Never saw anyone talk about this but Flashlight addons need a rework

Most of them do literally nothing and at worst they hinder you even more than they help you. Most people you see running flashlights will almost always be running increased duration addons and maybe the ultra rare addon which I believe doesn't really do much but I could be wrong about that.

    Flashlights were a mistake.

I don't mind them that much they just need to get rid of the accuracy ones because I swear they don't do anything

Most survivor add-ons need a pass and streamline. They have too many add-ons considering the number of items and most of them are useless.

A lot of other items also do, but I agree that Flashlights probably need them more than the others. Some generic ideas for what Flashlight addons could do:

    • Reveal the Killer's aura to all Survivors for something like 10 seconds upon blinding (IMO this is what Odd Bulb should do, as "you blind even faster!!!!" is a godawful excuse for an iridescent IMO)
    • Reveal the Survivor's aura while using the flashlight
    • Reveal some specific nearby props (eg. Chests) while using the Flashlight
    • The ability to cleanse Totems using the Flashlight, being twice as fast but consuming flashlight battery
    • Revealing all Injured Survivors using the Flashlight
    • Granting certain small buffs when Blinding the Killer, like a Vigil-esque negative status reduction
