FUN FUN FUN love this game
Third time this is happening today, and ofc that my team mates are dumb and gave him another free kill at the end. so he got 3k for doing nothing and making everyone not have fun from the game.
When i need my solo q team mates to actually save me after carrying them, they let me die on first hook KEKW.
Please do something with this stupid killer that if he decides he wants to ruin the game for everyone and waste our time, he won't be able to.

This is less of a Bubba issue and more of an Insidious + Basement issue.
Believe me, if any other killer decided to Insidious camp, particularly someone like Billy, Huntress, or Pyramid Head, the results would be the same.
14 -
Not really, if u go with 2 people in you have a good chance to save now that bt procs even when insidious works.
3 -
It is endgame tbf so he can’t really do anything else
19 -
So the killer wants to secure a 2 kill after only getting 4 hooks during the entire match (or maybe it was just 2 hooks and he also camped the first one).
4 -
And then someone else gets on the hook, so the situation remains the same. Worse if they have Bloodwarden.

dude. he faceamped to death the first player from his first hook, he's a basement bubba with agitation and iron grasp. then he got me and facecamed me too and then my stupid teammate who knew from the start that it's a basement bubba gave him another free kill.
dude. it's a basement bubba he didn't got 4 hooks he forced one guy to die from the start and then faceamped me to death.
4 -
I wonder if he only got those hooks because he camped all game. Cant pressure gens when you're camping with insidious.
1 -
Side by side comparision of my solo survivor matches on red ranks.
According to the hook counter, he got the exact same amount of hooks as a non camping killer would have gotten.
Shocking, i know!
3 -
Red ranked survivor who plays solo here, and we surely do not have the same experience. Unless the killers in your region are really bad and got to red ranks for some reason, that is not whats happening on my games.

What is the debate here? killer downs one survivor, takes him to basement, camps to death. that's it, it's broken and boring and only bubba is very efficent with it
0 -
this is the way of killer to have fun same as survivor who only doing gen - gen speed wkwkw
2 -
The debate here is how many hooks a non camping killer would get in comparison to a camping killer.
If it turns out that they get the same amount of "hooks", then... well...
2 -
I imagine those killers were possibly going for the 'hook x in basement' Tome challenge.
2 -
Can you quote me where I said otherwise? I'm devotion 21, I know what a camping bubba is.
0 -
ah i see you're one of the bot facecamping bubbas players.

I love Basement Bubbas, its a bad strategy that shouldn't work, but yet it does.
3 -
I agree with the second part of your statement. I was excited/hopeful when my teammates started rushing gens against one while I was committed to wasting all of his time to help them escape, but then they decided to try to unhook me anyway. Turned a perfectly winnable "one hooked survivor in the basement with only 2 gens left" situation into a "two hooked survivors in the basement and one injured with 2 gens left" shitshow in an instant.

It’s definitely a Bubba issue. He doesn’t even need Insidious + basement, you can camp most hooks as Bubba pretty easily. Hill hooks are super easy to camp, plus any hooks in the open. You might struggle with jungle gym hooks if the survivors are coordinated but if you go in intending to camp you can just avoid them.
Other killers can Insidious camp basement but you have more of a chance against them. I’d say the only killer who can do it as effectively as Bubba is a Myers with a 99d tier 3.
1 -
What exactly is your point? That camping isn't broken? Or that camping is just as effective as playing normally, so killers should use that strategy?
0 -
We have to stop feeding campers. If you’re the one hook, lose the ego and martyr for the cause. If you’re not, do gens quickly and get out. Ruin THEIR fun by giving them one hook and the other 3 escape.
3 -
That non camping killers barely get any hooks during the current "doing gens efficiently" meta.
Most of my matches survivors have completed 2-3 gens by the time the killer gets his first hook. 4-5 hooks by the time all gens are completed and the gates are powered. Something needs to be done about that, before most killers figure out that its much more efficient to camp the first poor survivor and then the next one. Since according to the hook counter, they get the same amount of hooks with less stress/work.

Basement bubbas are doing it just to be bad and toxic people, they don't care about that. just nerf this killer's way to ruin the whole game if he decides to.
1 -
I see someone is getting their "Hook 10 Survivor(s) in the basement." Challenge done. Good for them.

Yeah I had a Bubba game the other day which I normally like, but he came to me at the start and I didn't have a pallet or window at the gen, so I went down. He stood over my the entire time until I bled out. I would have been fine with that but someone came over and also got downed. I feel sad for people like that, who feel so bad about themselves in their real life they need to ruin games for people for fun, but I am also mad that the devs put a DC penalty in place and now I have to just sit there and let them get away with it.

Quote: "and ofc that my team mates are dumb and gave him another free kill at the end."
That's the issue right there.
Terrible decision making.
Yesterday my gf wanted to play a few matches so I joined her and the first thing we got was a Pyramid Head with Ruin, Undying, Surveillance, I'm All Ears.
As soon as I tested for Ruin at the start of the match I told her it's a bad killer (because let's be real - bad killer players always run slowdown on strong killers. I don't even run slowdown on Bubba and can't remember the last time I lost).
I was the first one to get chased and surprise surprise all the Pyramid Head did was try and zone out windows and otherwise miss 100% of the shots he actually took despite I'm All Ears (which is basically turning his power into ez mode). (it was a P3 Pyramid, too)
After running him for 2 gens he left me so I said:
"if someone else gets hooked stay on the gens - he will camp to 4k via trade hooks and tunneling/slugging"
And surprise surprise the first person he hooked got camped for the entire 2 minutes. Good thing I always bring Prove Thyself so we actually had enough time to do the gens and the gate.
Long story short: We knew it was a terrible killer so we decided not to hook rush and the guy on the hook was a good teammate and didn't even try to unhook themselves giving us enough time and allowing 3 of us to escape and send the killer home with 9k bloodpoints + depip.
People need to analyze players and react appropriately if they want to punish them. A basement Bubba is more than obvious so your teammate could have been smarter really.
Here's the post game result of the Pyramid Head game by the way (names censored for obvious reasons):

Cool story. now do it in solo queue.

Because Me playing with my gf is the same as a 4-man-SWF team. Gotcha.
Besides this isn't a SWF benefit.
All people can individually analyze other players based on how long the chases take, the perks they use etc.
It really doesn't take a SWF team to understand you're facing an insidious camping basement Bubba. It only takes a few functional brain cells.
1 -
Bubba just needs some friends to hang out with in the basement. He means good.
2 -
You know what would prevent your team mates from going down there? "Kindred." Shows everybody the killer, even with insidious when you're hooked (and shows you the killer when someone else is).
But, you know, meta perks only. No room for anything else.
Or, you could just play SWF and get all the free information you could want over Discord, because that's perfectly balanced.
1 -
if the killer has insidious kindred won't show them. Killer's affected by undetectable don't get show with kindred
0 -
Kindred will show a killer who's stationary for a couple seconds and then vanishes all of a sudden.
3 -
I've decided once I've 70'ed this pass...that's it. I'm done. 4 years on PS4 and that's enough.
No lip-quivering goodbye thread. I'm out.
A big thanks to all the idiots who made this game something I dislike.
1 -
Ppl who excuse this be like " but he wanted to secure the kills" yeah sure lmao camping whole game and not just endgame is definitely securing the kills because that's totally legit strategy to just stay still and play starring contest
0 -
Camping is indeed a legit strategy. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not legit. After all, it's the devs who decide what is or isn't legit, not the players.
3 -
Imagine people defending this and saying it isn't something that should be removed from the game rather than just creating more band-aid perks that create problems like DS did. (:
1 -
Kindred doesn't show them, but in many cases people will still do itknowing full well what has been going on because they're bored.
0 -
That's what I don't get about people defending this. It's scary to think that there's nothing stopping every player to do this and the only thing maintaining fun in this game is a subtle honor code.
2 -
Come up with a solution that:
- Doesn't rely on proximity to the hook, which has already been proven to be inherently flawed.
- Isn't based on punishing the killer for camping.
- Isn't based on rewarding survivors because the killer is camping.
- Cannot be abused.
If you can do that, we can talk about removing it.
3 -
Camping whole match is what I call pro [BAD WORD] move but u can call it strategy... If camping one person at 5 gens on is strategy than I'm Cleopatra

Also about what devs decide or not I wouldnt discuss their decision shows the game state rn you finish the puzzle

There's also the universal sign of waving your arms up and down while your on the hook to tell other's the killer is near. If you've played this game for a decent amount of time you know what that action symbolizes.
0 -
Yep. I am going to p3 him and he is one of my worst killers. I just like him and traditional perks do not even scale very well on him. Plus the bloody look really suits him.
0 -
That's not relevant, though. For better or for worse, the developers of a game decide how it should be played.
True, but many newbies think it's the other way around.
1 -
Yeah they do that shows the real game state as of rn
0 -
Maybe we should put it's explanation in the loading screen? Along with "The killer's objective is to kill you!" >.>
2 -
With the highest playercount it's ever had, meaning very few people stop playing the game due to these supposed "big issues"? Yes, I agree.
That'd probably seem disrespectful, so no.

If you think new players came because bhvr is good company or that this game is flawless you're delusional dbd only exists because of lincesed content and popular franchises which got butchered here nemesis is biggest joke we ever seen yet and if it weren't for those players you call them you would still be reading 20 threads in row "nerf ds" players has big part in this game and they obviously took ideas from players it's not first nor last time
