literally disconnects me while in a match and still gives me the points LMFAO. (PS. My internet connection is fine and this ######### happens in DBD only, on other games like CS:GO or Rocket League i have no problems. It's just DBD for some reason) Now i have a 15 min ban. Disable the DC penalty till you fix the problem ffs, im trying to get the tome 2 challenges done. I've seen a lot of players who encounter this problem, they penalize me and other players over time as if I disconnected on purpose.

It sounds like a very limited issue, you're basically the only person I've heard of that's had that happen.
You can't disable something just because 1 or 2 people are having an issue.
Not to mention how DC penalties prevent DBD players from acting like literal children who quit if they don't like the smallest thing.

This was the 3rd time today. First i got a 5 min ban. I checked my connection, restarted my network. Then after few HOURS AGAIN. WHILE. OPENING. THE. EXIT. GATE. This outrages me because i was so CLOSE to escape with Jake so i can get my challenge done. Then i stopped playing for few hours, i got it AGAIN. Now i tried playing another match and got dropped again. TY for the 15 MIN ban. So pretty often i can say

Your convenience isn't worth bringing us back to that state. The game was unplayable as survivor when there was no DC penalty. Someone would DC almost every single game and force a loss for the other survivors. Killers were even worse, they would just end the game when their totem popped.

Nothing is worse than Dead By Daylight without a DC penalty, it is simply an unplayable game.

What this person is suggesting is to gimp everyone's ability to play the game for their own sake, they're being an #########.
This game was agonizing a couple months ago when there was no penalty, the number of games I had with no rage-quitters were the minority. Nothing is worth going back to that.

Not that limited, I got one too. I played a whole game out and died just to get a STEAM DC. So on top of getting no points I got the DC penalty to boot.
Yes how dare people want to not be punished and get credit for their gameplay.

I feel like there's an opportunity to compromise here. Rather than removing the DC penalty entirely, why not put a cap on the maximum DC penalty of 15 minutes. That's enough time to discourage people from leaving without getting into day long bans by those of us that running into this bug.

There are a lot of people that post about this in the technical section. The mod there has actually stated BHVR is aware of the issue and looking into it. It has been going on for a while now.

You crash
You wait 5 minutes watching a youtube video
You re-enter the game
The game without a DC penalty:
You're playing a game with 3 survivors at 5 gens
You crash
You get back on immediately
You get another game, this time 2 survivors quit because it was Doc
You get another game, this time the killer quit at 1 minute
You get another game, this time the first survivor downed quits

If I don't restart DBD every 3-5 matches i am likely to get this error. Have had to do this for years now. Stream stays up, party chat fine, but booted out of the game and penalty. So it is more than 1-2 people. I'd rather a fix than droping the penalties though.

@Kinguin22 Don't ask help on this forum, it isn't the good place to do it.
The Devs will never give explanation about the crashes and they are the ones to know something about it. I couldn't join any lobby during 1 year and the problem will solve by itself.

Sorry, but just because you didn't encounter this issue, it doesn't mean only 2 people have it. I personally couldn't play DBD at all this spring, every 3 or 4 games I would get this pop-up, saying I have no network connection, with the only thing that can be done is pressing ok, so basically the game says "you HAVE TO press ok now, which will kick you out of the game that you are currently winning, give you a penalty, waste your item, addons, and offering".
This only happened once during the summer for me, but as I can see, there are a lot of people still have this issue. And if you don't believe, I recall seeing a few big streamers encounter this too, with the one that comes the closest to mind being Scott, on Red Forest.

That bug has been in the game for years pretty sure I remember getting no network connection when like ghostface was added
