Maybe I was wrong about MMR...
First game of MMR and I get a killer who hard tunnels and slugs for the 4K during a 3v1.
On Shelter Woods.

I never wanted it in the first place probably because it's never worked this game or the next

sounds like normal dbd to me.

Yeah, had a Pyramid Head with Ruin+Undying and Pop that proxy camped and hardcore tunneled the entire match.
That was fun :>
MMR is quite the mixed bag for me and my friends.
Either we destroy the killer or we get destroyed. There weren't a lot of matches so far that felt really balanced.

First game of MMR as a survivor:
Getting farmed to death off of hook by an immersed Quinton who then did it another teammate. Farming half the team to death.
Yep they reset the MMR again and it needs time to re-calibrate.

For some reason MMR is making everyone an @$$hole on both sides.

well, MMR essentially takes this casual party game and tries to make it into a competetive one.
and given how DbD works, forcing it to be competetive makes both sides act like that - killer more than survivor though.

My first round of matches have been pretty decent *knocks on wood*. Didn't notice any big difference as Survivor. As killer, I definitely got easier matches playing killers I'm not good at as opposed to the one I play best.

2nd game Wraith camps every hook.
Am I just being matched with low rank baddies? I can't tell.

Get rid of MMR. Stop investing time In MMR. It is trash. This game Is not a game you can have a good MMR. It's making everyone unhappy. Please, for the love of all that is holy, stop this.

SBMM is a system that only really works well in competitive games like overwatch or games that have multiple game modes, also like overwatch. It can also work if it is a loose system like what COD does for Warzone, but this system will falter a lot of the time, which is very similar to the ranked system that DBD currently uses.
Therefore, the game is going to either have a loose system that does nothing more then their old system or a more strict one that will place you in lobbies based on how you usually play/perform (i.e. if you usually bring meta perks then you will go against meta perks or higher skill individuals on the other side; if you usually bring fun perks and mess around you will likely get individuals on the other side that do the same or who are generally lower skill).

MMR is actually being quite good for me. Most of my survivor matches have been pretty balanced and ending in a 2k. Had exactly only one where everybody died and one where everybody escaped. Everything else ranged from 1~3k.
One thing I have noticed is that almost EVERY killer is running Ruin, which is kind of odd. The ones that don't run Corrupt/Pop.
Will try killer later.

It makes the more skilled player base competitive for sure. Now some people enjoy to sweat every game, but plenty of people don't enjoy it.

People are playing the best that they can while MMR is up trying to see what they can achieve with it. Like normally I'll play fairly casually as killer but during the test I've been using powerful add-ons and been pretty ruthless. (Still give hatch though) Not to be an ass but to see if I can push my MMR up and get really really solid teams.

This is what the Developers want. They want this game to be Esports Competitive gameplay and its funny because when people kept saying this was gonna happen we kept getting told we're just crying and we don't know what we're talking about funny how a lot of people are waking up to how bad this is in Dead by Daylight.

I hate this system. August 16th can’t come fast enough.

When I was playing survivor this morning I was getting mostly good teammates. Better than usually. Queue times were fast. The killers were a bit of a mix bag, some good, some bad.
Now that I'm playing this evening, with slow queue times, I am guessing the range is widening to reduce my queue time. I am getting very bad teammates. One game we were in endgame and the Myers camping their basement hook. I ran down and rescued the survivor and I had borrowed time. They ran around in the basement trying to avoid the killer instead of running up the stairs. I asked them in end game chat why they didn't run up and tank the hit with BT and they said they didn't know what BT really did. They said they didn't have very many hours playing. I have over 2000. The killers have mostly not been the same skill as me either.

First rounds as killer: No variety in survivor builds, predropping pallets and taking protection hits (and interrupting STBFL), semi decent items and addons.
First rounds as survivor: No variety in survivor builds, quite co-ordinated gen splits, people not gong instantly down and actually bringing items for a change. Few chases because either gens are done so quickly or the killer never leaves their hook.
My survivor games have drastically improved but there is no chill in my killer games. Unless I feel like playing a strong killer like Spirit I'll be skipping killer for a few days.
