Why doesn’t every killer shack have a breakable wall?

Only Dead Dawg Saloon has it for some reason. What was the point of adding it to that map’s killer shack but not the others?
NOTE: I am not advocating for the addition of the Killer Shack breakable wall on every map, just wondering why it’s a one-off on DDS.

The better question is: Why is there even a breakable wall at the Dead Dawg Saloon shack?

Because BHVR isn't known for consistency

That’s the same question, but in reverse. I’m asking if reasoning was ever provided by BHVR.

I believe they did that one as a test to see how it would go. I'm glad they didn't add anymore. I love shack as it is.

Thanks for that explanation. Makes sense.

Only thing I’d change about regular Killer Shack is that you can see through gaps in it. The makes it infinitely easier for survivors to avoid mindgames.
Making shack have solid walls would be great, imo.

But it's like the only example of a breakable wall done right. You take a strong structure and make it fair instead of it just being a pre-dropped pallet like the one on Ironworks.

That map was basically the petri dish for breakable walls. They slapped one on everything, and horribly mutated shack in the process. What does the door even do? Why is it there? Why is the shack hitbox so funky? So many questions.

Real question is, why do we have breakable walls anyways?

I wouldn't encourage them to do so, there are more than enough breakable walls as-is and they're usually just a big time-waster for the killer.
"Let's add loops that are infinite unless you break the wall" -Some moron at BHVR that received a standing ovation from his colleagues

Its because breakable walls came in the same patch as Deathslinger and DDS, it is basically the pioneer map for the mechanic. All other walls were added retroactively to older maps.

The petri dish analogy made me chuckle.
Every DBD player is like Truman from The Truman Show, living our lives normally. Then BHVR is like the News Network that plants scenarios to see how we react.

There really shouldn’t be a breakable wall at shack to being with if were being honest

The thing nobody has mentioned yet in regards to DDS's shack is that it's slightly larger (I believe 16m x 16m?) than regular killer shack (12m x 12m).
With this in mind, the breakable wall in DDS's shack, when broken, changes the structure from a strong survivor tile into a more neutral long wall vault with a strong pallet.
A breakable wall placed identically to DDS's shack doesn't really work with the smaller, regular shacks because, if you imagine a broken wall in the identical place as DDS's shack, a 12m long wall with a vault in the middle and two close entrances around the vault would turn a fairly balanced tile into a heavily killer-sided tile.

That makes more sense, and I’m personally okay with it being a neutral tile with mindgame ability. Especially since it’s the only one of its kind right now.

I only wish they fixed how fast vaults worked then I would be happy with shack again.
it's frustrating when you manage to bait somebody to hesitate but it doesn't matter bc they can fast vault standing still.

Day 539 - Still waiting on BHVR to add breakable floors so I can bodyslam through the basement ceiling as Bubba during my insidious camping ritual.
