I hate when someone close the game during the loading...
It's literally the most childishness thing in this game, for example, someone forces a RPD badge to play on the new map, because he likes the visual and actually like the isthetics on it, but, the killer close the game before loading to not play on the chosen map
Had a day, that I wanted to play on Lery's while playing survivor, because, I don't know xD, and the killer simply ALT+F4 and don't even try to play, why map offerings exists while the killer or a survivor don't like that map that was chosen
I think dc penalties should work even the player quits the game while loading

It does, people do that because they would rather take the penalty then deal with Lerys Desync and the mere existence of RPD
8 -
What lerys desync?
1 -
In some of the rooms, the game will desync if you are inside too long, usually the sink tiles. This has been happening since midchapter has released

Oh lord... no comments

It really is a double standard when people talk about survivors DCing because they don't like the killer, but axing the match because they don't like the map offering is A-OK.
12 -
There is a desync issues based on pallets in certain rooms, where the game puts you on the opposite side of the pallet where you're really not.
And yeah, using map offerings as a survivor is often indication of a sweaty team. If I play Huntress and I see an RPD offering, I am going to assume that the survivors have prepared for that map, and Huntress isnt really fun to play on RPD, especially if she's unprepared for that map.
Let alone that if a killer uses a map offering, only 1 survivor map offering is needed to cancel out that map. Let that sink in, that means if survivors bring 3 different map offerings, there is only a 1/4th chance of the offering bringing you to the map you as killer brought in. Considering survivors can bring up to 4 offerings, where a killer can only bring 1, it's kinda survivor sided to be choosing a map offering in the first place. As survivors dont really rely on maps, where some killer builds heavily rely on a specific map(as an example, T1 Myers heavily relies on an inside map due to lack of survivor vision, putting him on Autohaven quite literally makes him unplayable).
So yeah, I can list 100 reasons as to why a killer would close their game during a loading screen to avoid a DC penalty, but the 3 main reasons: 1, the game didnt start yet, 2, if they were to play that game, there was a very high likelihood of absolutely 0 fun on their side to be had and 3 map offerings are not balanced towards the available offering slots.
From the killer's perspective, it's like you were playing football/soccer with them, then broke their leg because you liked the aestethics of a broken leg and be like "why are you quitting?"

To be fair, not liking a killer is entirely different, as killers are at best annoying but are otherwise just part of the experience. Where certain maps can literally make or break the game for certain killers.
Huntress seeing a Haddonfield or RPD offering means she gets a 1k if she facecamps the first person she downs close to the basement, if she wants to play "fair", she would have 0 chance on a 4k.
Where, if its a Bubba, even if you do not like him, most maps do offer counterplays and the most commonly used perks help counter him quite well. You're fully in control on how many survivors can make it out the exit. Even if the Bubba facecamps, a 4 man escape is possible, and a 3 man escape is practically guaranteed.
There is a difference between having a very high likelihood of getting any kills at all purely because of mapdesign not allowing you to use your abilities properly, and a killer you simply dont encounter often enough to learn to counterplay.
So really, how is it a double standard? One literally reduces your chances of winning by merely existing, the other is a matter of taste.

I had a game recently where I was stuck in the loading for probably around 10-15 minutes — no joke. It got to the point where I friended as many people as I could on the other side to talk to them because I didn't know if we were all stuck or not. Come to find out that one of them told me they crashed their game on purpose because they didn't want to play on my map offering. One of the other survivors dced as well after we finally got back to the lobby, probably because they didn't know what was going on either.
I disconnected while loading in a game a couple of days ago because my power went out because of a storm outside so I felt really bad that everyone probably went through the same problem I did 😖

Honestly why do you bring map offering i know you said the reason and all but honestly survivor dont need a map offering to get the advantage.
Even if they put a DC penality for the player who alt+f4 the killer will just go afk in a corner so in a way its better for you to go back in queue like that you dont lose your offering and addon
3 -
I honestly don't care although it is annoying when it gives you a infinite loading screen

That normally shouldnt happen though, worst case scenario, the game should stop loading and kick everyone out once the person who crashed the game on purpose has reconnected to DBD.
That's more a problem with a glitch with the loading screen than the person crashing.
1 -
Yeah normally it would boot us out within 5 minutes. I started getting concerned that maybe the game was going and the survivors loaded in while I was glitched in the loading screen and maybe I appeared as AFK. So I started screen recording after like 10 minutes as proof for a loading glitch. But afterwards a couple of survivors were also really confused about how long it actually took to boot us all out.

doesn't it also make the loading so much longer only to send you back
1 -
Its just like any other DC but what bothers me about it is that game takes several years to load up and close after that for some reason. Really obnoxious
1 -
Yeah I honestly don't think map offerings should be a thing anyways so idc. I'm not gonna support bhvrs horrible map design by allowing myself to be brought to these maps.

I think player dcs in the loading screen cause of different reasons. Both sides expect a difficult match if the other side drops specific offerings and both sides don’t like to deal with them.
survior dcs:
- mori
- lerrys or the game, cause it’s mostly mirror myers, doctor or legion
- black ward
killer dcs:
- haddonfield
- corn maps/ red forest
- reduce hookspawn (and saw toolboxes in the lobby
both sides dcs:
- no bloodpointofferings during the events
- rpd
1 -
Never heard of someone dcing for hookspawns since they changed how saboing works but if there's 4 I could understand it. But yeah I dont see how OP can expect people to play a forced map when they may really hate that map cause lets be honest people rarely use MacMillan bones or azoraths keys unless they are fed up with getting indoor matches.

Maybe don't use map offerings that take you to a obviously bs map. RPD looks fantastic but from a gameplay standpoint it is by far the worst map in the game and that is saying a lot since a ton of maps are seriously bullshit.

Love all the mental gymnastics going on of everyone trying to justify Dcing over the RPD map 😆
Sorry, but there's no justifying poor sportsmanship.

The difference is survivors arent crashing the lobby. No idea how people can defend that over someone leaving the game. It is insane how screwed those priorities are.

Survivors use map offering for the same reason killers do: To gain an advantage (or they just like the map). I don't quit the game just because a map offering is used. It's silly.
0 -
Wait, what? Desync is dependent on ROOMS you are in? It just makes no sense, do you have any reference to that?
0 -
Map offering shouldn't even be in a game like this.
3 -
Killer dont use map offering unless its a jump scare myers.

I mean, I've done it once.
I was playing Wraith, then at 6s all survivors switched out to Flashlight builds. Yeah, no, I'm not rewarding that #########, especially when my power is completely nullified by a flashlight. (lightburn triggers faster than decloaking, so even if you try to decloak to avoid it, you're still getting a 7 second stun)
They lost 3 party streamers. No regrets.

I don't do this often, since I know it sucks to have offerings melted away to dust, but if I see some jerkass last-second switch to a Key, you better believe I'm sending you right back to the queue time hell.

the thing is if a killer dc's before a game starts all that happens is survivors have to find another match. If a SURVIVOR DC's it suddenly means that the remaining 3 survivors have all been screwed over and placed into a massive disadvantage because of the DC.
0 -
Of course they do. I've seen it a lot.

Sure, it's annoying when you want to see a map. But on the flipside, there are too many maps that make playing certain killers a complete waste of time. It's why I think the map should be shown in the lobby.

I think it’s pathetic to DC during loading screen because of a map offering you don’t wanna play at. Just today we had a huntress that DC’d the second we loaded into Lery’s.

As a killer main I look at it this way. They play a cornfield offering, rpd etc.. I just deal with it. I hate those maps.
The difference is, even tho I dislike those maps I DO like a challenge. So I chose to play it. Imagine not wanting a challenge in a video game. If you don't want a challenge go play hello kitty island adventure or Hatioful Boyfriend.
The game is too random. You may get sweat lords or scratched mirror. Just play the game and do your best. Who knows how the match may go, but if you don't want challenge in a video game then you need to play something easy.
