I'm genuinely impressed.
Dbd has always performed pretty badly on console but I'm genuinely impressed with how bad its gotten. I really think killer is unplayable on console currently. Ya know, unless you have a fancy over priced console. The newest update has taken all the issues from the re chapter launch and intensified them.
Almost lost an entire match because someone used dead hard and my game froze so badly I literally couldn't move. Luckily I was nurse so I could blink and save myself. As any other killer I would've been permanently stuck because of the horrendous lag. Never played such a poorly optimized game in my life.

They fixed it, only to break it the very next update.

That's an issue with multiplatform development. As the game evolves, the hardware requirement starts to show in old consoles and PCs. For the former, it is impossible to upgrade. Not sure how to solve this conundrum tho, but eventually they might have to stop supporting some of the platforms tho.

They never fixed it. It was a liiittle bit better with less freezes the previous update.
Now its even worse. Game is lagging for 2-3 seconds sometimes. Hooks, unhooks, sloppy, DH, Lithe, and much more.
Poorly optimized and game breaking bugs for both sides not fixed close to 3 months now.
Completely unacceptable.

I run survivor atm in result to the game freezes, I feel your pain.
I heard if you plug up a ssd through the usb and run the game on that it shouldn't have any lag.

It's not just old gen consoles either. I've quit Console DbD despite having PS5. There's also reports here in the forum of people having issues on the Series X, which supposedly is supposed to be better than the PS5 so it doesn't even matter if bought a PS4 today or a PS5 or an Eggsbogs 1, 1S, Scorpio, Series S or Series X, or Stadia, or Switch which btw get's patches later than everyone LUL.

Itβs the game itself. I switched from PS4 to PC to get away from the godawful optimisation, but now I just get lags, freezes and random frame drops on my PC too. π

well im on pc and for me its unbearable too. i remember 1 year ago this game ran flawlessly for me. Good times.....

RPD makes it look like something I used to play on PS2 every time I get that map πββοΈ
