One take away from the PTB
SBMM is going to happen whether or not some people want it or not Behaviors clearly made their mind up it's coming back for sure. So to the ones who don't want it, buckle up you're getting it forced onto you for sure, just like how Dedicated Servers got forced onto us when they weren't even in a good state yet.

The difference between this and dedicated servers is this will make me just play something I enjoy instead. That's just me personally, but I don't think it has any place in this game and I'm not really interested in it

I am happy it's coming in and hope they don't change their mind when the next paragraph goes live.

well, this is gonna increase my TF2 playtime for sure...

Lol. i'll be long gone if SBMM is here..
Sorry but. there should've been a Ranked / Causal gamemode
Not this bs SBMM...
4 -
Adding a casual mode won't change anything. People will just flock to the faster queue.
5 -
I am personally glad. I didn't feel like playing at all yesterday because i wanted to play demogorgon but i didn't want to get destroyed.
7 -
OH NO. SBMM shouldnt be in the game until dbd is more balanced imo. Alot of stuff in this game is very broken nd unbalanced
5 -
LOL at all the people saying they will "leave the game"...ok see you when it goes live.
9 -
People will flock to casual mode when you can't stand the rank queue...
even i would. cause ######### SBMM entirely

I mean if people didn't think it was going to happen after they been talking/testing it for so long I don't know what to say
1 -
im actually happy that its coming. the last 2 SBMM tests i had good matches. defenitely better than the current matchmaking.
3 -
Then Im probably gonna stop playing the killer role then
2 -
I mean, did anyone else really think that they weren't gonna put it in, even though we complained?
They've spent almost 2 years working on it and put a lot of resources and money on it. They were always gonna put it in, whether we liked it or not. They're too proud to admit when they're wrong. Breakable walls are another addition most people disliked but they still insist on putting onto maps.

Unless u main nurse or spirit forget playing killer

Definitely becoming a survivor main, game is going to become even easier for survivor.

Imagine complaining about a system that is supposed to make games fairer, which is certainly has for me and others.

There's not going to be any balance changes for high MMR, so I'm probably out.

How do you know that?

I remember the last time BHVR decided to fiddle with the matchmaking to a point where everything I got was just random beginners just starting the game out for the first time, and it made me quit the game for months until it got fixed. They do it again, it's vacation time. I got plenty of other games to play even if BHVR does not care if old players leave. Besides, seeing just how much DBD consumes my life, this would be a nice excuse to uninstall.

Because it's not like they don't know that the game is BS when good players are involved. They've said in the past that they "think it's cool that people play that competitively but we aren't interested in following that top-down approach."
They've had multiple years to do something about it, and they haven't

I'm not trying to be offensive to anyone but SBMM only benefits terrible players.
You're either a good player, and now the entirety of your matches will be absolute sweaty miserable games, and for the people who are bad, who had okay matches it's purely because you only got put with other bad players.
DBD at it's highest level is literally slugging and slamming out gens letting people die if you have to or camping at 5 gens to secure pressure.
The only people who are celebrating SBMM are mediocre players, and the thing is, everyone on this forum thinks they're gods gift to dbd so will of course argue that they are indeed the best player but their matches were still ok.

Given the recent thread about that streamer, it's clear that even players who are thought of as "the best" aren't necessarily so. SBMM will allow them to see who's really at the top on either side. They can't make proper changes at the extremes (high/low skill) when the ranking system doesn't even work right, IMO.

Where is your NOED now.
0 -
Except, we already KNOW the game is completely unfair at high levels.
1 -
Of course, but what does "high level" really mean, when even someone considered the best of the best isn't it? That's my point - the ranking system needs to more accurately reflect skill before changes can be made at "high level". Without a proper ranking system, "high level" is a meaningless term.

Aren't most players pretty mediocre? If MMR works for most and the current system only works for a few the right answer is obvious.

SBMM has no place in dbd or any game. I dont want to sweat every game with my favourite killer
