What is your experience with Nemesis's Zombies?
For me, they are more RNG than pig boxes. Sometimes they harass survivors in loops or block narrow hallways and give me free hits. Other times they run indefinitely into a tree in the corner of the map (I don't have much experience playing against Nemesis yet).
Anyone know if devs intend to improve their AI in the future?
Do certain add-ons like increased detection range make their AI better or worse?

They are just a dumb addition. Nemesis has little control over them and the fact that they keep collision after hitting a survivor leads to a lot of instant lose scenarios for survivors

The only thing I hate about them is the small hitbox for Head On. They should have the same killer hitbox honestly

They are just, incredibly frustrating. For both sides.
As survivor? They're everywhere. You blink and suddenly you're surrounded, they never seem to get bugged, and can track you from across the entire map to forever pester you.
As killer? They spawn in, 3 seconds later they're making out with a rock.
His entire form of map pressure is RNG on top of RNG on top of RNG on top of spaghetti and it really pisses me off.

I think they are pretty good. Give map info, sometimes they harass a bit the survivors, can make looping harder, occasional downs.

To me they're mostly mutation fodder. They never really hit survivors or annoy them enough in any meaningful way imo.

They once gave me an aneurysm on Midwich, they're stupid good on that map. Generally though, they're a decent information tool but not much else.

They're not consistent enough on either side for me to enjoy playing with or against.
They spend too much time getting stuck on everything and anything as Killer, while going from either not present to frustrating to verse as Survivor where they feel like they can sometimes tag team you and force you to spend substantially longer doing certain actions. (Like gen repairs or healing.)
I wish they weren't so RNG. I think they can be kinda funny with how they are now, but I just don't like how extreme their RNG is. At least with Pig and Trapper you'll know you'll be out in a certain amount of tries. (This isn't to say I don't like RNG, as I actually love RNG in this game- I think the map RNG and chests for Survivor are fun gambles. I just don't like that half of an entire Killer's power is based on RNG that no one can really effect.)

Mostly map info and mutation ammunition, at best they will get a single survivor hit in a match.
Its is ALWSYS hilarious when you can run a survivor into them though.

They are fun.
The AI behind their pathing is rather poorly made, but it makes the whole thing even better; zombies are meant to be stupid.

For me, they are usually a non factor or an extremely minor annoyance/benefit. The only situations where they are useful is on indoor maps. Outdoor maps, they maight as well not even exist.
Though, they will occasionally do something odd or funny during a game. Once, while on Macmillan Estate (I think), I was doing a gen inside the killer shack and the female zombie pops in about halfway through the door, Looked right at me, groans something that sounded like, "Hey!" then just walked off somewhere. No idea why it did that but...Hey!

I've gotten a few MLG compilation worthy downs from them, stuff that sticks in my memory to this day. Other times though, i get footage that would let me court order them as utterly braindead.

They're a good information tool as killer, but their track record for getting stuck on even simple objects is uncanny.
It took this zombie 20 seconds to get around this singular tree, once it arrived i found a rock and ran around it so it would be stuck on it until someone else disturbed it.

They help make nemesis the most boring killer in the game.

I've been jump scared by way too many zombies... I feel like they are hit-or-miss. Sometimes I could repair a gen right next to one and it won't detect me at all or I could be super far and it'll come straight for me. I think it was an interesting addition but I'm not the biggest fan

If they wouldn't get stuck on nothing, and we got 3 on huge maps I'd be perfectly fine with them.

I give you zombies but give me tyrant rush like on the games or films.Zombies are dumb as hell in all my games with zombies I just got a down and a few zombies hit but thats it.

As far as I could tell, they were actually useful on the ptb, but then people cried, and now they are nearly useless with the odd moment here or there.

I hate them. They're free gen pressure

They are pretty much rng just like other said. On big map they get stuck alot and honestly I feel like there should be 3 on the big maps. I have been camped by them and I seen one wandered into basement as killer.

i think they're fine for the most part, however i do think that they require a few changes
- their pathing needs major improvements, they get stuck on random terrain and objects and do almost nothing, they should be a bit more threatening
- they could do with a small speed increase, nothing major, but making them a bit faster would be kind of nice
- The speed boost you can get from them by letting yourself be infected by the zombies is a bit stupid, not only do you deny the Nemesis player a good chunk of Infection but you can get yourself out of a dangerous situation by just letting yourself get hit by the zombie rather then the Nemesis, either the zombie should give the Nemesis infection points when they hit a survivor, or they don't grant a speed boost, one or the other

Pretty positive!
I know there's some issues with them, mainly on big maps and more importantly the old maps like red forest and backwater swamp; these maps are notorious for causing zombies to get stuck on random terrain
However I find the zombies to be quite useful, I don't use any of the zombie enhancing addons but I still get a lot of use out of them. At the very least, I can use them to get progress on my mutations during downtime when I'm not chasing anyone and at their best - I use them to box survivors in at loops, forcing them to make plays that only benefit me and me alone
Their tracking is also really useful, as someone who only typically runs bbq as my go-to tracking perk, they provide me with a lot of information

I've never been hit by one that I wasn't intentionally trying to get a speed boost off of

They are frustrating. As I already said when the PTB went live.
As Killer-->They get stuck at everything. At least they provide Mutation Rate, HOWEVER, I am very sure if an original Killer with Nemesis Power would have been released, they would not have included Zombies. They would have given him a passive Recharge or whatever. Zombies only exist because it is an RE-Chapter.
As Survivor-->They are annoying. REALLY annoying. Like, I get pushed away from a Gen because some Zombie spawns behind me. Or, I just die, because there is a Zombie around a Corner or suddenly in a Loop, which I did not hear before due to the Chase Music. Either I get smacked down by the Zombie or I have to run away from a Loop (most likely into a deadzone) which gets me killed anyway.
And I predict, the longer Nemesis is on the Live Server, the more players will find the Zombies annoying.
Last but not least, to make it clear - I said annoying. Not that they are too strong.

I dont know but every time they do something useful its always the male one or at least in my games. He has actually been so good at helping me that i named him mvp

I can only speak from my survivor viewpoint since I do not own Nemesis but they are incredibly easy to kite away from gens, even on indoor maps. I mean you can see and hear them from a great distance. You can kite them into collision to get stuck.
The only time I've found them to be annoying is when I had bad teammates bring them back to a gen. I'd have to play as Nemesis to say for sure what I think needs tweaked but just about every solo queue game I had against him I escaped, if that means anything.

they kind of a nuisance, not difficult or blindingly frustrating. I don’t own the RE dlc so I don’t know how the feel from a killers pov but I’ve seen them get downs sometimes. Overall I just like that they change they way you play when they’re about.

They're ######### garbage. The AI is an absolute joke, and we all know BHVR will never acknowledge or fix it. I've seen zombies have staring contests with survivors, just yesterday I was standing behind a zombie poking it as it stood still (for the entire match) and swung in front of it instead of turning around to get me. They walk into walls, they ignore survivors, and they're too slow to be anything more than a rare speed bump. Literally so easy to run around them
0 -
In my second or third match as Nemesis, they were absolute killing machines, infecting and injuring people left and right (I think they even got a down).
In that same match, they had a staring contest with each other at a window. There is no in-between. Either they're very strong or completely useless.
As a Survivor, they're mostly just annoying. Had a few times where they cornered me and Nemesis took me down, but other than that, they're just annoying.
