As to why we are losing Stranger things? Is this na NDA situation or can you guys explain?

    I would love to know more about what's going on, or at least a reassurance that we're not going to lose all the licensed characters in the future.

    My guess is this is on Netflix. It's probably why the Demogorgon and other ST skins in Fortnite have never returned to their item shop. With the upcoming season, them joining in on the gaming scene, it makes perfect sense why they'd start to be stingy with their IP's.

    The license holder just forced bhvr to give up their rights to stranger things. Simple.

    EVerything is about business. Stranger Things is THE one licensed dlc that is a huge deal. It's growing, it's very very expensive and it becomes even more expensive duo to the new season 4. Not like many others licensed characters is ST still in the present, still growing and a part of netflix.

    Netflix has enough reasons to tell bhvr to pay way more for those very famous characters you can PLAY and the famous map you can actually experience and play in a videogame.

    So Netflix most likely wanted bhvr to pay much more money in order to renew a full license. BHVR didn't felt like the price/worthyness was balanced and canceled the full license. They still got a license, otherwise Netflix wouldnt had allowed BHVR to keep those characters and their content. Nothing is for low, especially not Stranger Things icons.


    So the simple answer to is: the good old money.

    I mean, are we really entitled to an explanation? it's not like those of us that bought the DLC are losing it or being locked out of it.

    Thank you for this. I was sure this was it I am just big sad they would turn around and do this after BHVR has been with it for 8 long chapters. just kinda scummy if if you ask me. As much as I love the show I am terribly upset at how this all unfolded. Sure we get to keep the characters but for how long? What if Netflix up and decides nope we want more money!!!

    They recently licenced into Smite and Roblox (Again) so it's strange they don't want to continue with BHVR

    I'm thinking they might've increased the price for renewal and Behavior said no. They have been price gouging a lot recently. They also secured another new license.
