Trickster is pretty much perfect now
Trickster feels so much better because, in most cases, the knives are finally MORE useful than his M1, which is what I've wanted all along. The evolution from M1 Killer with a useless power to strong anti-loop Killer with lots of power opportunities is complete.
Trickster still has counter play and weaknesses (mainly high wall loops and lack of map pressure). But his strengths are finally pronounced enough to make him viable for experienced players. If he gets many more buffs, he'll turn oppressive pretty quickly so I think he's pretty much perfect where he is on this current patch.

Interesting bait

Now you know good & well he's still trash, especially on console.

I play Trickster at Rank 1 on PC more than any other Killer at this point. No bait, no joke. He's pretty hecking good a lot of the Survivors in my games rage DC

Do you have any clips where you play him with a controller?

Why would anyone dream of playing an aim based Killer on controller? Seems like masochism.
Trickster, Huntress and Deathslinger are all probably unplayable on sub 60 fps on a machine from 2013.

I play him on console with a controller is why. Also those two aren't unplayable as I used to main them, only trickster is terrible with a controller.

That sounds like a console optimization problem not a Trickster problem then if you have the aim to play the other projectile Killer you shouldn't have issues doing well that are skill related. He does have more animation effects and the knives probably take more graphics power to render than the single shots of Huntress or Deathslinger.

Numerically he is worse than initial release so...

Yeah he is decent now, at least for us pc users. He can definitely handle himself vs stronger teams now. But they honestly made him annoying to go up against, especially in maps with low amount of high wall tiles. And this is coming from someone who actually likes playing him. But yep at this point this is as good as he can get without becoming broken, as we saw in the ptb. I guess they could remove his lullaby and increase his terror radius, that could be something that would help him overall.

The problem with Trickster is not performance, he's simply not optimized for controller. The lack of deadzone settings in this game and the recoil make it borderline impossible to keep track of juking survivors.

Watched from 5 minutes on because for some reason. Thats where it started. Every si goes chase the survivors decided to try to run you in a low wall area, and even more in some cases, just out in the open and making no effort to get around a corner. He was always strong in a situation like those.

A killer, that desperately relies on dedicated maps with low walls or massive dead zones, is indeed very nicely designed!

I agree. I haven't had much free time to play consecutively but in the couple matches I've played he feels a lot more balanced. He's still very strong out in the open and it's hard to counter him at low loops but at this point there's not much that can be done to make it any more balanced than he is now. As strong as he is at open areas, he's just as weak in map pressure and gen control. He's very black and white performing but it'll be hard to change that unless his 110% gets bumped up and the knife changes reverted. You're forced to down and hook fast with him or gens are gonna fly. So it's just a race of who can do their objectives more efficiently when playing with him.

As a expert in Trickster, I suggest having better 5 knives to damage a survivor and 50 knives in base kit, The main event will be loaded until the player decides to use it, such as Oni and the bloody fury. To take longer advantage of this benefit, which is now weak because most of it is activated in a moment where you only have one injured survivor and there are no other 2 or 3 in the area. That would be my last buff to the Trickster and I pray it ever happens.

Ya know I actually just tried him again on controller and he seems a little easier to control than after his change, maybe I'm going crazy because their was nothing in the patch notes but he felt more manageable, not great mind you by any stretch though playing on ssd so you don't get the power ready stutter also helps.

He does rely a bit on maps but there's only 3 I can think of that are pretty bad for him — but it's still possible to win on those maps (aside from Red Forest, I've only gotten that map once with him in all the time I've played him and it was miserable so I don't have enough experience with that specific map to say for sure).

To be fair, Nurse and Blight are also quite trash on console compared to other killers. Doesnt mean they are actually trash.

I mean, the only maps that do not have low walls or massive deadzones are quite literally just Coal Tower, Rancid Abattoir and Haddonfield.
That's just 3 maps, one of which will very likely recieve a rework soon anyway, making it only 2 maps. So yeah.

We had an AFK Kate so it was a 3vs1 situation.
And we still escaped, on a killer dominated map.
The Trickster was Rank 2.
He has pretty strong perk build with addons.

Trickster is pretty bad on console due to recoil I really wish they reduced it or flat out removed it

It's almost like Killers need to have weaknesses.
