Should challenges (dailies and tome) wield shards and cells?
Title.
DbD is the only game I can genuinely think of where it's NOT possible to earn premium currency through other means.
Now, naturally this change should only come with mechanics that counter BM, but otherwise we need a way to earn shards and cells other than leveling up or paying money.

Shards? Sure. Auric Cells? It’ll never happen. It’s what makes Behaviour money. From a business standpoint, it would be stupid to allow you to earn them in-game, especially since many people are willing to pay for them.
It would be nice if they did, but don’t hold your breath on it.

but that's the weird thing:
It's advisable to give people a way to earn premium currency, as that makes it more likely for them to buy it

I might be wrong, but doesn't dbd mobile allow players to gain auric cells in extremely small amounts? Like 10 or 20 by completing challenges or something.
If I'm wrong please make sure to correct me

Tomes I don't think so- though there should definitely be shards in the Rift in the empty spots on the Free track (and also replace some awful charms in the Premium one too tbf). Dailies could do with a whole overhaul, something like this:
- Each day spawns 3 new, random challenges. At least one is guaranteed to be for survivor and killer.
- Any dailies from the previous day are removed.
- Dailies are more likely to spawn for a character you have a higher level with (for example, I'm more likely to get a daily for my P350 Executioner than my P035 Clown).
- Two dailies (the ones guaranteed for each side) award bloodpoints for completion, like currently. The one other daily is much harder- something like "Sacrifice 12 survivors" or "Stun the killer 5 times"- but can be completed universally across all characters of a certain role. Completing this daily awards Iridescant Shards.
- Completing all 3 dailies unlocks a "Weekly Challenge", which is significantly grindier to do. This can be for either survivor or killer, or even both, and has multiple tasks. (For example, one could be "Send a survivor to a Cage of Atonement as The Executioner 6 times, repair the equivalent of 3 generators as Claudette Morel, and sacrifice 48 survivors."). Completing a Weekly Challenge awards bloodpoints, Shards, and a small amount of Auric Cells.

Sometimes in the shops the presents give you cells, I don't know about challenges I don't play mobile enough

I'd say let people pick from the 'new' dailies those they want instead of removing the old ones. sometimes you didn't feel like playing or couldn't so removing a challenge you wanted to do is a bit ehhh

It would be nice for them to do this, like a small amount and make the dailies like how they use to be back in the day so they're not easy to get
Fortnite does this with Save the World with small amount of V-Bucks with dailies
I never do my DbD dailies anymore since BP is worthless to me now

DbD Mobile has one daily and one weekly challenge that award five Auric Cells each. So eight chances at five free cells a week. It's very small but at least something, considering I already had to buy everything licensed for the PC version of the game. And mobile is free to play on top of the opportunities for free cells.

Soooo I searched a little and it turns out you can gain auric cells in mobile a few ways:
1- Login in Rewards ( Tbh don't know why they haven't added this already it's only like 30 cells per week )
2- Weekly challenges
3- Prestige a character
4- Watch ads ( But let's be real, no one would want that )
I myself think that the 3 first ways of getting cells should be implemented in too our dbd, it wouldn't hurt Behaviour's pockets, since it's like 5 to 20 auric cells and it would reward dedicated players of the game.

I'd love for more ways to earn shards and a way to earn cells. So I'm all for this.

Shards should be in the premium rift. Ideally we would want them in the free track, but that would hurt cosmetic revenue so that would not be feasible to BHVR as a business model.

Unless it's simply not available in iOS only anymore, ads are no longer an option. Also, I wasn't aware that prestiging awarded cells but never received a pop-up or paid attention. I will do that the next time I prestige.
There are also specific mystery boxes that cost 15k BP that can award five cells, rarely.

Mhnn... I think if they put shards into the free rift along 'simple' charms, while having cells/higher amounts of shards of special charms on the premium rift, that might work.

I would be happy if they at least cut the shard cost on cosmetics a little bit. 21k for one outfit is too much tbh. That is like 100 levels if I'm not mistaken. One devotion.

I wish the dailies gave you some kind of shards -- either rift shards or iri shards. I try to knock them out because I can't resist doing a task, but I don't need the bloodpoints, and I'm not excited about them.
For the auric cells: I've played a few multiplayer games, now, and I have to agree that DBD is unusual in that it offers a lot of cosmetics that you can ONLY EVER get by paying money. Every other game I can think of has some kind of path you can take to unlock the cosmetics without paying money, even if it takes eight million years -- it's theoretically possible. This game is weird in that it's not.

Maybe shards for completing a level of a tome
