What percentage of the dbd community is gay? Genuine question
I see the pride flag charm on like 80 percent of killers and survivors.no hate just asking is that because it was a free charm or is it actually a genuine expression or shown support of the lgbt community.shout out if you do I'm straight and I do it because blending into the darkness is for lames

It's a larger percentage than a lot of other games, that much is certain. How much larger, though, and the actual percentage is unknown.
A lot of people use the flag to show support, though, not just because they're part of the community

A large part surprisingly. This game is really popular with people in the lgbt community. I also know a lot of Drag Queen's play as well. (Which I absolutely love)

If it helps, a lot of people are okay with just using LGBT+. So long as you recognise that more exists afterwards, it's not a massive stress as to how long you make it.

I was wearing it on pride month. Tbh I am not even sure of my sexuality. When I was dating it was straight but sometimes I am not sure what exactly am I and don't think about that much at all.
I don't find it important and I gave up dating and relationships like 6 years ago when I ended my last one.

I am straight and use the Charm on my Survivors and Killers.
And at least once someone was happy about it, I watched the VOD of a Survivor Streamer I went against, they were happy that I had the Charm on my Hook.

I think it did but the mods were on it. Somebody said "LMFAO" and that comment is gone now. I think the mods deleted it because they interpreted it the same way I did.

It's a nice charm, so I'm sure it has cross-over appeal outside the LGBT community. It's actually surprising and nice to see how many people wear it. I know some people were afraid it was going to be stigmatized, but it seems pretty popular.

Well I am not sure wearing a charm did that much but thanks I guess. My best friend is gay and I never saw him any different than other people.
Lets just say I had complicated childhood and it made me not picking sides and discriminate others based on anything.

DBD is very popular for LGBT people, idk why it's also extremely popular for girls. I find a crap ton of girls on DBD and gay people compared to most other games.
Not that your sexuality or gender has anything to do with your gaming habits or interests. Just for some reason, there is a very large number of them here.
I personally love it tbh, I love the variety of people.

Well, I'm straight and cis but I still use the charm. I know some really nice people who are part of the LGBT community. They don't play the game as far as I'm aware but I might as well use the charm to show support anyhow.

I do notice a lot of the players use pride charms on survivors and killer hooks, so I’d assume there’s a big portion that is gay themselves or support it.
If we’re going by demographic studies then probably less than 10% of players would be gay. It’s still a minority, albeit a vocal one which can give the impression that’s there’s more gay people than there actually are.

I dont wear it with everyone mainly because I sometimes like my charms matching. But I am a supporter of anything LGBT+ because I dont care if you're sexually attracted to lima beans it's none of my concern or business. I will say I am happily surprised at how wholesome and nice this comment section is.

I wonder what makes this game more attractive to the LGBT community than a lot of other games? I've actually seen articles written that have noticed it. Is there a larger than usual LGBT audience for horror in general, or is it something about this game itself?
