Started playing last year.
Was fun, even got me back into writing and helped me start working on my own game. But as it's more than likely friggin' fnaf coming now, all I can say.

It’s not spring trap. This has happened many times. All these clues to a certain thing because one person gave it light that it’s “this” killer and everyone follows. Then the killer is revealed and it’s nothing anyone expected.

On a serious note, nah. Not me. I really don't care all that much either way. Then again, since we're not sure whether it'll be FNAF or not, might as well wait with the attention grabbing theatrics until we're sure.

By all means do what you think is best but I struggle to understand this sentiment, I am too old for FNAF I can't stand it and everything it represents to horror, however, as long as the killer is fun then I couldn't careless if we get a animatronic added to the game, it will make a bunch of people happy and DBD will still be DBD.
The more variety in killers the more fun is added to the game, hell even a FNAF themed map wouldn't exactly look any different then any of the other maps we have.
If it's a point of lore well I'm pretty sure the multidimensional space demon that can summon people from any time/reality is also capable of creating beings from fiction.

Saw Spiral. Figure they gave survivors (well Meg) free Saw cosmetic but killers didn't get one. Makes sense to be a code with all the Spiral promo they've done.

I sincerely hope they add Springtrap, not because I think would be a great addition to the game, but more so because it will make people leave who hate on the character because they don't personally like the FNAF games. Cya pal :)

I get fnaf is not everyone's cup of tea, but if you love dbd it would be a shame to give it up just for a dumb chapter. I'm not a Candyman fan but if he came to DBD I would just not buy the chapter and play the characters that I love ^^
If it causes you distress though then you gotta do what is best for you.

i'm the 'once bitten twice shy' type of person, and with few, very few exceptions I have only bad experience with the fnaf fans. I like dbd, but I genuinely fear what a fnaf chapter will bring

I think that you basing wether or not you will enjoy the game on other people getting what they want is kind of dumb, whats one chapter? on a side note. All this fnaf hate is really hyperbolic and unnecessary. I'm an old school horror game fan and dove a bit into playing fnaf but after that kept up with lore bits. and its a well established and thought out franchise with a unique take on gaming and horror. Its just adds variety to whats out there and theres nothing wrong with that. I have also got into game development :D

Honestly I think fnaf fans will play for a month tops and drop the game ^^" I love this community, it is passionate, creative, and skilled... but this game isn't for everyone. Its takes a tough cookie to play DBD... and an extra tough stubborn cookie to play killer ^^
Between the salty players, the troll players, and the bugs in this game I doubt any fnaf players would be able to handle it and they will bail before you know it.
I am not saying I don't want new blood in this game!!!! I do! But I doubt every fnaf fan will flood here, and then the ones that do because 'omg Springtrap' are in for a very rude awakening... I love playing killer but damn it is not easy ^^"
They will figure that out soon enough and then move on like a bunch of people tend to do.
I get being a pessimist, but as an optimist I am here to help balance the mood my dude!

FNAF will not be the death of DBD. Face it, next to Silent Hill and Resident Evil its one of the biggest horror game franchises out there. I'm not a fan but if DBD is the 'Hall of Fame of Horror' then it would be fitting for FNAF into enter the Entity's realm
That being said Pinhead wouldn't be a bad pick either, and hopefully Candyman will enter the fray soon.
