de pip and dc
This has been discussed on many platforms, but lets try it again.
First of all, we can al agree that DBD is on of the best games out there, but also one of the most toxic...
80% of the matches i get as solo survivor is against the worst toxic killers who go for the 4k before you can even do anything. Dont wanne get in a discussion on to get better or learn how to loop, cause that stuff doesnt fly for these games.
but it is what it is, games like these wont go away and that makes me dc if its real bad...or first hook goodbye. Its clear from the start of a game that all survivors die fast and leave with hardly any BP and we all get a de-pip.
And this is the part that gets under your skin...working so hard to rank up, playing the game how you should, and then you get a streak of killers who take all your progress away.
So DEFS, just fix this, dont de-pip survivors who tried there best, just leave the rank where it was.
If that was the case i would have less problems with games like these...if you just wanne go for your world record 4k...fine with me if it doesnt de-rank me.
As an example that i got 2 days ago...a nurse in the meatplant...2 survivors dc within the first 2 min.. then i heard the blink and run for 2 meters to get struck down....the other player came to heal me but got killed to, the nurse was doing some cool ass victory dance and put us on the hook??? by purple rank.....yeah fun game it was....and thats just one of the many.

So you are upset that losing to a killer who prevented you from being able to fill your emblems is causing you depip... That's literally how a ranking system is suppose to work.
Yes it does suck when your teammates and d/c and you depip for factors you can't really control. But if you are good at the game, you'll find yourself pipping upwards more often than you depip. So it won't matter in the long term.

So now its a killers job to prevent a survivor from filling emblems? I thought it was his job to kill them all so they cant leave.
like all surviors tell the killers, loosing is not the problem, getting killed is fine, but atleast make us fight for it, and respect the fact that we all just wanne play a good or fun game.

The killers are not responsible for making sure survivors get enough emblems so they don't depip.
The killer has also emblem rewards that directly counter the survivor emblems.
Killers gets more gatekeeper for preventing gens from getting done and the exit gates from opening. Survivors get lightbringer for doing gens and opening the exit gates.
Killers get better chaser for ending chases quickly. Survivors get better evader for prolonging chases.
Killer gets rewarded for hooking all survivors at least once, survivors get rewarded if they escape without being put into dying state.

Not the discussion i want to get in to, a game should atleast be fun for all players involved. That is the deffinition of a game. If your goal as a killer is to take away all ways to earn bloodpoint for other players, so you get some more. hmmmmm.....and what your claiming is not all true.....i had cool killers who kinda helped all surviors and even let them all go.....bloodpoints we all get is higher then i see in those short games.
we all pip up and we all have fun.
not that i want all the games to be like that..
but like i said...not going further in that discussion, this kind of BEhavior is allready discussed enough, killers who defend it and survivors who complain....not gonna end.

It's a pvp game. Killers and survivors are fighting against each other. Both sides are generally not playing in a way to make sure the otherside has fun and it's wrong to make it your opponent's responsibility that you have fun.

please, i'm not intrested in a discussion on who thinks is right about playing games and having a blast or not.
I'm starting a discussion that could counter a lot of dc's or early death's on the first hook.
no hurt in keeping the player in the rank he is currently in, if you do good you move higher, if not you stay the same......you made it there in the first place so you did something right....and not to talk about the matchmaking when you are set up against a red rank level 1 killer when your whole team is green.

If the game could be somehow re-balanced to adjust its points distribution to match the condition (4v1, 3v1, etc) the problem with de-pipping due to DCs could be partially fixed. But disconnections are the base problem still, and it needs to be solved.

Have you ever played a ranked game where losing didn't make you drop in rank?
The point of any ranking system is to get you to play against people of equal skill. If you lose over a prolonged period of time, it's because your skill doesn't measure up. If you lose a few times, you'll get your rank back. This isn't a problem.

As long as I don't depip when the 2 red rank swf come into my match and run me because there way out of my skill level. Its so much fun as a green rank killer to get blown out the water by people who have spent way more time than me that I shouldn't be facing btw they don't anything to make it fun for me they tunnel the same gen even know I kicked it

yes DBD is that game.....died many times at the end, but got to do gens, totums, chases.....and ranked up.....and i'm not talking about good killers who get every survivor on the hook 3 times in a row....i'm talking about games like that nurse and thats just an example of many, many many games you can get in a row. There is absolute nothing you AND other players can do to counter some games. If i had a nickle for every game i played where 4 survivors bled out on the floor with in the first 3 min of the game i would be richer then Bezos.....There are tons of posts like what i descripe on every platform so its nothing new. The fact that you just have to except it and get de-pipped in the end is what starts a bad vibe on the other games your gonna play. But maybe one of you could tell me what the harm is in staying in your rank instead of de-ranking....cause there is no hurt to anyone....everybody happy in the end.

Your right in wat your saying, but it seems we all forget that we all just looking for some fun in life. If your a good skilled killer and see that your not facing a swf team and can easily catch all survivors, then why not play them a litlle have some fun with them or make them work hard for it....a good killer dictates the game. and could end it when he or she wants. No need to end it when in the prosces people dc or just quit playing. If you only play like your really playing a tournament for life or dead....come on, allready enough ######### going on in the world, no need to end your game with knowing that you made the day of 4 other players worse. We all know there is toxic gameplay, and thats not gonna change, i'm fine with that, as long as i dont get punished for it.
And i dont totally agree with your killer playing his rol correctly and efficiently.....your playing a game with other players, that your good and show your skills is fine....but the how is what mathers, there is a difference between a game where gens pop faster then the speed of light and the games where i'm in...putting on map pressure is not whiping out a team without a gen being done.

Well, hopefully the SBMMR will benefit you. Personally I don’t want it and I don’t have faith in it, but if I’m wrong- it’s purpose is to help alleviate the nuances of leveling up, that irks you.

So when you’re having a good match against a killer who’s struggling, you let them down you quickly? Stop repairing gens? Let them hook you? Or is this just a one way thing?
the entitlement you have from your posts in here - that you expect every killer to act the same, to let you gain BP, to finish objectives, etc, just won’t happen. You can die in a game and still gain pips. You just have to play smart. I’m guessing you haven’t been playing all that long or you’d have a little more understanding and not be so tunnel vision.
yes, some games do suck, we’ve all had plenty of them where survivors DC, die on first hook, or the killer is so sweaty they slug at 5 gens… etc etc. And when it’s 3/4 games in a row, it gets disheartening. If you’re really having that much of an issue or finding it that miserable, start playing killer. I think that would actually give you some perspective, especially once you rank up and see the majority of games aren’t nice and survivors do not want to let you gain pips 😉
perhaps take on board what others are saying rather than having your opinion and being so stubborn. It’ll just create more frustration on your end and further destroy any enjoyment you get from the game. Once you accept there are gonna be crappy matches, but can move on, you’ll find the game more enjoyable. Focus on the positives rather than the negatives… and if you can’t, maybe move on to something else 🤷♀️
