Killer: The Prince
110% Movement Speed
24m Terror Radius

(Original artwork.)

Power: Abyssal Assault

Part 1 - Eldritch Pull:

At a fixed distance of 3m in front of The Prince, a portal will begin to appear. While this is charging, The Prince has his movement speed reduced to 80%. The longer the effect charges for, the farther the effects will reach. Releasing the input causes a tentacle to quickly appear from the portal, lurching out and travelling up to 16m forward. If it collides with a survivor, they'll be pulled directly to the portal. (3m in front of The Prince.) The portal will dissipate after the tentacle returns. This ability has a base equal to the meters the tentacle traveled. At maximum distance, 16s, and at minimum, 3s. This ability cannot pull survivors who are vaulting or dropping a pallet. It can, however, destroy a dropped pallet almost instantly.

Part 2 - Farsight Alteration:

The Prince is blind, wearing bandages over eyes were. He literally cannot see, and must instead sense his surroundings. Terrain has its aura outlines at all times, globally, as do generators, chests, windows, hooks, pallets, etc. Objects bearing significantly different properties, such as the ground contrasted with a pallet, will have different colored auras. The Prince is unable to detect minor changes to his surroundings, and subsequently cannot see scratch marks or bloodstains. However, by using the tertiary input, he will release a ghastly cry. This will reveal all survivors within The Prince's terror radius for 8s. This effect has a base cooldown of 12s. To cry, The Prince must stop in place for a brief moment. (1s) From the survivor's perspective, an icon appears on the right-hand side of the screen, indicating that they have been revealed. (The sound effect plays globally, which is why this is necessary. This icon has a meter around the border of it, which gradually empties, indicating when the effect will expire. Like the opposite of The Doctor's Madness. (Think of this effect as Echolocation.)

Teachable Perks:

Hexdrinker:

Whenever a dull totem is destroyed, receive an audio notification. Additionally, destroyed totems are restored after 240s/210s/180s. If a restored totem previously bore a perk effect, it is returned with 75%/50%/25% diminished effect.

Unkindled Flame:

The first survivor hit during the trial is afflicted with the Broken status. This effect may only be removed once the Broken survivor has completed 3/4/5 Great Skillchecks. Hitting these Great Skillchecks does not grant an increase in progression to the action. The number of Great Skillchecks required to remove the status is doubled if the affected survivor is the Obsession, however this perk does not influence the likelihood of an Obsession being present in the Trial.

Hex: Liar's Omen:

Your close relationship with the Entity grants you the power to haunt survivors with the mistakes they have made. Teach them the futility of their endeavors. Survivor's failing a Skillcheck on either a generator or sacrificial hook within your Terror Radius are reduced one health state. Whenever a survivor loses health this way, the aura of Hex: Liar's Omen is revealed to them for 3s/2s/1s. At Level 3 only: Destroying Hex: Liar's Omen reduces the survivor's health by one state. If the survivor is downed this way, they may be killed by your hands.

Mori:

The Prince rips off his bandages, revealing demonic, smoke-like voids where his eyes once were. Two portals open up near the survivor’s feet, and two tentacles emerge, one from each, wrapping themselves around the survivor’s legs. The survivor is pulled to the ground, and is slowly dragged back toward the Prince and the tentacles. Two more portals open, and two more tentacles appear, wrapping themselves around the survivor’s arms. The Tentacles work in unison to tear the survivor’s torso into two separate pieces, before dissipating. The Prince stands over this, watching triumphantly, laughing heartily, before putting his bandages back on.

Lore:

Deep in the dungeon of his keep, he found volumes one and two of The Book of Vices, and found himself quickly enthralled with the contents. The dark arts were strictly forbidden under his father’s rule, which made him wonder why they housed such book in their own keep. He never asked, though, as he wished to keep the books hidden, and learn their secrets. It wasn’t long before Lady Margaret, one of their handmaidens, found the books stashed away in Xavier’s chamber, and informed Lord Xerces. The king was outraged. Not only had someone violated the law of the kingdom, but it was none of than his son, a prominent public figure nonetheless. This could no go unpunished. Xavier could never read the texts again. Xerces lured Xavier into his chamber, as he did not yet know that his secret had gotten out. In an instant, Xerces struck his son across the face with his rapier, slashing both of his eyes open. He collapsed instantly, in screams of pain. As his son writhed on the floor, desperately crying out for help, his son waved a guard over. “Take him to have his wounds bandaged. Tell none of what’s happened.” and the guard did just that. Lady Margaret was quick to patch him up, but, she knew exactly what had happened, without needing to be told directly.

It was weeks before Xavier could walk by himself, let alone navigate the expansive, and seemingly endless hallways. But soon enough, it came to him. But that wasn’t all that came to him. At night, in his dreams, someone, or something, would speak to him in a foreign tongue he couldn’t understand. Soon enough, he would hear its voice while he was awake, too. As the voice spoke, unintelligibly, for days at a time, it gradually came to make more and more sense. Until Xavier could understand perfectly.

Xavier followed the instructions of the voice, wanting to learn more about it. He snuck away from his retainers, into the depths of the keep once more. There, the tomes he’d once idolized shone through the darkness; almost as if he could see them through his gashed retinas and bloodied bandage. The voice insisted he pay them no heed, for the moment. Xavier ventured further into the darkness, in search of pine resin, the kingdom’s primary fuel, as it was plentiful in the neighboring forest.

Under the shroud of night, the blind prince lathered each and every residence in pine resin. The voice told him that the kingdom was not allowed to stand, and that it must burn for what the king had done to him. It commanded that he kill his father. The prince heeded its verdict. Xavier entered his father’s chamber, and seized the rapier which had stolen his vision. He plunged it into his father’s abdomen several times, piercing through the mattress of his bed. As the life drained from Xerces’ eyes, the rapier’s blade was forced under his chin, extending into the furthest reaches of his skull. Xavier swiftly removed the blade, and his father’s body fell to the floor, motionless.

Xavier exited the castle with haste, and began the kingdom’s retribution by fire. Everything was laid to waste. No man, woman, nor child, would leave alive. Those unlucky enough to escape the flames, met a grisly end at the hands of the prince. Only one man left the blaze with his life, but was never seen again.

I've never played Dark Souls, so I didn't realize that the Add-ons shared names with some of the in-game items. I'll change those around sometime. As for the Bloodborne comparison, it's a false claim. There are indeed attacks in the game that use tentacles, however the circumstances around the attacks are entirely different. Neither Micolash nor Iosefka use rapiers, and their tentacle attacks serve no purpose other than to damage the player. Other than the fact that there are tentacles, there are no similarities.

Regardless, I appreciate you bringing the name thing to my attention. Thanks. :chuffed:
