Optimization is fine
Just get the SSD
Edit: And check your PC, there may be problems with thermal paste. Running an antivirus is a must too.

A what?

Yeah no

No game should require a SSD just to function normally. Is this bait or are you serious?
9 -
1) Yes pay over 50 quid to play the game on top of all the DLCs
2) @Pulsar tested that the SSD has minimal impact on Xbox consoles
Optimisation is not fine.
I'd say stop while you're ahead but you've been lapped thirteen times

You're delusional if you think current optimization is fine.

5 years old game should work without it on any console and we aren't obligated to spend money on them we already did by buying game and their products it's their job to offer us decent experience
3 -
Or they could just optimize the game.
I can run more graphic demanding games just fine on Ps4 and Xbox One, I don't think I need to buy a SSD.

Solid State Drive- a method of storing data using "flash memory", which is quick to read but expensive to produce so usually doesn't come in too large a size. This is in contrase to a Hard Disk Drive, or HDD, which stores data using magnets on a lot of disks. This is slower to read but a lot cheaper to produce, so you often get these in much larger quantities.
Basically, DBD has an issue with stuttering on a HDD but SSDs seem to be better in a lot of cases- not all, however

It doesn't fix the issues.

It's also double the price! In a global pandemic! Where money struggles are still prevalent!

By ssd which no other game on last gen requires to run. Lol.
Plus experiences are mixed it is not even a proper solution.
5 -
Cool. Should I leave my address so you or Bhvr can send it to me?

No times does not change there's countless games that has better graphic much more work and and as you say requires higher technology but guess what they run smoothly on console dbd doesn't because team isn't capable to make it right dbd is 5 years old just as much as old gen consoles

When you think about it that's the least they could do to apologize for ######### we endured 4 months lmao

Had to go through my Amazon history to confirm. I used my first SSD in 2013 and haven't looked back. Wild that this isn't baseline in consoles. That's like people playing on discs.
1 -
Optimization is fine. Ya know, only if you pay for extra stuff that is. Makes sense.
4 -
you dont need ssd for red dead redemption 2. next.

People are taking this seriously

You are a handful mate.

When you can run games such as RDR2 and Witcher 3 perfectly with no issues, but can't run DBD without an SSD, the optimization is most definitely not fine as it is.
2 -
PC normally has fewer issues.
I bought a new SSD off of Amazon just to try this and it didn't help at all even though my One X has a hybrid SSD pre-built into it iirc,

I don't have dbd on a ssd and the game still works great on pc, it is the poor optimization for console players that it is ruining it for them.
What you are saying basically says "This game works great on pc and works amazing with an ssd" but for console, since the devs don't care for optimization they are stuck with an extremely bad port that makes silent hill homecoming on pc look amazing.
5 -
Optimization is not fine and the devs should not be selling something on a platform if they cannot make it work on that platform. If they want to say the game is to advanced for last gen consoles, then its simple stop selling it on that console. If you are going to sell it, you have to optimize it and make it work.
What you are saying is basically you should buy a new car and then have to pay more so the engine can go more then 40 mph.

My Xbox1x built in 2018 came with a hybrid SSD in it already. Pulsar tried using a SSD on his Xbox1x and it made precious little difference.

That is the point of people mentioning optimization, it is mostly for console players.
But it is true that the game needs major optimization even for pc, my pc is mid tier, 1660 super, ryzen 5 3600 and even then I get stutters in certain maps like rpd.
And honestly, last gen consoles ps4/xbox1 they can run pretty decent looking games and not stutter at all, but with dbd I know that the ps4 can barely handle it because of how poorly optimized it is.
If you do not believe me, look for videos on how dbd currently is for console players, killers if they get bl they freeze for like 3 seconds, dh freezes the survivor, mangled destroys them as well.
This reminds me so much of nier automata and how bad the port is on pc, same as silent hill homecoming and their many game breaking bugs.

Yeah it's not a HDD issue, I use an SDD. Always do for all my games since it does affect performence but it doesn't affect the frame drop issue at all

The newest Xbox machines already have a SSD. But are expensive af even if you can somehow find one in stock.
0 -
Not exactly sure what an SSD is but I am not spending 68 to 100+ USD just to have DBD run slightly better.

More effort on your next bait post

Everyone just needs to get better consoles and PC's! Consoles are only around $500 or get a PC for about $2000 and it should play most games pretty good. I switched to PC and it's so much better. ;)

There's no way this isn't bait.
But anyway..
I'm on PC and i moved the game to my HDD from SSD again due to lack of space and there is pretty much no difference. All it helps with is loading, not game performance itself, for me at least.

The One X has been compared to the GTX 1070 in terms of power. Here's the price compariso
And for the record, maybe don't belittle people for not being able to afford or justify the purchase of a new console. They are expensive and extremely hard to find.

This is the worst post I've ever seen.

1) I have a PC that runs the game well, so your point doesn't apply to me. Others are nowhere near as lucky.
2) Find me one in the UK in stock at regular retail price. I can get a PS5 on Ebay for £1400, nowhere else has it in stock. The only one in stock is the digital and streaming only, inferior hardware Xbox Series S, so ######### you to anyone in the Playstation Ecosystem and ######### you to anyone who has the disk version of DBD
This argument will be stronger 2-3 years down the line. Right now it's garbage.

I wasn't being completely serious. Although I would definitely recommend upgrading.
