Do you feel like the game is usually over after the last gen is done?
Interested to see what you all think :)

Literally the game is not over until everyone escapes or until everyone is dead.
The objectives of the game are literally in the training.
Survivors: Your job is to -ESCAPE-
Killers: Your job is to -KILL-

it depends on the state of the game. if theres 4 survivors not all on death hook when the last gen goes, yes. if theres 2 survivors left, and im chasing one of them, or one is hooked and the other has just done the gen, not at all.

Nope! The game isn't over until everyone is dead or escaped the trail.
I will throw out there that I think a lot of people think that the killer lost if all 5 gens are done, hence the hate for noed. That is not true tho. Match isn't over until the survivors leave the trial ^^

When I play killer, yeah, kinda. The most interesting part is the hunting over the hooking, so it just becomes cleanup.

Pretty much.
I also avoid late-game-only Perks with a passion for this sole reason.

I'm with GoodBoyKaru; whether I'm in a Killer or Survivor role, it honestly depends on the state of the game up to that point. And, in fairness, I've had both Killer and Survivor matches go completely the opposite way than initially expected between last completed gen and EGC!

if i have NOED, no.
if i dont have NOED, it requires a HUGE screw up from the Survivor side of things for me to get anything going (like a 3 man slug).
the most i can do is get the person i was chasing when the 5th gen popped on a hook and then hope to exchange hooks until i get one killed, at which point everyone else leaves.

Nope.
It's not over until the score screen is up.
Finishing 5 gens just makes things more stressful and desperate, since most of the maps resources are gone and the huge snowball potential that many killers can have.
I have the most fun in this game when I'm trying to rescue someone (if they contributed decently to the match) from a camping killer during endgame (don't worry killers, not disparaging campers, yall have nothing better to do after 5 gens, I know). Heck, when I play Trappi Boi, the stakes are higher and if I manage to get a hook or two, I can swing the match in my favor, even if I only had 3-4 hooks throughout the map, and I only run Whispers, Lightborn, Iron Grasp and Corrupt Intervention along with my brown add-ons.

If the game is close and multiple survivors are injured, no. But oftentimes, yes. Endgame perks also tip the scales

I initially thought that EGC generally meant the end of the match but I came to find pretty quickly that it's actually one of the most pivotal moments. As both survivor and killer I've seen massive changes once the last gen is finished or even when the doors have been opened so no, I no longer look at the last gen as being the end of the game. It's the beginning of the final stretch, the last chance for everyone's final play.

Gens done, 1 hook, 3 perks redundant, is it over?
Not necessarily.
2 -
Nope never feel like that even if I lose a pip I play till the end
1 -
No. You can turn a game around after 5 gens, especially if the survivors get cocky.
0 -
No. Depends on too many other factors if the game is over or not.
As killer I never believe it's the over till everyone escapes or dies.

Considering that I've been able to turn 0ks into 3ks at the end of the game by camping the basement, definitely not. :P

That's when NoED activates...

I actually thought this was a thread about last gen consoles...
Regarding the question, no. The game is over when the endgame screen shows up.

I managed to get two kills as trapper while the gates were open thanks to No Way Out buying me time and a few good traps. Almost got three but the third crawled out before I could get back to him even with Agitation lol

yes because if you aren't a insta down killer (or have noed) survivors will just 99 the gate and body block you to help their teammate and tbag you at the gate. after the last gen is done theres very little you can do
0 -
Sort of.
As killer if there are still multiple survivors alive, I feel hopeless.
0 -
This. Game isn't over till it's actually over. Having the gens done still means survivors need to open gates and get out.
1 -
Depends. If i have nobody on death hook and i know the survivors are quite good, i tend to assume that the match is basically over and i won't manage to get any more kills. Doesn't mean i won't stop trying though, you can pretty easily facecamp a kill out in the endgame if the survivors mess up badly.
0 -
It is if you don't build for it. Survivors just swarm the hook and force a bt save out the door.

It's not over, but the final stage of the game is usually pretty simple. It's only every now and then I have a game where a lot of the play happens after the last gen pops, and those are the times I suddenly remember, "Oh, yeah, there's a whole other stage of action that takes place after the gens."

I only ever breath a sigh of relief when I got the last hook on Killer and I actually escaped as Survivor.
Even if I am stomping or steamrolling as either side, I know they can EASILY turn the tides against me if they want to and are capable to. I have to keep the pressure up to make sure I get my 4 kills or escape.
So like @Huge_Bush said. It's not over until the score screen is up.
