Has anyone seen an influx of hackers lately?

I've seen 2 blatant hackers this week when for the past 3 years I've only seen 1 or 2. Have you guys noticed more hackers lately or is it just me?

Probably because of MMR. You are so good at this game your MMR is similar to that of cheaters, so you get matched with them more frequently.

A lot more than the previous years. Granted a lot of people hack anyways and we just don't know it. However, the more blatant ones like teleporting, hatchet wielding ghost face, etc. are a lot more common, even before MMR was activated.

What kind of cheating, even if it's very miniscule? I want to know what to look out for.

Well there was a guy who recovered from the ground faster than Unbreakable without using Unbreakable and then he healed himself with no medkit or other perk to be able to do it. Luckily the other 3 survivors all saw it and called him out. The other one was a guy flying and healing himself instantly and was doing it just to be funny.

Some of those hackers will let you know they are hacking. They will play random animations, insta heal themselves and teammates, fly around the map, stun the killer for a minute, etc. I think OP is talking about these kind of cheaters.

Yes. Thanks BHVR. Good idea putting a SBMMR while also never addressing people using mods.

yeah i had some strange occurrences lately like 1 killer could find me in a corner without aura perks or add ons and one survivor running faster than me even with Bloodlust. Can't prove anything here unfortunately.

Then i met 2 Fengs running the new cosmetics which aren't out yet (but got leaked on Youtube, that's why i know) but somehow they got it. As they realized i'm a Wraith they came to me and wanted to suicide.

I met 2 of those like half a year ago, they could hook (and unhook) themselves everywhere and then just float around the map while still on hook and the killer could do nothing. They could also insta heal.

These kind of hackers know they will get reported and banned, they just wanna have fun for an evening or so. I fear more those who only give themselves "small" benefits like auras, small speed boosts, going through walls and stuff. If they play it smart it's hard to prove those things.

Before this MMR test, in my 1.5k hours I only experienced a hacker a few times--and it was within a single day, the same hacker (same username all that). After that day, haven't seen another hacker.

Since this MMR test, I've had multiple hackers in my games and they do debilitating things like freeze your game as killer and making you dc

Look out for abnormal flashlight blinds durations. Abnormally bright flashlight beams. Be EXTREMELY sus if they jump in a locker in your face and DO NOT let them stun you (therefore don't get close). Your game will freeze and they will hold you hostage until you dc.

If they try to get your attention from the beginning of the game, be suspect also. Hackers are often extremely cocky and want to bait you to chase them so they can ######### with you.

Other obvious stuff: absurdly fast heals, fast movement speed, etc but that's obvious.
