Why are moris still toxic?
I want to be clear and say I think the old one was toxic but I've heard a bunch of people complain that they are still toxic and unhealthy. I really don't get it you are already dead if I hook you you did. So why are they still toxic or unhealthy?

well if people are camped til second stage then the killer tunnels off hook just to mori, in that circumstance they are still toxic when used like that but apart from that they definitely are no longer toxic imo.

They are not toxic anymore, some people are simply cryers.
Mori now simple avoid a trip to the last hook., Like Pyramid Head do.

I don't really think Moris are toxic. I guess they do help you tunnel a survivor that got to the second hook stage, because you don't have to pick them up anymore and therefore can't get hit by DS. But toxic surely not.
Items and powers themselves are rarely toxic. If anything, it's how people use them. I personally wouldn't call original moris toxic, they were just severely overpowered. People just used them to tunnel everyone directly off the hook, which seems kind of toxic.
Though again I think players that tunnel are less to blame than the devs that still haven't fixed the issue that tunneling can be so effective.

They aren't toxic, plain and simple. But there is a reason exceptionally salty survs will see it as such. A mori is both rare, and takes way more effort to get than a normal hook. You have to go out of your way to assure you don't hook that survivor when they are dead, and kill them. Survs view it as BM because you're treating them with an especially brutal death.
At least thats what i think they are thinking. Mori's never bothered me so i have no clue

I think it’s in reference to a comment made in the 5th Anniversary stream, where one of the developers themselves (I forget who) called mori’s “toxic”. No idea where in the stream it was said, though I think it was in the section that went over the key/mori changes happening at some point.

Ok when I said old moris were toxic i ment they were normally use to be so. I really hope they don't completely mess them up they are already kind of pointless I mean I think I've killed 2 out of 4 people max the few times I used the new ones because not everyone was on death hook

i actually think it fits well with the vibe this game was started with the idea of, and i dont really consider them toxic either. i think thematically it is a nice touch to execute them at the end.

First time I ever saw one was against a huntress, I'd been playing for about 6 months then and that was new. I was super confused as to what happened.

Thats one situation and its not how most people use it. I can go list every survivor item and give you a example of being toxic with it does that make that item toxic no it doesn't

4 clicky clickys coming into a match yeah I'm putting my money on they coming in planing to be toxic. Yet that doesn't make flashlights toxic

In my experience, whenever I see a mori offering, I know there's a 90% chance the Killer will just camp and tunnel so they can use their flashy mori.
In that way, the Mori itself isn't bad. In fact, it's kind of fun. But unfortunately a lot of Killers will do anything to use them so the match kind of becomes all about this one thing.

Mori's aren't toxic. Especially since the change to them a while back.
This is what's so strange that, during the 5th anniversary, BHVR said that they still felt they were toxic. There was very little going round at the time that I can recall of people being unhappy. Really, dying a different way to having some spider legs lift your impaled corpse upwards is somewhat refreshing.

The only time when i see them as problematic are when it's a cypress mori and the killer has to leave the other survivor to die on hook before they can use it.

Thats the point I was making. To be fair I haven't ran into a 4 flashlight that hadnt tried to bully me. But just be cause one or two is in the lobby doesn't mean they will be toxic

It can go both ways I could make them pay if they slip up enough but I find when I get those people they are red rank and above my skill level. Moris don't actually save you any time or really have a benefit to the killer. The animation normally takes long than it would of taken for you to pick up and walk 5 feet and the survivor has to be on death hook so if I mori you or hook you you were dead either way

Behavior can't seem to figure out how to do that when they try to fix something to make it non abusable they tend to brake that thing completely. I think is mostly the community though and they just say this is toxic and thats toxic. When its not 9/10

I mean, that is more the team's fault than the killer. Why wouldn't you hook trade if it was getting close to stage 2?

Even at the if you hit stage 2 your dead on hook anyway so the mori didn't help at best you avoid DS

Well killers can second stage camp, it's not always on the teammates. Many killers will camp til second then tunnel just to use the mori. To me, that is toxic.

Well, yeah, if they are getting close to second stage, I am going to stick around to confirm it or trade. It isn't my fault they made that guy a free target. I just do not get this mentality of survivors blaming killers for their teammates ineptitude. Rofl. But whatever, it is what it is. I am used to it at this point.

See you're kind of assuming I have a survivor mentality when I equally play both sides. I can admit killers do this and it's unfair and survivors could still try and save too. So I don't really get where you're coming from in the sense of just assuming I had that mentality.

No, it is not an assumption. You are literally implying it is somehow wrong to not give a free unhook, and instead of blaming survivors, who are the only party that can actively stop stage 2, you are saying the killer is toxic.
You are entitled to your opinion, but surely you can see that the logic isn't consistent and hiding behind the subjective card doesn't really justify it any more. No offense intended. I know it comes across as rude, but I get why you would think camping to stage 2 is a bit sus.
Maybe the context is the issue, I am thinking they come to unhook right as stage 2 starts REGARDLESS. But if they wait out most of stage 2 as well to crank out gens, then yes, I swing my mentality to the killer was being toxic. I guess the timing is relevant and perhaps that is where the difference of opinion comes from. I just do not see how survivors refusing to help their teammate and me noticing the bar is close to stage 2, so I go to defend, is "unfair" to you.

yeah every now and then i still get people who complain about in KYF's. i wouldn't even call it over powered, sure it counters DS but ever since the nerf I feel like it's become a niche perk. don't get me wrong about DS it need the nerf

But why? You are saying a lot, but you have never actually given a reason. Why is it toxic? Like, it literally just sounds like someone doing a daily to me. Sucks to be the guy who was found first, I guess. But toxicity surely needs intent. If they were just doing it to be mean, sure. completely agree, and the term toxic is subjective which people tend to forget but fl are not toxic, certain killers aren't toxic etc... it is the person playing them

I think it's more that people that run mories are more likely to have ultra sweaty builds that just make the match miserable

I was play a clown and this Kate kept running in front of me injured im sure from her point of veiw I tunneled her and I'm an jerk but I just kept finding her accidentally and even passed by her once because I felt bad

If toxic is subjective, flashlights are toxic. Not the person using it. But I will punish them regardless.

You can't cancel spam, like you can with flashlights, so how are they toxic? They're literally a handicap most of the time because the person's dead on hook anyway, and the animation is longer than just hooking someone, and you don't get Pop or BBQ from it. I find it surprising that anyone complains about them.

It actually isn't good for me, its GREAT. The game got exponentially more fun once I submitted my soul to the order of Lightborn. I just wish they buffed it to where the person trying to blind me got blinded instead. You would lose out on all the free hits because they would realize you were wearing the perk instantly, but you have to admit, it would be worth it.

Killers should be the yellow mori as base kit. Green and red moris should be too but add a requirement. Maybe 6 hooks and the survivor has to be on final hook.
