Have you left this game?
Curious to know if anyone still comes to the forums although they’ve quit the game or took a break. If you have quit or took a break from the game, what made you do it? Me personally I’ve sorta temporarily quit because as a survivor main I got tired of solo que matches as they are a pain to be in 60% of the time and it gets annoying when you get matches with killers that like to tunnel and play scrubby. I only come back to try New Chapters and see how the new killer and survivor perks play out and if it ends up being a flop I don’t bother to play.

I start school this week so I’m hoping it will make me busy and give me no time to play DBD lol.

Nah, I still play at least once or twice a week with my friends. I'd like to play more solo tbh, as I do find it fun, but I just don't have the spare time to justify playing alone with how busy my schedule is.

When this game fires on all cylinders it's a blast to play, but matchmaking, the grind, and just practicing in and of itself definitely wears you thin. I still play the game, but even I admit that my play sessions are few and far between as it's hard to get steamrolled over and over. There are killers I haven't even tried because I don't want to sweat while I practice.

Currently on a break from the game. Killer was getting very stressful in red ranks and when they made The Game, one of DBD's worst maps imo, 2x likely for an event, I decided I'd just play other old favorites. I've been glued to them now. Played some Survivor, maybe might play some Killer soon, but I'm a little nervous to because I just don't want to feel stressed out playing the game.

I play about once a week, and I take a few months break sometimes. (As someone that has played since way early on)
It's just the need for variety. Sometimes I'll play just survivor. Sometimes it's just a killer kind of month. Sometimes I'll play something else for a while. It's just a game at the end of the day, BUT you can sit down, play a match that last at most ~20 mins, then do something else or you can play for 4 hours and hit the rifts.
Of course I enjoy chatting on the forums and sharing game knowledge with just a tad smidgen of teasing and trolling. I find it fun.

Not quit whole sale, just backed off. I'll go days without touching it, then run a few matches for one or two nights. The game is stale.

If this chapter is another ######### show then im probably gonna take a break till the next chapter and if that one is also bad then that's it for me

I quit this game twice and still come back.
Quitted when I started playing this game because of how unbalanced it was when insta heals were busted and when haddonfence was used like 20 times per day with old balanced landing that was like in 2018.
When billy was bugged was the second time, before the nerf billy was "bugged" but it turned out to be the nerf later on.

I've never been too tilted to "quit", but I've taken breaks from the game for a while. Tbh I forget about the forums most of the time if I'm not playing.

Way too many killers tunnel someone out of the game so all of my friends have quit to play other games. It sucks because we used to have a lot of fun but killers are so toxic now that I don't really blame them for not wanting to sit in 15 minute queue just to get bullied by some kid who's projecting.

Honestly, the new models are horrible. I play Dwight and ONLY Dwight and they absolutely destroyed him with this random guy who is claiming to be Dwight.

So i took a break back in may, It turned from a break to a permanent leave for the game, It's so bad atm

I always come back and play due to being excited for the next chapter, how much I like it determines how long I stay. I usually don't stay for long. If I don't like the killer, a few perks alone are never enough to keep me around for long so I'll probably be gone within a week or two once the hype wears off if it's not a killer that I really want to pick up
If they added new stuff to the game besides just perks and killers I'd probably quit taking repeated 3 month breaks. Like new interactables, new game mechanics, new survivor items, but we never get any of that stuff, it's just the same old boring ######### that makes me want to quit as soon as I boot up the game because I've seen it all before a million times

Not yet, but I'm taking a break since almost 2 weeks. I'm done with the stuttering on console and since the rift lacks content for me, I decided to take a break and play a game that is running smooth on my ps4.
I still like the game though, so I'm not ready yet to hang up the boots. But if they can't/won't fix console, then my breaks are getting longer and longer.

I took a 3 month break leading up to the Resident Evil release.
During that time, I didn't read the forums. My daily dose of DBD came from Youtube.
Since I returned, I've visited the forums every other day or so.
I uninstalled DBD 2 or 3 weeks ago.
But I have reinstalled the game about 8 or 9 times since to play a few games, only to uninstall it immediately after I get off.
I am no longer enjoying the game.
Not long till I stop reinstalling, and I'll probably be gone from the forums for good when that happens.

I've been on a hiatus for a long time now, but came back for a lil bit for the anniversary and briefly for the last Bloodhunt. May try to play a little more, but being a PS4 player it is very off-putting with the horrible performance issues. Tried to have a little fun with Pyramid Head the last time I played, but I'd lag whenever I tried to use his power and had to just be a M1(R2) Killer for the match. It just sucked out the fun outta the game and pretty much negated any attempts to practice playing as him.
So, tentatively going to try to stick with the game but just not care as much as I usually would with a game. Console just badly needs fixes and optimization to make the gameplay smoother...but that seems unlikely to fully happen.

Not yet, I'm still playing occasionally and am stupid enough to still buy the rifts to give myself a reason to play.
But if stupid crap like the horrible SBMM is implemented I'm finally gone for good. Which is sad, because I really love the concept of DbD, but incompetent devs/decisions and mechanics, that completely suck the fun out of the game, are a massive reason to just leave.
