Don't be toxic like this, really
When a game normally ends, Hillbilly does his job, slashing some survivors, everything is normal. We don't mind here about the game itself, but about scoreboard screen. When some people decide to be toxic against killer, survivors or both, it happens. But please, PLEASE, don't talk about suicide like this just for a game, you can really hurt someone with this kind of reaction.
Please Behaviour, don't let this kind player without punishment. Of course I have the uncensored screenshot stored, just in case.

Oh- well it looks like both sides are firing, but I see where you're going at. Suicide shouldn't be a laughing or joking matter at all even at an online video game where it's common to be toxic.
That individual should've said something else.

Chat filter, hello???

I have come to the conclusion the problem isn't even with the game. It's how toxic the community is and nothing being done about it. I just got told to kill myself 3 games in a row, even a game I gave the last survivor hatch.
4 -
Never do that, just kill them all and move on.
That's the risk you take when being kind in this community. Actually, I wouldn't even call that kindness, more like satisfying someone's entitlement.

I am from a time when this game was fun, and doing my best not to become like most of the people I encounter now.
2 -
I swear they block Kate Denson's name
4 -
The problem isn't even the community. It's humans in general.

I would report that person. That's a disgusting comment to make.
3 -
I can't even say "Hawkin's" but this guy can say suicide. Cheers BHVR :)

This is absolutely appalling and I’m so sorry that you experienced it. There is never ever ever ever an excuse for telling someone to kill themselves.
2 -
No matter how rude someone can be, death threats are never the option, it's better not to stoop down to their level.

It is like feeding strays. They will just expect more and more!

Oh, but Entity forbid someone get a connection hiccup and accidentally dc. Oh, you had no control over that? Banned. What's that? You're verbally attacking people for just playing the game using the chat system we made? Carry on, nothing to see here...

Thats scary because some people really cant handle talking about suicide

I mean, "Myers" or "Meg" are much more important slurs to be protected from. /s

The "ban" is 5 minutes - if it is more - then you shouldn't be playing if you are having connectivity issues - period.
Back on topic....
I would report them and file a ticket. It's people like this why I have end game chat disabled - it's worthless and serves no purpose imo.

This game shouldn't even have a chat to begin with. All it's resulting in is just pure toxicity

What they did was very wrong but provoking them was also wrong. So billy slash them on the hook and then laughed. After that he called them noobs.
That can't end well. I am not excusing what they did but if you provoke someone it is not a rocket science that things like this can happen. They happen even without it tho lol.
But I can't really side with anyone in this case since no one was polite.

Killer started it first and killer player should be punished for that. Is perma enough how do you think?

Sorry, too busy censoring words "you", "tea", "facecamp" and "Deutsch".

A survivor told me "I hope you choke on your own vomit while sleeping" without any chat filter. I feel like the introduction of the filter made people even more toxic than before, not that i care much since endgame salt can be fun, it just shows how low-life some players are.

Ever see the movie Gamer? It's where they use nanomachines to connect convicts to a network. Then kids with rich parents can pay to take control of them and play actual CoD Deathmatch. Actual people are dying and they don't care because they are convicts. It's fiction but if we ever developed that kind of tech I have no trouble believe people would buy that service.

There are dozens of games with good community's. Final Fantasy XIV for instance, and that's because Square Enix takes toxicity seriously, and does something about it.

That's not the question, I'm not concerned by this, chat filter is for another problem. The problem, like someone said, is the toxicity at human scale. It is not normal to say this kind of thing, it can tremendously hurt some people and has really dark repercussion on them.
2 -
Totally agree with you. Even if the community has sometimes cool things to share with you, most of time, it's just toxix as hell. Chat should be removed from the game, or at least ban definitely people for talking about such subject.
2 -
Yeah, but the problem is not the toxicity, it's the "suicide" subject, like said by mazoobi38 :
There is no way to tell it to someone, it's not just "salt", you don't seem to realize how much this kind of word can have huge impact on Internet.

Looks like a regular day of DBD to me. I just got told to “die in a hurricane” which is a new one, courtesy of the salty survivors from 20m ago.
Personally I enjoy collecting the salt, I think I got over 350 -reps by now? Other games you would have to work harder than this for it

Play some ranked games in smite and join back to DBD. DBD is harmless against this 😅

If I get face camped, tunneled, or see toxic behavior from the killer in-game, I am most definitely starting some heated talking in chat, post-game. But, never use serious things while blowing off some steam. I actually got into a fight with my significant other after they told someone to "enjoy cancer" and then later got into a fight with a friend who brought the person's financials into the chat solely because they were "Spanish-speaking." I do not condone things like that. But everyone is going to want to blow off steam, especially if you are giving the survivors a good reason to be steamy. If the survivors are showing toxic behavior in-game, then, by all means, face camp and/ or tunnel (because apparently, it's a strategy anyway, so who cares). But, other than that, the biggest thing I see killers do that provokes the survivors to crap talk post-game is being toxic in-game. Some examples of being toxic during the game are: Slugging the last survivor and basic attacking rather than hooking. Basic attacking while the survivor is already on the hook. Tunneling and face camping is the literal definition of toxic. I respect all killers until they give me a reason not to. And although it rarely happens, I expect the same in return. If I don't like a killer doing it to me, then as a killer I don't do it to survivors. And if I don't like a survivor doing it to me, then I as a survivor don't do it to killers. It's just common decency and everyone in the community should hold themselves to it. But they don't. Because backwards thinking..."If one does it to me, I do it to all". Which is unfortunate.

Same for me, I don't do what I don't like to others. And my profile is locked to friends, to avoid toxic comments, it's useless.

I agree but i was just referring to the fact that the filter filters so much stupid things but it doesn't filter things like this.

Yeah, that's not normal, you're right.
