We need more maps.
Of course this is just my opinion but I feel we do. I get that the devs focus on bigger things but we only ever get a new map with a chapter and lately its only one per. I feel it would go a long way to help with repetition. I know we got rpd (no comment) but do you guys think we should get more stand alone maps?

Most the new maps have been pretty garbage tbh so I’d rather they focus on balancing the current roster

I would like these maps for the game:
The trickster: burnt stage and backstage.
The twins: The sacrifice altar.
The blight: Maybe a garden of blight plants using asylum realm

I wish I could take an education to be a map designer, cause BHVR needs more map people.
I would like to sit down with BHVR and explain how important more maps are.
To me its the lifeblood of the game and I need blood.

I miss the days when we got new maps with every chapter. Then the Blight Chapter came and the reason we didn't get new maps was because of map reworks. RPD was a nice change
However, what's the excuse of the Pinhead Chapter, no new map but no map rework either? We stilll have 3 realms left

I think they should implement a mix and match thing with maps so as to have a jumble of different ones we definately need more indoor type maps. I was hoping back when trickster was announced we were going to get a indoor stage map for the shows. We unfortunately only got the lobby art for it and never a map. I wonder why they scrapped it to only release RE police station.

With Hawkins being removed entirely, not even being remodeled/reused as an original map, we're even losing some.
I sure do love playing on Wrecker's Yard and Disturbed Ward for the nine thousandth time. If you're lucky, you might even get the Game!

Not to mention characters getting “mashup’ maps, like Clown. They can’t tell me a full clown map wouldn’t be awesome and there’s no way it would be THAT hard to make.

This isn't a Paragraph though, it's a Full Chapter
The Devs have said before that a Chapter can range from one killer, one survivor, one map but can also be Two Survivors, Killer, map or just a killer or just a Survivor.
Paragraphs drop during mid chapters like Leatherface and Ash.

I dont consider reworked maps as new maps becuase they've been there since day 1. But bruh a trickster map would've been great even a French village map for the twins would've been cool.

I wish we could have gotten another Stranger Things map. Maybe the Starcourt Mall or the infected pumpkin farm with the tunnels.

New Maps? Not after RPD and Gideon Rework we don't. Even Trash would be ashamed to be associated with those 2 things... Not to mention Coldwind.

Please. I've been begging for this with corn maps.
I ######### hate that realm so much as either side. They didn't do anything to fix or balance ######### when they remastered corn maps. They just made the problem worse with a new coat of paint.

I would love something like a creepy hotel...
an actual high school (not the little "street with a dentist's office and a single house for some reason" that we got)...
an amusement park...
actual woods...
a cemetery...
and an abandoned mall.

I would love if they made more maps, there is so many cool ones you could do with horror and lately there hasn’t been many coming out. Personally i like the RPD map takes a bit to get used to but once you know your way its cool!

I feel like most of the reworks have been disappointing. I understand that the realm beyond is mostly for visual not gameplay but still. It feels kinda like all the maps are the same sometimes.

We already have a buttload of maps, and plenty still need to be balanced. Pushing more new content is the issue, not the solution

They took some of most busted maps in Disturbed Ward and Cowshed and just did nothing to change that. Extremely disappointing.

I didn't realize that, no. From what I can tell my copy of the game doesn't have a hotel, high school, amusement park, thick woods, a cemetery, or an abandoned mall in it.

There are multiple schools in DBD, and the age of the non-existent students doesn't mean much. Chapel has an amusement perk. Shelter Woods and almost any Coldwind map are about as woodsy as BHVR will ever go. This game isn't designed to handle constant obstructions like in a dense forest. An abandoned mall and a cemetery would be pretty cool, I'm just pointing out the redundancies in your post

- Regarding the school, there's hardly a school of any sort in this game. It's a tiny nondescript building that doesn't resemble any school I've ever seen, with a couple of rooms that range between the size of a closet and a small jail cell. I'm talking about an actual school with a gym, cafeteria, vestibules, a library, etc. You know, a SCHOOL. Not just a little building in the middle of a dead end road.
- Chapel does not have an amusement park, it has a small caravan with a few boxes, a horse, and a fortune telling machine in one small corner of the map. Did you see the picture I posted?
- The Red Forest is about the closest that this game comes to representing anything resembling actual woods, and it's still wide open. Have you ever been in the deep forest? Where the trees form a canopy that light can't penetrate, and where wandering off of an established path will actually get you lost? I can't personally speak for whether the game's engine can support many trees but it used to, so I don't really know why that would be a problem now.
It's perfectly fine if you don't like my suggestions but I find it kind of odd that someone could look at any of the photos I posted and say "oh yeah, that's already a map, that looks like something straight out of DBD".

Right? The caravan is not even close to a full amusement park or carnival map. I've been dreaming of a full Clown map since he came out. Something like this!

Maps are a more important long range life blood of this game than new Killers. Both are essential tho.

Exactly. I have no idea why they didn't go with a full-fledged amusement park. Doesn't have to be anything MASSIVE like Disneyland or anything, even just a basic county fair type of scenario with a handful of roller coasters, a shooting gallery, some snack shacks, etc. It seems like a huge map opportunity was missed for Clown.

I know this is a lot to take in.
Picture #1: An actually good swamp map
Picture #2: A prehistoric map. take the dinosaur out of the image and perfect. As a sort of easter egg you could throw in is dinosaur roars in the distance
Picture #3: A haunted island+lighthouse map
Picture #4: a haunted subway station with a couple floors and the subway as the main building
Picture #5-6: Mountain peak maps
Picture #7: A large haunted estate.
Picture #8: as @miketheratguy suggested a full blown carnival map
Picture #9: real shipwrecks but an actually good swamp map
Picture #10: Mountain-y map
Picture #11: Haunted fortress/stronghold/castle ruins
edit: aspidochelone would also be a really cool map

Uhhh there's Midwich, which literally has classrooms. There's Badham, which gives FIVE school maps. I get what you mean though, could be interesting. BHVR really struggles to make good indoor maps though.
If you want a full on amusement park, go for it. I've seen your pictures, but BHVR never goes that in-depth for any map, they're all somewhat generic besides a couple landmarks.
And again, we will never see a dense forest map, it'd be terrible for gameplay.

Eh. A dense forest map would probably be the equivalent of an indoor map. Hell I could see them taking the bottom floor of Hawkins and making it a dense forest map

I know! The labyrinth from Hellraiser 2 is perfect. I’m sure it’s rights issues (it’s always rights issues) but that’s no excuse for original characters not having maps.

I'd actually rather have less maps but have them play really well. Remove RPD and Haddonfield instead of Hawkin's. Redo totem spawns on the maps so they're not literally next to gens or survivors as they spawn in.
Once we have a good baseline, then add maps and maybe playtest them properly / make sure the map is fun for both sides

I mean if it has passageways it isn't really dense, tbf. I do like the ideas though, I think they could easily turn Hawkins into a carnival or even Korean city streets for Trickster

I think BHVR finally realizes their code is busted and needs to be fixed before they add too much else, plus indoor maps are not widely appreciated

well indoor maps usually have some obstructions like barrels or boxes or crates on passageways and you could replace those with rocks to make it feel more like a dense forest.

They ought to first figure out how to make a functional map. They're too concerned with releasing new content that they divert loads of time/resources away from the overall health of the game. Five years and we're still dealing with this trash.
