around corners (no joke)
this game is buggy af and killer sided ( if u think otherwise check the stats)
been like that for years prob never changes
sry pal

Sorry, you're complaining that a projectile attack... went over the window with you?
Huntress' latency problems are something to complain about, but that is an intended feature. Every projectile in the game can hit you when they vault the window. How is this even an argument?
8 -
Probably because, if they try to do that, something else will break.

They once adjusted the hitboxes to match the hatchet's model, but it suddenly became a lot harder to hit their shots so all the Huntress mains complained and it got reverted.
1 -
the hitboxes are not circular
as a matter of fact, they are actually like this

The primary problem with Huntress hatches is the server lag rather than the hitboxes. DbD needs more/better servers.

Huntress problems is just BHVR being Cheap with servers. Same with Stalking on Myers and Ghostface and GF's Reveal Mechanic.
2 -
But now they have slinger and trickster to compare hitboxes with

You could use that argument for every single company in the world, except BVHR.

Whats stupid is that they didnt even bothered, they tried once and gave up
1 -
Because the result was atrocious. Huntress literally couldn't hit a thing when they tried.
1 -
Why not? They literally work fine for those two barring usual latency issues.
Huntress' code is probably outdated so I'm guessing that's why but that really shouldn't stop them

It's actually spinning in all directions forming the perfect beachball, what you see is just an illusion such motion creates.

So when the hatchet spins like this and most if not all similar weapons irl spin like this (such as a tomohawk), less risk throwing wrong and seriously miss target, it actually does spin a full 360° while staying perfectly on target?
Now, I'd suggest trying some weapon throwing out because not only is it quite fun but you can also see that if you threw a weapon such that it were to spin 360° in the air, it would also never be able to consistently hit a target directly in front of it like the hatchets do.
There is, therefore, absolutely no reason for the hatchet to have a beachball shaped hitbox when a very squashed cylinder works perfectly.

Just keep practicing and eventually you too will be able to pull off the every axis 1 direction trickshot.
4 -
Again, they tried ONCE, instead of fixing it, they simply gave up.

Huntress be doin' shot put with her sphere-shaped hatchets.
Yeah that wasn't funny I know, I just needed an excuse to put something here.

The only thing that makes me not mind the huntress hitbox witchcraft so much is against high level survivors they are generally unphased by the pressense of her and juke a good 50% of the shots, it doesn't make it less bullshit but once you're used to facing her enough there's a decent enough level of counterplay.
Nothing I just said though helps the average solo q hero.

Well,Trickster and Deathslinger have completely different wind up and projectile speed.
I feel like Huntress hitboxes are okay for the most part. It's latency and desync that's causing those "interesting" hits.

I still don't see why they have to be so big. Huntress is supposed to reward precision

"gen speeds, rng can be balanced, more survivor sided maps, almost all killers have counters"
none of what u said is true bru
1.2k hours and always red ranks (look at the god damn stats before you talk)
also i play solo only
loops been nerfed alot just like maps and gen placing
gen speeds been nerfed aswell
YOU DONT KNOW THE KILLER BEFORE THE GAME STARTS SO HOW WOULD I COUNTER IT IF I DONT KNOW WHAT KILLER I AM FACING
go try to get red ranks as solo survivor
0 -
They tried to make it a rectangle but the hit boxes between the surivor and hatchet were so jank that it would go straight through you 90% of the time so they reverted it
and changing the surivors hurt box would make every killer get hits they shouldn't
0 -
did you check the stats before you wasted an 1h on that essay? even the ones from 2 years ago say its killer sided, also the higher the rank the worse it gets and imagine playing solo surv only
also i dont play killer because it is just way too easy and boring (just doing the daily missions)
0 -
Lmao, Imagine not being able to spin axes 360° degrees in all direction at the same time in real life.
You just have to practise more.
1 -
It's both. Regardless of latency, you can be struck through a solid obstacle due to the excessive hitbox.

Bruh the red ranks stats are worse than the low ranks stats
