Nemesis Buff Suggestion: Can we maybe reduce the speed boost Survivors gain on the first tentacle?

The Developers and the Community are at opposite ends on this topic: The Devs think Nemesis's first tentacle strike not giving a sprint burst is too oppressive while the Community seems to think (mostly) in general that this is not true.

Could we at least consider a compromise and just reduce the sprint burst speed? It's 150%, right?

How about reducing it down between 50%-100%? This way Survivors gain a bit of distance while Nemesis doesn't feel as lackluster on the initial strike. 75% would cut it in half but not be useless.

Fact of the matter is a NON HEALTH STATE speed boost feels bad. So could we at least try to meet in the middle? Even a slight change would be nice regarding this.

I say they drop the hindered effect and the joke addons for something else

two surv hits enough to essentially break loops

Can we please just delete that speed boost? That hindred effect can go away with it as well since I never noticed the effect of it anyway and it would bit balance it out.

Sadly Devs are fine with it and say any change to buff Nemesis in that regard was too "unfun to play against". They are happy where Nemesis sits in regards to his power.

Yeah, I think it's ridiculous that they get a speed boost. Plague's Puke doesn't give a speed boost why should Nemesis be hindered on the the initial tentacle hit?

I don't understand why they won't let us test it ourselves. If they're that convinced the community is wrong, then prove it. At worst we'll have an overpowered Killer in the game for a couple of weeks. Did the launches of old Freddy and old Legion scare the devs that badly to where they’re giving BS restrictions to Killers and not allowing us to test them without those restrictions?

Plague's puke doesn't give a speedboost, but it can give a full heal.

The weird thing is the tentacle is supposed to apply hindered which...gets negated with the speed boost hit. So....why even bother having the tentacle apply hindered? It makes 0 sense at all. Why actively design something to counter itself like that? It'd be like if after using DS you can't move until 1 second before the killer recovers from the stun. Kinda negates itself.

I have no clue, it's so pointless and poorly thought out. It doesn't even last more than like, a second or 2.

Dude, it's not even that long! It's literally less than half a second! Like who designed this and thought this was fine and made sense?

Reduce? Nah, we should remove it. I'd love to test it in a PTB.

On a normal speed boost the survivor moves an additional 2 m/s for 2 seconds, giving them an extra 4 meters of distance. 12 meters total.

The hindered affect is -20% for .25 seconds

With the hindered the survivor moves at 4.8m/s for .25 seconds and 6m/s for 1.75. Total 11.7 m/s. An extra distance of 3.7 m/s from the speed boost.

This means the difference between a tentacle hit and regular hit is .3 meters

The survivor has a base speed of 4 m/s and the killer 4.6m/s. Thus the killer catches up to survivor at .6 m/s.

This means the hindered affect only puts the survivor half a second worth of walking closer to you than if it wasn't there, hardly noticeable.

They should simply up the strength of the hindered. Up the duration on the hindered to 1 second or maybe 1.5 second

At 1 second the survivor would move 10.8 meters total. This places them 1.2 meters closer to you or roughly 2 seconds less of walking.

At 1.5 seconds The survivor would move 10.2 meters total. This places them 1.6 meters closer to you or roughly 2 2⁄3 seconds closer.

Eh I don't think that's the problem with nemesis, I think he would be way less fun to go against if the speed boost was removed. His kit is basically just always m1 and then m2 when they perform an action. From my time of maining nemesis, his kit is fine he is just another oppressive 1v1 killer and weak 1v4 killer. Just spend the early game getting as many tentacle hits as you can on uninfected survivors to make them use all their vaccines. Nemesis is his strongest late game when tier 3 and no more vaccines.

He had to have had his power completely revamped halfway through development or something and this is just a leftover from that.
