Question to the Community regarding Late Game Unsportsmanship
In solo queue, often enough a situation will occur that due to no communication, a team of random people will do whatever gens they like (which is perfectly fine), and end up in a bad position. For example having the final generators close enough to each other that the killer can easily patrol between them. When this occurs, particularly in cases where its only me and one other survivor left, I just want to roll the dice at that point, by which I mean go for the gen anyway knowing either one of us will have to give chase and hope to lose the killer, etc. The way I see it that's just the way some games go and again that's fine.
My issue is when the other survivor decides to not go for the objective and instead just stays hidden in hopes that I get caught first. I will still go for the gen despite this but it's a real ######### feeling knowing that your guaranteed to get killed, since the only other choice is to also just camp hidden and then the game just becomes endless ( not to mention at that point we are both actively holding the game hostage which is reportable).
So I just wanted to throw it out to the community, how do you guys deal with similar situations?

This is why I think the hatch needs requirements. It's utter bs and I have to carry games constantly as a solo survivor. I did 3 of the gens and the person who did none gets to escape? bull

I was thinking that maybe something like you have to have contributed x amount of gen meter completion to interact with hatch? This would at least force camping survivors to have to at least attempt late game gen's in order to escape. I dunno really.

However, my post is more related to late game than end game (end game being defined here as once the gates are powered).

I don't like it either, I used to do this but now that I'm more experienced I don't do this anymore, I will always work on Gens to help out my team, but I will never kill myself so you can get out lol. I know this is common in the low ranks but I don't know how it is in the high ranks if people still do this or not.
Maybe a way to fix this is something like if 2 Survivors are left and a Gen has not been worked on for 2 minutes their Auras are exposed for 7 seconds, this way the Killer is no longer held hostage and someone will get killed and one can escape. But if they are doing Gens then this will never happen and bam, no problem.

If I see that survivor has no desire to do gens and waiting for the hatch, I'll fast vault the window or make some other notification next to that survivor for the killer. After then he either will find you or him.

A reasonable minimum score should be necessary. They can do gens, break totems, get chased a lot, something.
The idea of the game is to reward interaction with the killer, apparently.
Not hide until you can escape.1 -

Only two issues with this are if they are hiding behind something with no interaction (large rock for example), or if they are already hiding as the 3rd survivor is killed. Now you have to waste time finding them to flush them out rather than getting cracking on a gen.

I always do gens even though the other survivor could very well be hugging walls and waiting for me to die first. Yes, it feels bad knowing that doing the objective makes me more likely to be targeted than my teammate who crouches in the corner of the map and does nothing. But I refuse to resort to boring/cheesy gameplay just to get out alive. I usually try and save the last one on the hook too, so sometimes I get killed instead and that's fine. I'd rather have an interesting game and die than surviving after 10 Minutes of waiting for my teammate to get found first... It's just annoying to know that being the one who actually does something gets you punished, but of course everyone is free to choose their playstyle.0
