"Did you have fun?"
Hey guys,
Does anyone use the "Did you have fun?" thing at the end of the match? Does anyone know how it works or if it works at all?
I personally only use it for when a match was absolute trash or when I really have fun, but most of the time when matches are just meh I don't even bother (so it's either 1 or 5 points). But I was wondering exactly what it does to matchmaking in general.
Do you think this kind of feedback is useful or should it ask for a short description of why people find certain matches fun or not?

I watched Almo's stream one time and he responded to a chat message with this question and if i remember correctly, they use that information and look at what killer/perks were used and look at all that data as a whole to see what's fun and what's not. So, i think it's pretty important so i try to fill it out every match.

I hope it works, but I think it's a placebo thing. I always fill it out, mainly cause I'm waiting for the game to load other inputs
edit: always zero for meyers. I don't even play with him or ghost face, it's not fun

If the in-game report button is a placebo, I don't think there is any chance this thing is not.

Most of the time I put a one star, it's not because of the killer, it's because of my lame ass teammates.

I used to click the "fun button" all the time, usually when I had a good match but sometimes also when someone played like a total jerk and reports were necessary.
...Then I realized that both buttons do nothing and stopped altogether.

so.. if i tick NO on every game. Does that mean they will nerf all the survivor meta perks and swf? because it is never fun vs that.

Do they consider that maybe the way people played was why someone didn't have fun?
If I'm survivor and I rate the game one star chances are it's because of my survivor teammates. Rarely I'll rate the game 1 star because of the killer as survivor.
As killer it's basically was I unable to do anything regarding defending objectives because of map rng and survivor spawns / items.

I usually end up putting one star when i get camped and tunneled by some braindead killer or trolled by a swf death squad.
I put 5 stars when i have fun which doesn't always equate to an escape or getting kills.
I rarely put anything in between. This game is so polarized.
And i doubt it does anything.

Interesting. I usually don't rate my matches as unfun based on killers or perks, it's mostly about playstyles or game conditions. I don't mind going against strong killers, but being matched to a killer that's several ranks/hours above or below me is quite not fun at all. The same with the way people play, I don't mind tunneling as a strategy or rushing gens for survivors, but things like unnecessary slugging or key-users camping hatch while the rest of the team dies are just so boring. That's why I was thinking maybe a short feedback could be more useful than just the 1-5 points.

I always use it even tho it does absolutely nothing

Same here, it's either "not fun at all" or "i liked this match". I feel like something in between makes no sense if not accompanied by a short explanation. Is like "I kinda liked this match" Okay... but why? what did you like? what didn't you like? why was it partially enjoyable...

Yeah exactly. I used to put 3 stars for matches that i thought werent challenging either as killer or survivor or were boring but not frustrating ... But how is anyone supposed to know that from that information? Lol

My speculation is that IF the "fun" button ever really did, or does, supply any information to BHVR, it would only be for the purpose of providing a quick summary of how players may be reacting to changes in the game. Take the matchmaking test they just had, for example. Maybe the fun feedback IS active and working, and what it did was show BHVR that "hey, there's been a huge spike (or drop) compared to our monthly averages, it seems that a lot of people are enjoying / not enjoying this change".

I rank every trickster a 1 if that's what you mean

I used to. Every single trial.

part of me wishes it does something but then i see all post going "i rate 1 because of thing regardless of my experience in the match" and hope it does nothing

NO

Not much point. The data they'd gather would likely only get a surface level view of why a particular match was fun or unfun. As others have suggested, a little box where we could type why a game was fun or unfun would be nice. Make the data more meaningful too.

Always 5 stars when someone DC, and thumbs up on the DC'er.

I have no idea what it's for but I don't think I've ever used it.

Rarely. I wish there was an option to show a HUD that allows you to do the fun rating thing. It would immediately appear when the post-game results come up.
