Killers stop dcing
When the killer dcs it gives the survivors a disconnect penalty. Even if you are having a bad game there is no reason for you as a killer to dc and penalize the other people playing the game. The only thing we did is having the bad luck to face you in a match.
I know it has been said before, but it would be better if the devs penalized only the player who disconnects. Maybe a better solution would be if a killer dcs it immediately triggers the end game and opens the exit doors. Then the survivors can still escape but cannot just stick around indefinitely farming points.
What do you guys think? Is it cool to penalize others for the killer's actions or to penalize only those who abuse dc?

If the killer DC's, the survivors do not get a penalty. There's some other shenanigans going on there.
Also, ideally, every player DC's as little as possible. Not just killers.

If the killer DCs and you get a penalty, that's a bug and you should report it. Only the player who actually disconnects is supposed to get a penalty.
From my experience, there are not a large number of killers who disconnect (maybe it's different in your region, I don't know). If you have any problems with the game or your internet connection, though, the following may apply to you:
Playing with my friend as survivors, he was recently kicked from a match and it showed the killer as having disconnected, but the match was actually still going (I think this has happened before, but I know it definitely happened a couple days ago). There's some sort of bug where a survivor who gets kicked may see the killer as having disconnected even though the killer did not disconnect.

Killers mostly DCing at the end game when the doors are open. I don't know why they do that. Just wait 10-20 seconds.

Since when do Survivors leave? Once gates are open i stop playing killer, i grab my phone and do whatever till i'm back in lobby and it takes the full EGC time for them to leave. IF Survivors left matches then they wouldn't complain about NOED. Just leave...

I had a killer DC a couple of minutes into a match this morning. I think they might have crashed.
Anyway, I depiped and got a disconnect penalty, my first ever. It was pretty annoying though.

So if the survivors staying, it's a good excuse for killer to DC huh? Smh
1 -
Well, nothing is a good excuse for a DC, but I would say this one is understandable.
Survivors staying usually creates a very frustrating and boring situation that not everyone wants to deal with.
4 -
I did that when I 1st got the game as I had the idea that "technically I didn't lose if I quit"

Probably because you don't leave and tbag them. Maybe not you but others do. Not excusing dc tho just mentioning what could be the reason.
2 -
I feel like the entity should block the exits (basically blood warden) if you sit in it for too long, this would incentivize not sitting in the exit waiting to teabag killers just because you escaped

If the killer is on Switch, it's likely a crash. The Switch has had issues with crashing at the end of a match. I had it happen numerous times as killer.

So instead of waiting at max 2 minutes to get full points etc., DCing to get a 5 minute penalty (and nothing out of the match) is understandable?
Ok!

Maybe killers would be less likely to dc if survivors weren't incredibly toxic for no reason. Whenever I play killer I always get a survivor that tbags me at every pallet and even tbags me when I've done nothing at the beginning of the match. I'm a survivor main and I never tbag anybody for no reason. I would imagine that toxicity plays a big part in the amount of people disconecting :/

I personally just go to the basement, not giving them the pleasure of tbags since that is what they want. If someone is brave to enter I have nothing against it since I probably have tier 3 ready if I am playing Myers.

What they likely do if they are like me they are just going to alt+f4 and go play another game the 5 minute dont matter for them
1 -
Its still nonsense to DC at the end of the game.
Yeah, if I gave up near the Endgame, I am doing the same basically. At max, I run around and break some Pallets or Walls. Its 2 minutes at max to wait this out, so I wont DC for that.

It's annoying, just like being slugged until you bleed out is annoying, but in both cases the scenario has a finite possible duration that's shorter than the first-time DC penalty of 5 minutes. Gonna be waiting one way or another.

i didn't reply to the topic i simply said said survivors very rarely leave,m they rather be annyoing than leaving, they just want to rubb salt for no reason. However if a killer had NOEd they'd complain about it when the solution is the same, JUST LEAVE. I'm just comparing both scenarios since the problem is Survivors not leaving. Just leave, you avoid EGC perks and avoid killers dc'ing for survs being douches

That's what I ask myself everytime a survivor DC on pickup or right when going on their even THIRD hook.
Also most often it is not 10-20 seconds but the full 2 minutes. Btw no matter how many are left. I can let all go playing nice, kill 2 or even 3 and they still wait for any possible reason the whole time.
From the point of view from slugged survivor that dc? Yeah probably.

Not true

Don't be like that to me, my friend, you know I despise DCs.
It is just that this one is easier to understand than others, if you look through the killer's POV.
2 -
Same reasons survivors DC when you down them on death hook. Or second hook. Or even the first one...

The survivors take 3 minutes to leave.

Everyone should stop DCing*
3 -
That the thing most of the time if survivor are at the exit gate the killer got retk and he maybe did 15k bp if he is lucky. So for 15k bp its not worth the wait i prefer to close the game and go play something else

omg if that were the case id be dcing every game, salty end game lobby as the killer is the best part of playing killer
gimme those sweeeet sweeeet -reps
1 -
Same goes for survivors then if they have a bad game and they want to dc or suicide on the hook

This happens not at end game collapse but in the middle of the game, killer gets juked or stunned and quits, and survivors are penalized.

proof
killer dc'd (first photo) I get penalty (second photo)

How is this fair? Hey you escaped and won but we are going to penalize you for it. This happens every time a killer dc's. It is the way the game is programmed to work. I think if the survivor escapes they should not depip and lose their points when the killer dc's. Either the programmers are really incompetent or this is what they want to happen.

And again today, killer dcs with me running out exit gate, I depip, lose points, and get a 15 minute penalty. I think this is a lousy reward for winning a match. Could you consider changing the game so if you escape you get points instead of a penalty when a killer dcs? Or change the description in the game to say "survivors who escape will either get rewarded or penalized for a truly asymmetrical experience."

killers mostly dc when they get a gen rush and juking so hard. Whatever rank of you (Killer) will almost get a red rank survivor. Not fun for killer playing like this, since not so many user want play as killer. Lobby queue will be very long.

doesn't matter which role, DCing is a dick move!

Going DC is a bad thing either way. But if your killers go DC so often, there must be a reason for that. I would think about whether you don't go too hard, take it a little more chilled.Always remember the killer is also a player and not a bot.

I don't play in a toxic fashion. Here is another one, this one happened mid match another player dc'ed and I got the penalty on my next game.
