Will the devs ever consider buffing Trapper?
Seriously, he’s the face of the game and needs a lot of love. At the very least they can give him trapper bag base kit. Is it really that hard for the devs to do? They know he’s outdated so what’s taking so long?

Sorry for being off topic but you changed your avatar to the Supreme One?!?!

After getting that out of my system.......They better have considered buffing Trapper! It's one of the few reasons I'm hanging on to this game. He's the most fun to play for me, I just wish matches were a little more fair with him.
I hope it's a decent buff of giving him 3 traps and faster setting speed as well as faster trap pick up speed.

Umm ok yeah. About that…
…yeah…I agree. Those can be very good buffs to him.

Did the new hair cosmetic lure you to a new waifu?
As for Trapper, he needs a buff, but they can't do too much since he has the potential to become overly oppressive and worse than Bubba when it comes to camping. Removing the bag add-ons and making Purple Bag base kit while introducing new add-ons that will add a risk to disarming traps (other than hurting them since we have Bloody Coil), would be nice. Maybe make someone who disarms a trap reveal their location for 15 seconds or Trapper gains Undetectable for 30 seconds when they do it. Something to spice up the match and not boring like, here you go, an extra trap!

In my opinion, here's what he needs:
-2 trap capacity, starts with 1. Giving him all his traps base could lead to him being able to lock down an area much too easily, and be absolutely miserable to go against.
-Traps spawn closer to the center of the map. No traps spawning in corners.
-Injured survivors caught in a trap get Deep Wounds when freed by another survivor, and downed if they free themselves.
-Thicker grass.
I maintain that the reworked maps' grass was a colossal nerf for Trapper, because of how short and light it is. If it were made darker, or the blades of grass themselves were made taller and traps weren't as blindingly obvious when hidden in grass, I think he'd be a lot better to play.

Being a great camper isn't a viable strategy and I don't think they should factor that in when balancing
Most every camper loses the game, provided the teammates have any game sense.

That’s a good buff. I like the deep wound status effect as it can create more slowdown.

It depends on the situation and your opponents. If they're an altruistic swf, camping can be the best choice, especially if he gets one in the basement. Camping should definitely be factored into a killers balance since most people hate facing it. The Devs need to consider the fun for both sides when designing killer powers and if they can reduce the chance in which camping would be utilized, without making the killer weak and boring to play, they should.

Ok, I’ll confess. I started playing as her a lot again lately and honestly kind of had the Yui effect I had when I started playing her a lot but on Claudette. I read her lore and she relates to me a lot being a laid back human but more outgoing on forums and things like that. I got her P3 level 50 now and I’m really starting to love her now.
You’ve convinced me, you have have been a good influence on me. Yet she has always been special to me anyway because I played her a lot when I was new but I didn’t really recognize it until a few days ago.
Is it bad having six DBD waifus btw? I mean they are just fictional characters so they probably won’t mind lol.

It's probably more work than they'd want to put in, but I think Traps should be tinted to a color similar to whatever the color the maps ground is. So if it's Ormond, the traps would be whitish gray, and if it was The Game, they'd be more concrete gray.

The Trapper has great snowball potential; extra trap capacity without wasting addon slots could be too powerful.
----
That said, let the Trapper start the Trial with extra traps in hand (they spawn in hand instead of on the ground, keeping the total number of traps available throughout the Trial the same). Keep his carry limit at 1 without addons. He can only exceed this limit at the start of the Trial. This lets the Trapper decide when and where to lockdown an area using his extra traps, but only once per match.
(If they decide to take the risk of holding onto all their starting traps until they get a basement hook in the shack, then that's an option.)
Give him an activateable ability to bypass armed traps:
- Tap the secondary power button whille near an armed trap
- The Trapper takes a big step forward and cannot turn his character
- The Trapper will be immune to his own armed traps for a brief duration (think Dead Hard)
- This cannot be used while transporting survivors
- There is no cooldown
Give him a secondary power ability to gather unarmed traps from afar:
- Hold the secondary power button to summon a crow
- The Trapper's movespeed will be reduced for the duration
- The unarmed trap which is furthest away from the Trapper will be picked up by the crow and removed from the map
- The crow will give this trap back to the Trapper (these two events happen simultaneously; the Trapper does not have to wait for the crow to fly across the map)
- If there are no unarmed traps available, the crow will show the auras of survivors in proximity to any armed trap for a short duration
- This secondary ability has a cooldown

But to stay on topic with the thread, I don’t think he’ll be better at camping personally but I can see him being oppressive on terms of chase. It’s one of the reasons I hate Hag.

No, spread the love! As long as you have a spot for Claudette in your heart, I'm happy. You should really get her new hair cosmetic, heck, is there a way I could gift it to you, I don't mind spending the five bucks for you to bask in her cuteness!
I actually haven't read much of her lore. I think my issue is, for the first time in my life, I've actually started role playing with her, but actually projecting my personality into her when I do and I just got attached to her. I don't know if that makes sense, I don't care either, I love her either way.

I like the thought of the secondary ability but I don’t think it would complement the lore too much. I think Trapper should do something to increase his movement speed when going to get a trap out of his way.

Ok, sorry, after the last post before this, I won't go off topic.

Oh no you don’t have to do that, I’ll probably just buy it. Thanks for the offer though.
But yeah, that is fair. That’s part of the reason Meg was my first special character as I played as her a lot and she became my survivor main for a while. Still pretty much is. I’ve come a long way as now I main Meg, Yui, Claire, and Claudette as survivor. All currently P3 level 50.
