I’m going to ignore matchmaking with this since they are working on a different system.
I think it depends on the intent of the pip system. If it is intended to be a reward system for playing in a way that the developers feel makes fun matches for both sides, then no, you shouldn’t be necessarily be rewarded for escaping or getting a 4K. If it is intended to reward you for escaping or killing, then yes, you should at a minimum safety pip, probably more.

It should be a safety pip. I dont know if it is possible to 4K and Depip as Killer (other than Evil Incarnate), but it is frustrating to Depip as Survivor when escaping. Would also help against AFK-Killers, at least the Survivors get a Safety Pip like this without having to waste time in a boring game.

I think it should be the classic "it's the journey, not the destination".
Survivors should get rewarded for their participation in the trial. Unhooks, healing, generators, totems, chases, (escape).
Killers should get rewarded for their participation in the trial. Prolonging the hope and torture of the survivors. I think there should be a tremendous bonus for 'death hooking' each survivor after ALL survivors are on second hook. Therein lies the artistry of being a killer. Not 1-2-3 hooking each survivor and drilling them out of the trial, but getting each and every survivor to second hook, THEN hunting them down one-by-one until they are all gone. Or letting the last one escape because at that point, it no longer matters. You've asserted your dominance and given the entity all the hope and despair it can get for this match...
Anyway, $4 a pound.

If facecamping Killers usually get a safety pip, I'd say Survivors who escape but are useless to the team in every other category deserve the same treatment. Still, the current system has lots of problems, so here's hoping the upcoming one is better.

For killers the game should be weighted more on getting hooks and hits rather than sacrifices. One it would make scoring just feel better and would help better define the expectations the game is placing on us. I sort of want to de-emphasize sacrifices in general and emphasis gameplay changes that make moris natural parts of play rather than offerings. Hooking has gotten so boring that it would be nice if hook states built up to the killer just finishing the job themselves rather than waiting for Ms. Entity get her snack.
Survivors should have more things to do during the match rather than just rushing to get out the door. Like surviving is great and is generally an alright win condition, but getting to that point should feel more interactive than it is and that should be where the bulk of the scoring takes place.

Safety pip. Primarily because it basically turns matches involving AFK or other forms of refusing to actually participate into the guaranteed "no contests" they should be.

Hmm I wonder if this will ever change. I have to agree with most voting for safety pip, some games are unfair depips with things out of your control but a lot of things are.
Still I am afraid that it could lead to something bad so I am undecided.

I think the emblem/scoring system needs to be reworked, which is why I didn't vote for it to stay the same, but I'm not sure that an automatic safety for escaping or 4K is the right choice, either.
I'd be worried that there would be some people who would just hide in a locker all game, or slug everyone at 4 gens if they weren't sure they had a huge advantage.

Killer adepts should also return to this. Asking for a player to get 4 iri emblems is absurd, especially as weaker or more difficult killers. There was no reason for adept requirements to be changed.
