Anyone else extremely uncomfortable with Pinhead?
Like, if you read the book/watch the movie, the whole character and his background is unnerving a lot of the time...
I really don't want to vs or even play as him at all...
He's just...eugh...

I'm not sure there's many horror villains in this game you can't say that about. Like...Freddy "Diddles little kids" Krueger is in the game for crying out loud.
Except maybe The Plague based on what we know of her backstory, I'm not sure there's a killer in this game you'd look at and go "I want to hang out and be friends with that guy/gal".

I mean...every killer on the roster kinda has that thing about them that's kinda messed up and would make a normal person go, eugh... I mean hell, are you saying you'd be more comfortable eating dinner with someone like Leatherface? Blegh.

Backgrounds for other killers in the game are just as bad or worse. We have remake Freddy that was a pedo in his movie - I can't think of anything more off putting than that.

If anything Pinhead is one of the "less evil" killers we have at the moment. He only tortures/kill people who open the Lament Configuration. Compare that to guys like Myers or Ghostface who kill for absolutely 0 reason.

Pyramid head is a bringer of torture and r*pes mannequins. I would say he would be on the same level of off-putting as Pinhead if not more.

I do not know if its just me, but watching the killer video play, certain things the killer does, including teh teleport are actually giving me a real head ache (as in a real life pain) i dont have that with the other killers. ITs like the animations make me sea sick lol
The mori animation of him tho i think is great. Too bad the chains dont actually rip the skin off the survivors.

The Cenobites are not the villains of Hellraiser 1 and 2. That honor belongs to Uncle Frank and Leviathan.

When I was a kid, Hellraiser was one of the two films I wanted to see but my parents were unsure about.
It was because of some of the more violent elements. Hellraiser (the whole hooks in skin business) and Predator (the skinned bodies hanging up...I know, ridiculous). But I still got to watch them 😎

I can relate. Although, for me it's not the lore so much as it is just the design. Body horror always makes me a bit uncomfortable but that's doubly so when it comes to more sensitive areas of the body. In particular, seeing how he stuck something through his belly button makes me feel really uncomfortable. Especially since you can visibly see his skin tearing there and how it appears to be swelling and all red. I'm thinking of maining him but at the same time, his design is genuinely off-putting for me so I might reconsider, lol.

That is the entire concept of the Hellraiser universe. The pleasure of pain, or beauty in some instances.
Leviathin's Labyrinth is not a Judeo-Christian style Hell. It is a place where you experience pleasures and pain so intense it will obliterate your soul. They adapted this from the book for the movies of course, there's a good bit of content in the book that would be unsuitable for a movie format, but his design is absolutely perfect and a proper homage to his character.
I am just really glad they went with the Doug Bradley version. So iconic, and his leathers and accessories look perfect. They did real justice to this Chapter, and I cannot wait to see what else we get as far as skins go.
