Are all hags and demogorgons tunnelers?

Pretty much every hag I face will surround hooks with several things so she can teleport if set off. Then Demogorgons I've faced often put at least one if not several spots to spawn up around the hook.

I don't really place portals next to hooked survivors as Demo, I only really do it if there's a generator next to them, in which I'd likely just place two portals in case they cleanse the one I placed. Ofc I can't speak for all Demos, but isn't it a bit... bold to y'know, assume that all Hags and Demos are like that?

I've seen a lot that do it even if it's not near a gen

In fact most hags I've come across won't even bother to tag ground near gens just hooks.

The Demos I face are usually decent and rarely tunnel. Hag's tend more to proxy camp than tunnel. They'll stay near their web of traps.

From personal experience the most notorious tunnelers are Nemesis players. I don't know why. There's nothing about his power that encourages tunneling. But for some reason they are the worst for it.

Yes, I counted them myself, literally all of them tunnel. How shameful!

I don't go out of my way to tunnel as Hag, but I will teleport a trap if it's set off and swing immediately at whoever did it.

Hag camps but doesn't tunnel, she kills whatever triggers her traps.

I've had hags run back to hooks if you don't set their traps off and that after surrounding hook with traps.

Do we all tunnel? No. Do some of us? Yes. But that could be said about nearly every Killer in the roster thus far.

In my experience tunneling killers are:

Spirits (phasing back to the hook most of the times)

Wraith, Pyramid Head, Clown, and the new blood Nemesis.

    *EDIT

I forgot the number 1 dbd tunneler, Freddy.

Even if that was the case: Just bring DS, BT, rush gens and play it smart. Tunneling is still allowed and theres nothing wrong with it.

With Nemesis, I guess they want to go for someone that’s already infected and injured since it’s probably a quick down. If they go for a fresh survivor, they’ll probably hit them 3 times before they get another hook because a lot of Nemesis players are M2 only (even though it’s pretty inefficient to do that the whole match).

I never understood why so many Nemesises are such committed tunnellers until I played him a bit more. I still think it’s dumb and annoying, but I at least get why now.

The overwhelming majority of killers camp and tunnel. It requires no skill and a lot of survivors have no idea how to counter it, if they are even willing. Demo at least usually portals away before coming straight back to the hook. Most killers never even do that.

As a Hag player I don't trap hooks until my third seal is cleansed and even then I will place a single trap at the hook (if I feel like it and most gens are done). Otherwise I'm trapping common survivor pathing and teleporting to anyone who sets off a trap without distinction.

The worst tunnelers imo, are Wraith players. They go invisible just far enough away from the hook that they're basically just running insidious with invisibility and as soon as someone comes for the save they zoom back and uncloak and go immediately after the unhooked survivor. Spirit is also really high up there as are Nemesis and Freddy players.

I haven't seen a tunneling Wraith in a long time.

Then again, I haven't seen someone other than me play Wraith in a long time.

A lot of em are yes. I tend to only face those killers at lower ranks and Demo only about twice per year. But yes, they have a tenancy to tunnel oddly

Not saying it's good that they camp but while learning those killers those are effective ways to use their powers in a basic manner. It's like how twins can be really strong but beginners use her to camp, it's an easy way to see results.

  • Because they can teleport to an injured hooked survivor and stop them from being healed. The game actually punishes you if you let survivors heal.

As a casual Demo enthusiast, I am definitely not a tunneler.

A filthy disgusting sweaty proxy camper, yes. But I am not a tunneler.

Tunnelling with Nemesis makes sense tbf. Infecting multiple people does very little and trying to down someone without using the tentacle is difficult at some tiles. If he does go for multiple people rather then tunnelling then he'll likely lose. Hitting multiple Survivors three times is a recipe for a guaranteed 3 man out. So, he's kinda forced to tunnel vision one or two people. If he doesn't, then bye bye gens.

    Yes.
