Why is Trickster so bad on console?

Member Posts: 2,533

Every console player I have talked to has said Trickster is super bad on console, so I have to ask. What is he like? Specifically, why is he so much worse than Huntress and Deathslinger?

When I use him (PS4) it feels like the recoil is fighting against me more than it should. Compared to watching a PC player the recoil for them seems non-existent, but console feels like it's actually stopping you pulling back down at times

Simply put,Trickster is bad on console because of the lack of proper controller settings to adjust things like deadzone or response curve.

Trickster requires to track the survivor with your blades and constantly make tiny adjustments to your aim to account survivor movement, environment, recoil and the fact that Trickster never throws his blades in the exact middle of your screen.

It's just incredibly frustrating to deal with on controller and takes a ton of effort compared to Huntress and Deathslinger who only need you to aim well one time to get a healthstate

He is not horrible on console. I perform decently well myself

Hard to aim with a stick without any good controller settings, that's mostly why.

Same reason why it's so easy to spin controller killers as well, on top of bad performances.

The majority of ranged killers don't do well on console. Huntress, twins, deathslinger, trickster , and even nemises and executioner . It's in the controls. I think trickster would have the hardest time since there blades need to be really precise.
