Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

New Content Is Too Much About Killer

Survivor gameplay is in the dumpster and hardly any hope escaping a normal match. The last several years have been about nerfing survivors over and over and buffing killers and releasing killers with boring and uncounterable powers. All killers released have been about suppressing survivors so much a solo team has no chance to win. Most matches end up with everyone giving up because of no hope.  A trickster can down you with no counterplay. Victor is so fast that his pounce is totally unavoidable, and Nemesis can just hit directly over a pallet.

This creates extremely unfair gameplay where there is no hope escaping in most matches. A survivor should, same as killer, be able to level up and increase their chances of winning.  Game is not rewarding enough for time invested in the survivor role and the balance and dev team is always focused entirely on killers and killer buffs. It is always hype on the new killer and how uncounterable their power will be and how fun it will be “for the killer”, and never about the survivor. Trickster was the best example as he can throw uncounterable knives and all the survivor got was an exhaustion perk that depended on a pallet to work, against a killer that can throw directly over it.

Survivors need more powers or much better perks to change the game so there is a reason to play instead of grinding for worthless items and perks in the bloodweb such as a toolbox that does nothing. More ways to escape like killers have more ways to kill and win. When you boot the game you really have 2 choices; play one of several survivors that are all the same with weak perks that do very little, or play a rewarding killer with overpowered and oppressive perks for a huge winning advantage. There is no progression on survivor side. Your only chances of winning is if killer is a noob. Too much focus on all about killers with new content and it leaves survivor gameplay stale because of that.

I know nobody is taking a majority of the post seriously because of all the silliness of the post and the person who posted it but there's some truth to it if you look really deep down, survivors are all the same and if you've played one you've played them all, we get new killers all the time but survivors just get a few perks, no new interactables or objectives, not even any new items. Game would be better with more items and something else to do as survivor

Looking at all the replies, are these the same killers that complain that survivors are ToXiC? That's the best example that killer community is the most toxic one in this game, swarming over anyone who's opinion they don't agree with and troll him/her. That's disgusting.

    What do you mean?

Survivors have lots of options and multiple meta builds, or fun builds. Way more than you can do as killer imo.

If you make a list of good perks on each side, survivors will win. Mainly because all survivors can use all perks, there is lot of perks that only few killers can benefit from.

I think the big issue is that survivors only get perks, and none of the perks are competitive. Take the last two chapters: which perks survived past day three of their release?

They maybe didn't get meta perks, but they got fun perks to use for sure. Which is also good thing.

I love using Flashbangs or Blast mine.

Every new killer added IS more survivor content.

Think of it like adding a new boss to an RPG. It's a new enemy to face, a new power to counteract and play against.

And it goes the other way too. Killers now have Flashbangs and Blast Mines to contend with.

But then what should I expect when survivors don't want killers to have powers and just want every killer to be Trapper without the traps?

Blast mine is pretty fun, but Flashbang is way too much hassle and too easily countered.

But the devs could shake some things up with more out-of-trial benefit perks. WGLF is a pretty trash perk, but it rockets up the usage chart simply for the BP boost. That'd be a safe way to introduce new perks that actually stick.

there were 3 other comments when you posted this and none were particularly inflammatory, 2 of which even agreed to varying degrees, so unless comments were deleted, I have no idea where this is coming from. Honestly sounds more like you're creating a problem just to get mad at a group of people you don't like. Now that's disgusting

There were definitely way more comments that got deleted. Almost all of them didn’t even mention anything on topic but were about the poster themself.

(but my comment got deleted as well even though I just said that I agree on some parts and said which part I don’t agree with..)

Sounds like something pretty disrespectful but I don’t know, doesn’t sound like something directly against rules. I am not a mod, I guess you could ask one of the mods directly (eg on their profile wall) and they could explain it to you via private messages.
