My rule book. The secret rules
People always talk about hidden rules for either side so I thought I'd join in and go through my own rules. What are your own rules? Do you agree?
Both rules: DO NOT SEND HATE, Dont use an X sided map and be mean about it. Dont DC.
Survivor rules: Dont click flashlights, Dont t-bag, dont quick switch.
Killer: dont shake/nod at downs, dont hit on hook, dont camp/4man slug near start of the game.
Endgame: Anything goes means the killer can camp and tunnel, survivors can leave or stay just no toxicity about it.
Pretty simple rules, no BM for either side. Play as sweaty or as casual as you like just dont be toxic or quit because of it. As the game is nearing an end the killer is allowed to play more harsh in terms of hook proximity or tunneling in a last ditch effort before the games over.
Understand both sides want to play, have fun and try to win. No perks, killers, offerings or items are toxic. All are allowed without hate or backlash.
Keys need to be balanced, if you're using one fine, just dont quick switch. killers can be allowed to back out or start playing more harsh to counter the key until a suitable balance is put into play

Honestly for me I dont mind as long as they dont BM me at the exit. Sure you guys can heal and I'll hit you out but dont wait for me to show up and then leave or BM at the exit.

My only rule in the book is play how you want but don't complain in end game chat if the other team plays like a ######### back.

My rule:
Killer: everyone enjoys the game.

Holy ######### this art is so cute that I might have to start playing spirit constantly just to do this

Well if they are all healed and you're the other side of the map then I understand why youd want to to leave. Cant say iv experienced that as they're either injured or I'm pushing them out
Eh, I dont like farming it gets boring and often there isnt max cakes etc. I'd rather just play the match, I dont mind versing spirit though lol

My only rule is to never BM. Only exception is if the other side is BM'ing me to the point of it being really annoying. I also rarely use exhaustion perks as Survivor but that's not really a rule. I just don't like them, lol.

My rule for killer games,
If there is a really nice altruistic survivor who is not toxic I let them leave. Also i always try to two hook before killing although sometimes i end up killing by accident.
Survivor no BM to killer regardless of how they play <I am a killer main and I know that toxic behavior encourages them to do more bad stuff ironically, same goes if play as killer>

The only rule I follow.
Thou shall keep one's rule book to thyself

Solid code of conduct my dude ^^
I admit, I shake and spin around a lot but that is me goofing with the survivors... which I do more then I should ^^" If people are down to clown I am all for it.
My own personal rule as killer:
- if someone DC or is afk I will let the other 3 go. Match really isn't fun when that happens.
- if people are good sports then the last survivor gets hatch.
- boop the snoot = you live ♡

By farming, I dont actually do the farm. Its really boring and time consuming. But I just play a normal game, with 4 Hex perks, double hook them and let them escape, the purpose of playing Spirit is I should able to do 8 hooks without any useful perk.. But this is only in events.
Normally I main Trapper with Endgame build, no one gets last hook UNTIL the last Gen done. With Rancor, Noed, Bloodwarden, STBFL, bring in a test on survivors. At that time, a death survivor would earn at least 15k BP.
I did a full album arts of Spirit : D, you can check my profile for more stuff & infos.

I have a loosely base-set of rules which I adhere to, dependent upon the circumstances and what's been happening.
General: Always use a randomizer to select perks, add-ons and offerings, unless a mission requires a particular perk. This never changes.
Show honour in victory; be gracious in defeat.
Killer: No face-camping (patrolling is fine, if there's a good reason to).
When there are 2 gens left, anything goes, but up until then no taking advantage.
If there's a survivor who is clearly learning, I'll go lightly and sometimes let them escape.
Survivor: Respect all killers. No teabagging at gates or clicking torches (an exception to the rule is of any killer who face-camps or shows disrespect).
Be a team player, and follow Dwight's quote: "I need you to survive so that I can survive"

These are terrible rules

I dont have any rules. I play killer how i want, meaning i will sometimes tunnel, camp, slug or play in an "unfun" way. When i play survivor i will rush gens, bring meta perks and if required taunt the killer to get an advantage. I dont blame any playstyle on both sides, unless they are cheating ofc.

Here's the only rule people really need to remember. These developers don't listen or care about this community and their balance concerns or suggestions, because they know best. Therefore any and every single thing in this game that bothers you is their fault. Maybe not every scenario but, you know, you can't blame people for doing things in a video game that exist as a game development decision.

Well thats your opinion, these are just rules I enjoy doing and having others do the same.
Okay well that's up to you, I just dont like acting horrible or BM others.
What balance are you on about then? Wasnt quite what the post was about lol

If you blind me with a flashlight, I will violate every single rule the survivors ever transcribed and make the rest of your game as unenjoyable as humanly possible. I am about to 360 teabag into stab while nodding as you hang on that hook and enjoy the show. If you get out and the circumstances are right, you bleed out.
Other than that, good luck and have fun. Tee hee!

These are rules I can agree on.
I'll probably still nod on survivors who get downed by zombies or forget to mend, this is just too funny.

Especially if you hit them with the zombie combo. I never nod, but man, I nod irl at the beauty.
