I’m getting fed up of the disparity in counterplay 🤬🤬🤬
Killers lately: power requires unforgiving precision.
Survivor: just run erratically. I.e. requires NO SKILL WHATSOEVER.

I agree, but I hope you’re ready for the replies. This is going to piss some people off.
13 -
Yet survivors complain about killers like Blight and Wraith that can counter holding W lol.
8 -
Yeah, I've noticed that two. Killers like Blight, Twins, Demogorgon, Nemesis, and Pyramid head have special abilities to let them get hits, but those hits dont work because someone turned left.
11 -
People are complaining about blight ? Why?
all you have to do is press A or D
4 -
Yes I’ve heard people complain about Blight. It’s survivor entitlement.
3 -
So may i ask what sort of counterplay do you want from the survivors when going against these killers, other then "moving erratically"
Also how does it take no skill?
4 -
Most abilities that require precision literally make survivors run into you if you just threaten to use it so I don't think it's that bad...

wrong post

It's really just about who you decide to play as a killer, and using a killer that boosts your own strengths. I 100% agree with you, Getting to the intermediate/higher levels of survivor is a lot easier than it is killer. This coming from someone who's already hit survivor rank 1 a few times with only about 600 hours on the game, but only getting to the highest rank of 4 on killer. This kind of skill gap IS to be expected though and should be a part of the game, for the exact reason that of the 100% of players that are on Dead by Daylight at any given time only about 20% of them are killers (ideally).

Then don't play these killers? We have tons of killers who don't need mechanical skill or precise timing. Legion, Freddy, Myers, Ghostface, Trapper, Hag and Wraith are some that come to mind.
3 -
So first the problem was holding W, and now it’s pressing A and D. How about survivors just keep their hands away from their keyboard.
8 -
That's not true, sir. I have to get at least 2 drinks into me before I can run that erratically.
1 -
ARRRRGH I HATE IT WHEN SURVIVORS USE WASD
THEY SHOULD HAVE TO MAKE A SKILLCHECK TO MOVE LEFT OR RIGHT
10 -
I’m not saying what survivors do needs to change. What needs to change is how unforgiving a killer not having pin point accuracy is. I’d rather have more generous hurt boxes and longer cooldowns.
7 -
Quality of Life Change: Survivors can now only move by moonwalking.
4 -
It takes no skills? Ah yes that explains a lot we gotta make sure survivors can't move before second hook nerf pls
1 -
Have you tried playing survivor yourself and dodging all of this? It requires 1000+ hours to dodge every hatchet and every PH's strike of a competent killer. Nice bait though.
1 -
Perhaps know who you’re talking to before asking such a condescending question.

They asked simple question only one acting like a child rn is you, they asked you if u played survivor politely but u seem to respond to every question with anger which would explain those mad emojis and this bs statement lmao
9 -
Politely? Not really, they assumed OP had less than 1k hours and called their post bait.
6 -
They didn't assumed they said it takes around that to get to that level and about bait I agree with that both roles takes skills if it doesn't we wouldn't have this game balanced or kill rates higher than escape one so obviously if it takes no skill survs get free escape each game right?

Damn, so many Strawmen in this thread I thought I was on a farm.

I agree. Trickster is borderline unplayable on console, nemesis' and deathslinger's hitboxes are so tiny that you can touch a survivor's shoulder but it doesn't count as a hit and while the hitboxes for blight, twins, pyramid head and demogorgon are bigger they suffer from the fact that survivor turning speed is so stupidly fast. This might not be a problem for PC players but it definitely makes it a lot harder to hit survivors if you use a controller
3 -
May i ask what changed your mind? If i remember correctly, you were a flaming defender of "balance is fine".
4 -
It's true. My survivors, who beat me due to out of whack gen speeds btw, don't even really loop. They just hold forward after getting hit, or they do a failed 360 and get downed. Either way, they get out. It's way harder for killer to precisely hit than it is for survivors to go wasdawadsadwadadaaad. And imagine dealing with that as a console killer. Whether you're going for a basic attack or an ability attack, they can just do that and have near-invulnerability because of aim dressing, bad hitboxes, or lag.
1 -
Yes but then you deal with cancel animation time, and the survivor gets the vault or whatever scott free. Or they run in you to where you can't even tell what the heck is happening. Did they go through me, in me, around me? Why can't I hear them when they're 1 millimeter from me?
3 -
Terrible examples for what you were trying to say, mostly because pretty much every killer requires mechanical skill and precise timing. You need to know as Legion if you can make it to the next person with your frenzy, or if you don't have time to get to them. You need to place snares immediately as Freddy so you don't get slowed down. You need to tap stalk in just the right way at just the right position, or the survivor gets to the pallet/window and you waste half your lvl 3 trying to get them. Hag needs to tp immediately to her traps. And that's not even talking about regular chases which, it goes without saying, require precision and mechanical skill.
1 -
I have to agree with this. Take Victors cooldown for example. He comes back nigh instantly. Kicking him hardly buys survivors any time and yet, landing him on people can be surprisingly difficult or next to impossible on certain maps with invisible slopes (I'm lookin at you backwater nasty swamp).
4 -
No compromise. More generous hurt boxes. Period.
1 -
That's what I hate about killers like Twins. Their payoff is so high when they're played optimally, but the game won't allow that because of BS hitboxes and poor fov.

After you play long enough survivors getting too close to you or "spinning" you becomes a lot less effective, you literally just have to flick to the side and you'll hit them 99% of the time without even thinking about doing it, if that seems impossible to you your sensitivity maybe too low.

OP is bothered by killers that can be dodged by survivors moving "erratically". I gave examples of killers who don't need to deal with that. The knowledge you need to play those killers is more focused on pathing and strategy than actual mechanical skill.

Sounds like someone got 360-spun a few times, eh?
Killer skill and survivor skill are 2 completely different things.
1 -
When will devs nerf *squints at page* using movement controls to win?
0 -
The point is, every survivor has the basic tools with which to counter every single killer in the game. You avoid or dodge their attacks. Yet survivors still complain that there's "no counters" to X killer and that they need to have invincibility via DH or DS or BT to stand a chance.
0 -
I mean, survivors don't really have any unique abilities most of the time outside of just...running. What else are they gonna do? I agree that killer powers should become less precise and punishing but you can't really complain about survivors using their singular only ability to fight back
1 -
You are clearly talking about the "Nerf Spirit" conversations, which was totally fair imo. Every other killer has a counterplay. Besides, Spirit got some sort of nerf in the last patch so the devs clearly agreed.
What other killers is " every survivor" complaining about?
0 -
Get good at the game! 🤷♂️ I've ran into quite a few killers that are dominating constantly! I'm terrible at killer but I don't complain because I know that I can get better! I think killer mains are mad because they don't completely dominate every match like they did in the beginning! The fact is, 4 should beat 1 most of the time! 🤷♂️

As far as i can tell your a nobody trying to sound cool. Git gud ya bot

This is what's been pissing me off about the game for the past year.
Killer: Skill, stress, and not fun
Survuvor: So easy a caveman can do it.
1 -
It's 95-100 I'm pretty sure.
0 -
Spirit does have counterplay. Everybody is quick to say that Spirit is the problem. Even as of patch 5.1.0 people are still complaining and DCing against her, even though she's practically Hellen Keller with a sword.
Spirit isn't the problem. Survivors are because survivors refuse to change they're playstyle.
1 -
We're complaining about survivors being able to dodge a power now? Ok, cool.
0 -
This is heavily debatable but I agree
My best example is trickster you dont see surivors having to manage recoil on a moving target while having to take in consideration distance for you to hit them
0 -
Eh not exactly it's more of getting out of range of a hit so trying to bait him so he swings the wrong way
Or you could do the easy option turn around and press e and hope the blight makes the mistake of swinging at you
0 -
Well perks are their special abilities in a sense but they can be used almost unconditionally
You dont see killers with perks that drastically change how killers play and the few that do are hexs with conditions to be achieved to be useful
0 -
Yeah, because spirit, wraith and cannibal are soooo hard to play.
0 -
cannibal is so easy from my experience. I only struggle a little on indoor maps.
0 -
Yeah, this post is just toxic as hell. There are a solid amount of killers, add ons, etc that make the game trivial against solo survivors. The people who liked this utter garbage of a forum post should be ashamed, it’s literally just saying survivors bad.
