TR & Lullabies; hypocritical existence?
What exactly is the purpose of attaching the lullaby to a killer with a small terror radius?
In these instances would it not be the exact same if you just switched the terror radius for the lullaby keeping it the same range as a normal TR?
What benefits do the killers gain from the smaller terror radius when in fact the lullaby gives survivors a longer range of detection?
If lullabies exist to prevent a feel of oppressiveness from these killers with a small TR, why give them the reduced TR to begin with?
Personally I'm all for Killers with a small tear radius and I do find the lullaby to be an interesting mechanic. My thoughts here are while the two aspects work well, I don't think that they work well together. I often find that the two counter one another in regards to load out functionality. Each individually create an interesting aspect to a killer but I fail to see why the combination of the two work together better than separate.
Wanna throw this out to the community and see what thoughts everyone else has on it.
Which killer do you think works best with this combination?
Which killer do you think would benefit most from a rework to only one?
What benefits do killers gain from having a lullaby?

Lullabies are non-directional. Huntress has a 45m lullaby but when you're inside it you can't tell if she's 45m from you or just 21.
Trickster is a weird case. Imo he shouldn't have a lullaby, but the one that he has is super subtle. When I'm playing survivor I've been caught by surprise several times because his TR is super confusing.

Lullabies are directional and tr is not

Lullabies haven't been directional for awhile pretty sure it was a bit after the Freddy rework

Also, to add on to the conversation, Lullabies can't be shrunken by any perk or add-on. That way you don't have a Huntress with an Iridescent Head right on top of you and you never even noticed because she was undetectable.

What? The TR changes depending on how far the killer is from you. The lullaby does not.

That is not what I ment the tr will get louder as the get closer but its coming from everywhere, the lullaby stays at the same level of sound but if you rotate your camera it is louder the direction she is in

It used to be like that a long time ago. It isn't anymore.

What does trickster's sound like

It's kind of like an ambient sound, it's pretty noticeable and if you play against a Trickster the next time, you'll definitely hear it for sure.
Here's what it sounds like though:

I personally find it very subtle and hard to notice with his TR. Especially if you're on a gen.

Because Huntress's Lullaby & TR music are difference. Trickster's one are like in the same song. His Lull & TR merged together well, you cant distinguish between them.

There only two killers with a lullaby and a terror radius at the same time, excluding Freddy since his is more separate and ties to the current state of the survivor instead of being constant. Both are ranged killers that effectively have infinite range to injure survivors (despite the fact that one does it way better than another). The lullaby is meant to prevent said killers with inherently oppressive powers from being too powerful when without a terror radius (ie. Completely undetectable) and, in the eye of the devs, “unfair” for survivors.
However, I am not sure about the small terror radius, likely to compensate for the lack of true stealth the lullaby gives. The lullaby is not truly there to help the killer.

Really I left for about 2 yrs and it was and the times I played against her I was wearing my headphones

Fair enough, limiting them from being fully undetectable especially with the new perk we recently received.
Though if it's just the ranged aspect that is the cause for this, wouldn't it work just as well to give them a lullaby in place of the tr? My thoughts are its still giving Survivors notice of the killer's presence without announcing distance or direction, as example Freddy seems to show that the functionality of that gameplay works given it places more emphasis on your visual awareness if not perks.
Also makes me wonder if we will receive a future killer which forgoes the use of tr perks for that element of misdirection.

Freddy is example why those killers and any similar should keep their terror radius. For one, this already limits the possible perks for the killer besides the already less effective undetectable and similar terror radius altering perks. While, it also, surprisingly, adds more stealth to the killer.
A lullaby removes the possibility of the killer sneaking up without you knowing they are nearby, however, it’s unique of be without any indication of how close they are. Which becomes stronger with a larger lullaby, like with huntress.
Freddy’s dream world lullaby, while seeming detrimental, makes survivors stand on edge and worry where could Freddy be exactly. Its strength is the terror of knowing just enough to be anxious without know everything to feel secure. It’s similar to the feeling of being watched: you don’t know who or from where, leading to you feeling anxious and afraid which can leading you to question your surroundings and make mistakes.
A lullaby without a terror radius, instills terror, while a terror radius without a lullaby while being more accurate is inconsistent and can be circumvented. Thus, they need both.

Lullabies are just creepy at least most of the time

Huntress absolutely needed something for balancing purposes. Survivors needed to have SOMETHING that tells them to be on their guard because in theory Huntress can hurt survivors from (almost) anywhere on many maps.
