Game Health Chapter With Massive Event!
It's well known that the game's overall optimization is in a poor state. We also know that the game depends on constantly attracting new players to buy chapters and cosmetics, as well as having veterans return to buy the latest shiny objects before leaving again. For this reason I believe BHVR is afraid to skip releasing a new killer/survivor, thinking it will lead to too many people quitting.
My idea is for this is to take off a full chapter and focus almost entirely on game health and optimization. In order to help offset the possible loss of income and players, they should have a massive event, or series of events to keep players coming back. Here are some of my suggestions for the event. Feel free to add your own ideas!
Release exclusive cosmetics that can only be earned or purchased during the event window.
Release new legacy cosmetics that can only be earned during the event window.
Have Perk Weeks where for the whole week certain perks for killers and survivors have added effects or are buffed to the extreme.
Have a featured killer/survivor week where each week a killer or survivor has added bonuses like stronger powers, extra perks slots, or enhanced abilities like faster healing.
Have a massive "2nd Chance" rift where people can obtain items from past rifts. If you already have those items they're replaced with Bloodpoints, Shards, or Auric Cells.
Finally release custom mori's that are first available during the event. Have some that are event exclusive.
Create easy (or relatively easy) to implement special events like a "Pass the Rancor" game where several actions cause the obsession to change and the goal is to pass the obsession to someone else before the killer gets to use rancor on someone.
Activate any past events that are still in the game and could be easily turned on. (I'm thinking pustules, lunar hooks, crowns).
Bring back all past event items like firecrackers.
Have double, triple, and even quadruple bloodpoint events.
That's all I've got for now.

I would love for a game health chapter, along with some sort of an event. The issue is, BHVR has no reason to do this as long as people keep buying cosmetics for the game.
The boycott went nowhere. The game peaked during the Resident Evil chapter. As much as I want this kind of chapter, but unless people show they want it through their wallets, it won't happen.

God I would love this but unfortunately it will likely never happen

To be honest i completely forgot about the boycott when the stranger things sale started. Just can't miss out on that

Tha failed boycott is part of the reason I was thinking about this. People will never get on board with it. There's a large portion of the community that would never even hear about a boycott being put together. So I think incentives for BHVR to fix the game while also making some extra money, pulling inner players, and even bringing back veterans is an all around win.

Those are some solid ideas, but i don't really know if they can fix all of the performance issues people have with the game in three months. I feel like the issue may be a lot more complicated than people think.

True. Though I think it would give them closer to 6 months. Either way though, it would have to help to some sort of noticeable degree while also being fun for the players.

I don't think they would be able to fix this in reasonable time even if they really tried.
Unless they revert a lot which will never happen.
They probably have to change everything from scratch at this point.

Never going to happen unfortunately. The last event we got was an old recycled one. They are done with cool engaging events. They will add dlc after dlc until the game dies

That seems to be how everyone feels. It really shows that BHVR has let the community down too often when it comes to optimization and bug fixes.
